Kitties!
Sweet Pea here, along with The Baby, in Daddy's office.
Me and Bibbles may not always see eye to eye on certain things (like if Johnny is a Cat-ible or not) but there's one thing we both love to do:
Watch birdies!
Daddy threw some seed out onto the front patio to lure the tender morsels into our slavering jaws attract birdies. We get lots of sparrows and finches, which Mommy calls Little Brown Jobs (LBJ's). In this photo the larger bird is a female Grackle. Grackles are so smart, they will dip pieces of bread that are too large to eat into the birdbath to soften them up! We bet their large brains would be twice as tasty.
Here's the Yellow-Headed Blackbird again, along with a LBJ.
We learned something disturbing about the Blackbird today...he's RUDE!
Behold his Blackbird Burlesque Butt!
Oh, if only this window weren't here...
Happy Friday!
XX Sweet Pea (and Bibbles) XX
That's some special bird TV you have there.
ReplyDeleteIts one screen vs 13 cats, you just have to work together. Oh wait, there's 13 cats. What are we saying?
ReplyDeleteMMMMMMmmmmm--say, doesn't Bibbles get to go outside? Why can't she go on out there and, um, maybe *interview* one of them? Yep, that's the ticket--an up-close-and-furrsonal featurette, that culminates in a delicious meal, perhaps?
ReplyDeleteWas he telling you to kiss his butt? Was he? Was he?
ReplyDeleteOMC, I didn't know that birds did the back of disrespect!
ReplyDeleteHe might show me that bum one time, but it would be the last time!
ReplyDeleteGreat cat TV!
ReplyDeleteWindows (closed ones, that is) are a definite annoyance when it comes to bird appreciation for cats!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
Come over here buddies! My windows are always open!! :)

ReplyDeleteOh no! Mooned by a blackbird!
ReplyDeleteThe REAL Maple Syrup Mob

ReplyDeleteThose poor birdies Don't know what they're missing being left outside!!
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
That blackbird is quite handsome. Wonder if his yellow colour gives him extra flavour....
ReplyDeleteHow nice your daddy threw seeds out there to attract those delectable little morsels :)
ReplyDeleteJenna
Sheesh...windows make it so hard for us cats.
ReplyDeleteWow, kittehs! Your Bird TV is beyond excellent. Just think, if the window was open, you could have smell-o-vision!

ReplyDeleteIt's funny how much cats love boxes!
ReplyDeleteThey sure make the whiskers twitch!
ReplyDeleteBurlesque butt is just to funny!! You must have
ReplyDeleteR rated bird tv.
We love bird t.v.! Mom said she loves seeing the yellow-headed blackbird. We don't have those in Kentucky. It is a very pretty bird!
ReplyDeleteYour daddy is very thoughtful to throw seeds to the birds to fatten them up for you. That was very rude of the blackbird. Come and visit Sweet Pea. No window here between me and the birds.
ReplyDeleteMmmm slaver, salivate, slurp.
ReplyDeleteOh boy.. windows sure do get in the way of fun, don't they? Why wouldn't your pawrents open that window after they've gone to the trouble of luring the birdies for you to crunch?
ReplyDeleteThat nasty little dickins! He's totally shaking his booty at you! It's a full blown birdy nah-nah-naha-boo-boo! He deserves to be eated, and his fevvers played with afterwards!
ReplyDeleteWe thinks you get the best channel on your kitty television! They looks so yummy, MOL
ReplyDeleteSasha, Sami, & Saku
You get different birdies on your bird TV than we do....regional channels....*drool*
ReplyDeleteBirdies are tasty...if only that window would open up or disappear!
purrrs,
Cory
mol! being mooned by a blackbird :D Too bad windows have to be glass...couldn't folks take them out and just hang sheets of cellophane?
ReplyDeletePip, Smidgen, Minnie, Hollie
So we needz ta know what bird seed to use cuz our mom put up a bird feeder right by our window to ensure nommilicious Bird TV...and...NOTHING! *sighhh*
ReplyDeletehere's what I do...when the window is open, take your dainty little claw and carve a wee little opening in the screen. easy peasy! out for a delishus yellow-headed birdie treat, back in again for nappy-nap times. no fuss, no muss, no "puhleeeeeeze let me out/in/out/in/out/in..."
ReplyDeleteIt's fool-proo...what do you mean they don't open the windows...?
that's just not right.
Those do look like some tasty little morsels. But remember, if you were able to eat them, you'd have nothing to watch on long, boring, going nowhere days. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
ReplyDeleteWe are going to ask the Dad to try the seed thing. We have boring gray feathered things and need some better actors around here
