Kitties!
Salem here. And ME, Sylvester!
(and Sweet Pea, who saw the whole thing!)
Mommy and Ashley brought home these two Most Excellent Boxes for us. She propped 'em up on the ESS for us to play tent.
Salem: I took the left tent.
Sylvester: I took the right one!
10 seconds pass...
Salem: I'm bored with this side...wanna switch?
Sylvester: Noooooo, I like this tent. It has a great snootstril-picker thingy.
::mild bickering::
Grayce: Can't you two get along?
Sylvester: Sisters! I'm outta here. Too many girl cooties.
SUCCESS!
Salem: I better scuttle in here before anybody else wants the right tent!
Oh yeah, this one is better.
Way better.
I love love love this side soooooooo much!
Singing Salem: I'm in the right side, I'm in the right side!
10 seconds later:
What?
I got bored.
It's a Lady Cat's prerogative to change her mind!
Sylvester: Oh, for Cod's sake.
More box stories tomorrow...
Happy Tuesday!
XX Salem & Sylvester XX
Salem, Despite my undying devotion to you and your JLLs, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to let my Inner Mancat rule here. You and Grayce were Not Nice to poor Sylvester. That's all I'm sayin'.
ReplyDeleteUm, could you send Filthy Dirty Whitey over here pretty soon? I'm waiting.
Keep 'em coming. They're hilarious. Love the surprised look.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea of box tents leaned on an ess! And we love the Hello Kitty bed too.
ReplyDeleteCome on guys and girls, we all know the best box is the one the other cat occupies! And when you get there it all reverses. So the best thing is to tear the box up....
ReplyDeleteWow! What a fun idea she had. You guys are lucky to have a mom who has creative play ideas!
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the title, I thought I was going to see some good paw smacks over those boxes! C'mon you all, I know you have it in you!
ReplyDeletePawsome! I love to play tent!
ReplyDeleteWe can't wait fur more box stories! Enjoy! xoxo
ReplyDeletePfft, Grayce reminds us of Speedy...no one is allowed to bicker, yell, hiss or anything fun. He even gets upset and barfs when mom and dad haf hissy fits at each other. We think he does it on purpose, whatever, it works 'cuz da pawrents stop yelling and get all "oh, baby boy, are you okay?" and chit. Stoopid humans.
ReplyDeleteBox Rocks! >^,,^<
ReplyDeleteMOL..Miss Salem, You remind me the quote " The grass is always greener on the other side, until you jump the fence and see the weeds up close."— Albert Grashuis
ReplyDeleteGood Luck, Sylvester ;
xoxo
Hee he, Mummy is laughing her head off. BONK . There it goes :)xx
ReplyDeleteThose do look like great tents. Maybe you two boys should be a little nicer but our boys here would have done the same thing. Have yourselves a great day.
ReplyDeleteHow appropriate - Teddy is boxing on my blog today too! Happy 501, since I missed 500.
ReplyDeleteBoxes are the best! It looks like you both had some good fun!
ReplyDeleteThey look like tuxie bookends!!!
ReplyDeleteNicki agrees with Punapippuri -- the best thing to do with boxes is eat them! That will resolve any dilemmas as to who gets which box. :-P
ReplyDeleteYOu made mommy's day. She is ready to log off and go to the Torture Chamber for her hand and wrist..and you made it better, Salem and Sylvester.
ReplyDeleteLove your boxes. Actually I am a sucker for boxes, whatever size or colour.
ReplyDeleteMOL! too funny!
ReplyDeletePerhaps you could play a game of musical boxes.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
You are so silly! The best box is the one the other cat is sitting in...always.
ReplyDeleteI like what you did with those cool boxes. In the close-up shots it almost looks like Sylvester and Salem are wearing square Japanese hats or something!
ReplyDeleteIt's just like a cat to think "the grass is greener on the other side", so to speak. No conTENTment comes from coveting others' PUSSessions!
OMC - those are awesome boxes!!! We see many days of entertainment....
ReplyDeleteReally yoo should have a baker's dozen of boxes ~ it's only fair.
ReplyDeleteBoxes are simply the best! Sharing is harder!
ReplyDeleteI'm following your blog a few days make, but the accommodations of your cats are the most beautiful I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations.
Sometimes even boxes are too much work...but a nap usually solves that problem!
ReplyDeleteBox tents!
ReplyDeleteNow that rocks! Sylvester, the rule here is if you move, you lose it.
Mostly that applies to mom, whenever she moves off a chair one of us will steal it. And yes, she'll *usually* go sit elsewhere!
You are so lucky that your mom and dad propped it up like that, even if you did get "bored."
ReplyDeleteSylvester, it looks like you got the comfy spot while Salem is still trying to decide where she wants to be!
ReplyDeleteBoxes are the very best aren't they? Doesn't matter the size or shape....they are just wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIt goes to show you, the best things in life are free.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a cat-in-the-box. Doesn't matter how big or how small--Scooter will climb in a box every single time. :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe the box needs to be redecorated....
ReplyDeleteYou silly girl, Salem!!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love these pictures!
ReplyDeleteMOL it looks like the Katnip lounge is full of kitty enrichment pleasures...
ReplyDeleteMom cracked up at the cooties.
She said when my sis was a little girl she gave her self a cootie shot every morning before school to ward off the boy cooties...she would say:
"circle, circle, dot dot now I have the cootie shot"!!
I'm online until we get kicked off which could be minutes or hours.
Hugs Madi
*MOL*
ReplyDeleteMe and dad say´s that it´s just plain woman behavior = never ending changes ;-)
Sigh! Those boxes are making me drool with envy. Boxes are soooo much fun.
ReplyDeleteLove it, looks like you and Sylvester are facing off at high noon in the first couple! Am also now inspired...got an 'ess', must go find boxes... =^..^=
ReplyDeleteBoxing day ! what fun ! I'll think of it for organizing a birthday cat party !
ReplyDeleteBoxes are wonderful things! And you've got TWO new ones.
ReplyDeleteAbout the window and nose prints......Meowm actually clened that window not long ago. Between us and the outdoor kitties it didn't last long! I may have to have a talk with her about cleaning it more often...I need the full effect of the sunbeams! ~~Orion
ReplyDeleteBoxes are great for a while, and especially when someothercat is really enjoying a spot. Then I really love that spot too.
ReplyDeletebbonkbonk
Sweet Sylvester - there will be no peace with your gorgeous sisfurs around!! Makes life more interesting!

ReplyDeleteThose are awesome boxes! The snootstril picker thingy and all those peeky holes make them perfect. We have a feeling you kitties are going to have a LOT of fun with those.
ReplyDeleteLike the grass is always greener on the ofur side of the fence, I guess the box is always better on the ofur side of the ESS!
ReplyDeletewe understand, Salem. The fun is in the fight over the box :)
ReplyDeletePip, Smidgen, Minnie, and Hollie

ReplyDeleteGlad to see you back too!
That is a great setup! I love how symmetrical you look.

Your human staff does a good job of making certain you have lots of things and places to play.
ReplyDeleteHow does that saying go? It's always funner on the other side? Something like that, we're sure. We've missed you all so much - our mom SUCKS. We hope everyone is doing well.
ReplyDeleteYour long, lost friends, Fuzzy and Zoe
Oh Salem, you are a sneaky one...those boxes made you do it.
ReplyDeleteMumsy is laughing outloud...how funny you all are! Those box tents are cool. Hugs and nose kisses
ReplyDeleteNow that is a lot of mileage out of two boxes...a good return on investment! Looks like fun...and great for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBoxes are always so much fun for kitties to play in!
ReplyDeletexo Catherine
