Kitties!
Sylvester here.
Up until the other day I wasn't interested in the cubes.
I just didn't see the appeal.
I'm always ready to try something new, though...
...so when I decided it was time, I dove right in!
Hmmmmmmm, it's pretty fun in here.
Maybe there IS something to Cubism!
I quickly found out that strange things happen when us Cats go in cubes:
Toys go flying by!
The mousie that just sailed by squeaked and attracted some attention.
Namely Sweet Pea and The Baby.
And Salem!
hee hee, The Baby thinks the sparkle ball is what squeaked!
ho, ho, ho, now she's sniffing the catnip package.
That doesn't squeak, either.
She's getting into the nip.
That squeaky mousie is RIGHT THERE, heh heh.
Oh Crap! She heard me laughing.
I'm in trouble now!
The Baby: HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Oh, for Cod's sake.
Did you kitties know that one of her nicknames is "Miss Histrionic"?
hee hee!
Anyway, I love Cubism.
Happy Monday!
XX Sylvester XX
Sylvester...you are reminding me it's been awhile since I've been in my cube. I think there's room enough for 2!
ReplyDeletexoxo Bennette
I should get one of those for the oldies here. I really enjoyed seeing both white cats in one picture. Have fun with the cube.
ReplyDeleteMan I wish I had a cube!
ReplyDeleteI wish I have a cube too. We only have one tunnel....and shared by six cats? purrrr *giggles*
ReplyDeleteSylvester, I blow hot and cold on my cube. The Human was afraid I wouldn't go in it at all (I DO NOT like boxes) but the cube has so many openings it's not scary at all! (But it would be scary if Bad Whitey was HISSING at me like that. I would not care for that *at all.* I think you are very brave or maybe just very foolish.)
ReplyDeleteOMC, when it comes to toys, The Baby is about as smart as my roommate Boodie (in other words, not-too). We don't have any cubes, but I am certainly intrigued now... I am beginning to think they are magical!
ReplyDeleteShouldn't the Baby's nickname be Miss HISSSSStrionic?
ReplyDeleteSly, our Mom's met a lady cat today who could be your twin. Her name was Zazzy.
"Miss Histrionic"
ReplyDeleteMOLMOLMOLMOL!!!
xoxo
Ms. Stella O'Houligan
Yup, cubism is great, we haf four of dem and we like to play "sneak up on da kitty in da cube".
ReplyDeleteWe talk about Precious' cube on our post today. She lufs hers. Apparently you can do things in the cube that aren't allowed outside the cube. Like attacking and biting. I'm sure you kittehz are better mannered than that. Haf a good time! xoxo
ReplyDeleteYep ! Sylvester, Dad said " when woman turns to be Miss/ Mrs Histrionic , Stay Cool and Calm, Do hiding if need ; ) " It helps woman get back to normal...heh..heh..heh..That's exactly what you did ; )
ReplyDeletexoxo
Miss Hissie isn't too bright is she hehehehehe ;) That's probably what made her hiss - she realized that mew was watching her and knew she'd missed the squeaky target hehehehe. Cubism has it's advantages doesn't it ;)
ReplyDeletePurrs for a great week! Try and stay cool on the Catio.
Romeo
That is a great place to hang out and observe the action of your fellow lounge cats!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you got brave enough to give the cube a try. Enjoy lounging in it and keeping an eye on the other kitties and see what they are up to. Hugs and nose kisses
ReplyDeleteThe cube look like fun! It's the perfect spot to ambush the unsuspecting kitty (or human).
ReplyDeletePicasso would be so proud! Miss Hiss lolol.
ReplyDeleteSweeet surreal Sylvester!! You are an artist and The Baby is a divine Diva!! You both create a magical creative force! Yay!! Take care
ReplyDeletex
High brow! Cubism... its here we come when we need to be mentally stimulated! Lovely. Love Helen, Darcy and Helen xx
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Miss Histrionic!
ReplyDeleteWe love cubes too. We have to get some new ones, as kittens peed in all of ours and they got chucked out. Sigh.
Cubes are such fun ~ we ripped ours to shreds and need new ones now.
ReplyDeleteAH!! Mom says I share that title! I am always bustin' the histrionics moves around hre..and whining too!
