Slurping Sunday

Kitties!

Rupert here, patiently waiting my turn.

Mommy put down a plate of chikkun in gravy.
Sylvester was all over it like white on rice.

*lick lick (giant mouthful) GULP*

*smackety smack lickety lick lick YUM*

What?

He pigged down half the plate in no time flat!

Daddy told him to give me a turn.

I ate the other half, and MUCH more neatly, too.

Rats.

Happy Sunday!

XX  Rupert & Sylvester  XX

pee ess:  Thank you all so much for the purrs, get well wishes, and scoldings!  Mommy is feeling well enough to return to the salt mines work today, her back is still stiff, but nowhere nearly as bad as before.  We are pretty sure she's learned her lesson about heavy furniture!

  1. For a moment there, I did not think you were going to get ANY, Rupert! 'Cause as you know, with kitties, patience is NOT a virtue! It's all "Every cat for himself!"

  5. You sure are patient to just watch while Sylvester pigged out! We were worried watching was all you were going to get, Rupert.

Glad your Mom's feeling well enough to go back to work...though it doesn't quite sound very right.....

  7. Rupert, what a good boy you were! This morning there was a horrible crash and little Oui Oui ran into the dining room. When the mom ran to see what was what, I was eating her breakfast - caught in the act! My advice to you? Cause a diversion then eat as fast as you can! Purrs Mica Minnie Moo
PS Glad to hear your mom is better and back in service. Its so inconvenient to only have one slave, er, parent to wait on one!

  12. That was a slurp-fest and very messily devoured, even if we say so ourselves! And we do hope there were at least half a dozen other plates of food distributed for the others. Good luck to Mommy, going back to purify the waters of the desert.

  13. I would not like to have to share my foods. Maybe with CC I might share.

  14. When the food bowls go down it's dog eat dog in our house.. or er something like that! What I mean is that it doesn't matter if there is 1 food bowl or 5, whichever one Sookie is eating from is obviously the one with the yummiest food... or so Mr Darcy thinks =^..^=

  21. Sylvester, you are way more colour- coordinated to that orange plate than the evil food-hogging show-off Rupert. Mommy should only let YOU eat from the orange plate!!!!

  27. Pluma here, I am so glad your Mom is better, Must be a Mom thing, mine tried moving something too heavy then hurt so much she couldn't pick up ME! That was awful! No pickups for weeks, very inconvient, let me tell you!

  28. My Dearest Rupert, you are the model of a gentleManlyMancat. I can't say I would tolerate such behaviour and I *don't* share my food dish.
If anyone even comes near (within 5 feet) I will growl, snort (even with food in my mouth) and then stomp my paw out sideways! It's really not ladylike at all but it keeps the mongrels at bay. (even when they are only in my mind)
