Kitties!
Rupert here, patiently waiting my turn.
Mommy put down a plate of chikkun in gravy.
Sylvester was all over it like white on rice.
*lick lick (giant mouthful) GULP*
*smackety smack lickety lick lick YUM*
What?
He pigged down half the plate in no time flat!
Daddy told him to give me a turn.
I ate the other half, and MUCH more neatly, too.
Rats.
Happy Sunday!
XX Rupert & Sylvester XX
pee ess: Thank you all so much for the purrs, get well wishes, and scoldings! Mommy is feeling well enough to return to the salt mines work today, her back is still stiff, but nowhere nearly as bad as before. We are pretty sure she's learned her lesson about heavy furniture!
For a moment there, I did not think you were going to get ANY, Rupert! 'Cause as you know, with kitties, patience is NOT a virtue! It's all "Every cat for himself!"
ReplyDeleteYou need to protest buddy. Mom should have put down a plate for you too. hisss on mom.

ReplyDeleteIt seems there is a touch of AbbyGoat in Sylvester....
ReplyDeleteWe are glad your mommy is feeling better
You sure are patient to just watch while Sylvester pigged out! We were worried watching was all you were going to get, Rupert.
ReplyDeleteGlad your Mom's feeling well enough to go back to work...though it doesn't quite sound very right.....
Sharing is caring, dears. Share together. That's what our human always tell us.
ReplyDeleteSo glad mom's feeling better. Purrs for her to get well completely.
Rupert, what a good boy you were! This morning there was a horrible crash and little Oui Oui ran into the dining room. When the mom ran to see what was what, I was eating her breakfast - caught in the act! My advice to you? Cause a diversion then eat as fast as you can! Purrs Mica Minnie Moo
ReplyDeletePS Glad to hear your mom is better and back in service. Its so inconvenient to only have one slave, er, parent to wait on one!
That looks good! Rupert, you are so patient. Just like Simba. Not like Lucy.
ReplyDeleteSorry I missed yesterday's post about your mom but am glad to hear she's feeling better. I hope that continues!! Looks like CC and the rest of you are taking good care of her.
Howz about a separate plate? We would be offended! Looks yummy, though! At least you got sum fuds, efun if it was left-overs!
ReplyDeleteSome belated purrs for your poor mummy!
ReplyDeleteSylvester , I don't like to share either, but I have to say " daddy's word " is a magic word ! Have to do whatever he taught us.
ReplyDeleteAnd Hooray for your mom, Still purring for her 100 %
Please Take Care
xoxo
We are glad your Momma is feeling better. That is not good when Momma's don't feel good.
ReplyDeleteGemini
That was a slurp-fest and very messily devoured, even if we say so ourselves! And we do hope there were at least half a dozen other plates of food distributed for the others. Good luck to Mommy, going back to purify the waters of the desert.
ReplyDeleteI would not like to have to share my foods. Maybe with CC I might share.
ReplyDeleteWhen the food bowls go down it's dog eat dog in our house.. or er something like that! What I mean is that it doesn't matter if there is 1 food bowl or 5, whichever one Sookie is eating from is obviously the one with the yummiest food... or so Mr Darcy thinks =^..^=
ReplyDeleteWe are glad mom is better. Try to tell her that "putting her back into it" should not be taken literally!! x
ReplyDeleteWas this just an R&S special or did the rest of you get a look-in too?
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
Tell Mom that we were both, even mom tried, purring for her. I must say, elegant handsome Rupert is a study in manners.
ReplyDeleteAnd who put Mommy's food down for her? In her time of need? May I ask?
ReplyDeleteAwwwww most wonderful Sylvester!!! Awwwww me and Charlie love that you love your yummy chicken in gravy!! Yayyayayay!! We hope you get seconds!!
ReplyDeleteLovely Rupert - we are in AWE at your table manners! Yay!
Hugs and purrs to mum - hope she continues to take things easy - no lifting!! Yay! Take care

Sylvester and my husband need to get together. My husband is the BIGGEST SLURPER that I have ever seen!
ReplyDeleteLet me tell ya it is BEYOND IRRITATING!!
Love from Cody's "Mom"
Sylvester, you are way more colour- coordinated to that orange plate than the evil food-hogging show-off Rupert. Mommy should only let YOU eat from the orange plate!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to share! And Rupert, you are such a good and patient boy. :)
ReplyDeleteWe are glad your mom is feeling better!
my goodness, what's up with the stingy humans only giving one plate of goodness?! what conditions you must endure! :)
ReplyDeleteWe sure are glad to hear that the Mom is feeling better. Nothing worse than a sore back. Rupert you sure are a very good boy to wait your turn. That sure looks like good food. Have a terrific Sunday
ReplyDeleteJust one word: NOM!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't seem fair that one of you got more than the other!
ReplyDeleteThat is great that you 2 got ta share the yummy chick-hen, but what about the OTHER squillion of the Loungers?
ReplyDeletePluma here, I am so glad your Mom is better, Must be a Mom thing, mine tried moving something too heavy then hurt so much she couldn't pick up ME! That was awful! No pickups for weeks, very inconvient, let me tell you!
ReplyDeleteMy Dearest Rupert, you are the model of a gentleManlyMancat. I can't say I would tolerate such behaviour and I *don't* share my food dish.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone even comes near (within 5 feet) I will growl, snort (even with food in my mouth) and then stomp my paw out sideways! It's really not ladylike at all but it keeps the mongrels at bay. (even when they are only in my mind)
xoxo
Ms. Stella O'Houligan
Ppessss: glad your mum's on the mend. Just in time for her multifarious, magnificent, smashing halloween ensemble. Please to send photos.

ReplyDeleteSylvester looked as if he was triple daring you to come near his food. MOL where were the other 11.
You all are so right my mom is for sure crazypants and unfortunately she passed it on to my sissy. When sissy was a wee lass she wanted a plant of her own. They got her an Ivy geranium she named it Cindy Musselwhite....no idea why..MOL This house is full a crazypant females.
Hugs Madi