ReplyDeleteSylvester, you look good in that cube. They are fun. We like ours a whole bunch. Isn't if fun to watch the goings on around it. Love the flying toys. We will have to see if we have flying toys. Have yourselves a really good week.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you finally checked out the cube. AND WE WANT FLYING TOYS TOO!!
ReplyDeleteCubes ROCK!!!
ReplyDeleteWe love our cubes too, except it`s mostly Deli that uses hers. Poor Sweet Pea lost hers because the little one peed in it!
ReplyDeleteCubes are definitely awesome when toys go flying by! Sometimes at our house they fly INTO the cube!
ReplyDeleteMommy M and The Garrison
You are still getting to know about all these fun things after spending all that time living at the v-e-t. These things are new & different.
ReplyDeleteScooby doesn't trust that I won't pounce him so he doesn't go in, Shaggy can't fit through the hole very easily, so I own the cube here! -Scout
Leia luffs our cube! Me, not so much, but maybe that's more cuz I am a bit (ok, a lot) too big to fit comfortably in one.
ReplyDeleteThat cube does look like lots of fun, except the hissing part!
ReplyDeleteYou made us both laugh today Syvester - we're glad you like fun in your cube.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
The Farm cats don't have cubes. They have boxes which are rectangles
ReplyDeleteCubes are awesome, Sylvester. We're glad you finally saw the light!
ReplyDeleteWe think you are a cutie, Sylvester. And CatDaddy says you handled that female just perfect!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy Monday!
Haha ~ oh you kitties ~ always up to something fun and making me smile. A perfect way to start the week! Of course, Monday August long weekends help too! ;)
ReplyDeletexo Catherine
Hi Sylvester...I know what you mean about the cube....I just recently decided I like mine.
ReplyDeleteMOL at Baby's picture is she stays hissy tell Johnny to eat her. MOL
Question:
We have an August 1 post up but evidently folks cannot see it...everyone is posting on yesterdays. Same thing happened on with Sundays folks commented on Sat. Can you see Aug 1 titled 'things I adore'?
We are just wondering what is going on.
Hugs Madi
Wow - look at all the fun you have been missing. he he - it looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteWe were beginning to think cubes were a good place to hide from girlcats, until she spotted you!
ReplyDeleteSylvester you take your Cubism seriously as there is an abstract element to the cube as any artist would love to produce.
ReplyDeleteHey Sylvester thats one cool toy you have there, wish us humans had cubes to play in
ReplyDeleteGreat cube you have to play/hide in Sylvester :)
ReplyDeleteMy dad say the same as Mr Puddys dad = Bevare of Miss/ Mrs Histrionic !!!
Sylvester, you are just so cute in the cube! We don't have a cube but we would love one so we can have flying mousies too!
ReplyDeleteSylvester, we are glad you discovered the power of the cube! We love our cubes. As a matter of fact, ours have been put away for awhile, so we think we will have to get Meowm to bring them back out!
ReplyDeleteI never knew you had such an abstract mind, Sylvester! You are a very deep thinker indeed, and thinking inside the cube is better than thinking outside the box.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly didn't deserve the hissy fit from The Baby. However, I know from Domino that this is how ladycats attempt to keep you mancats in line.
Sylvester I'm glad you are trying new things. It's good to expand your horizons!
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles,
Oskar
You look great in your cube! I'm glad you decided you like it!
ReplyDeleteHarley has pretty much ruined our cubes. He plays too rough.
ReplyDeleteHi Sylvester! Cubes are a lot of fun. I am glad you discovered new fun!!
ReplyDeleteLook at the face of The Baby - her nickname Miss Histrionic is a very good one! Heh heh.
Sylvester
ReplyDeleteCan I do some cubism with you?
Gracie
Hehehehe! The cubism is so cute!
ReplyDeletenow we want a cube :)
ReplyDeleteemma and buster
hee hee! I was gonna do my Toesday post in the Cube! I really like ours. I like to pop wheelies: if you get all the way in and then lean back on one side, the other end pops up, mol! The Baby's nickname is funny! I could call Pip that...
ReplyDeleteMinnie
xo
That cubism sure is great, Sylvester!
ReplyDeleteMiss Histrionic ... MOL!!!
We think you should stay in that cube until The Baby calms down a little, Sylvester!!
ReplyDeleteI love my cube too. If mum can't see me, that's usually where I am. Want to come and share Sweet Pea? I'm sure it's big enough for two.
