Kitties!
Grayce here, with a big huge THANK YOU for all of your purrs for my friend Steve!
They are working!
It was touch and go a few days ago; the surgeon had to operate again, but he's been getting better every day since then.
Today he was conscious, and even had the breathing tube out for almost four hours before he started to struggle. Mommy and Daddy went to the hospital to see him, and to help his Mom out with some chores afterwards. Steve knew them and was happy to have company. Mommy was able to read his lips a little, and he waggled his eyebrows for responses. He's on some Super-Duper Human Catnip (morphine) and doesn't feel a speck of pain.
I'm glad to know Steve's starting to recover.
I'll sleep well now.
Oh! And in case you're wondering, Mommy DID tell Steve she was gonna kick his arse.
hee hee! He enjoyed that.
Happy Friday!
We hope to be able to do some commenting starting Saturday, HURRAH!

ReplyDeleteThat's good news. If your Mom is going to kick arse, the hospital will need to have a bed reserved for 6 months or so for Steve to recover fully! Happy Friday.

ReplyDeleteMy mom had peritonitis from a burst appendix when she was 13. Not quite the same but it was pretty bad. She was on the danger list (this was in the old days) for 5 days and hospitalized for 12. I'm glad she made it, else I wouldn't be here either!

Thanks for the tips today about Lucy. I play with her every evening, but I am going to get some valerian root ASAP. Our plague ratsies have lost their stink a long time ago. It's time to go shopping at Nip and Bones again. :) Interestingly, lots of people are saying the same thing about old age.
We are glad to hear that Steve is improving and we will continue our purrs until we know he out of the hospital and on the road to a full recovery.
