Recitation.

Kitties!

KonaKitty here, relaxing in my heavenly Heaty Cat Cup.

Our friends Derby & Ducky issued a challenge (via the Trout Talkin' Tabbies) to come up with a parody of The Twelve Days of Christmas without making any references to birds.  After giving this some thought, (and taking a few naps) I decided to go with a Mojave Desert theme!
So, without any further ado, my rendition of:

The Twelve Days of  Mojave Catmas

On the twelfth day of Catmas, my true love gave to me
Twelve scorpions stinging
Eleven Lizards lounging
Ten Jacks a-jumping
Nine Bobcats hissing
Eight snakes a-rattling
Seven Mule Deer Braying
Six Coyotes* yipping
Five Ringtail Cats
Four Bighorn Sheep
Three Black Widows
Two Gila Monsters
And a Pack Rat in a Mesquite

What do you think?  I rather like it.

Happy Wednesday!

XX  KonaKitty  XX

*Properly pronounced ki-oats, not ki-o-tees, which is for rubes.

Lishy would be happy to show you all how to store spiders in pantaloons. Pantaloons are an excellent place to raise them as minions!

  19. KonaKitty, I love that heated cat cup. Love it.

That was a very clever song. But, the lady got a shiver when she read that first line because she was stung by a scorpion a couple of years ago! It REALLY hurt.
