Friends and Kitties!
Sheebie here.
First off, Happy Father's Day to all the Dads and Pet Daddies out there!
Keep up the good work.
Here's a couple of handsome men for y'all:
My Dad, wearing his snazzy new "Universe" tie die shirt from this guy:
my Hubby!
Who is a pretty damn good human/cat Dad himself.
I love you guys!
KNEE NEWS: The knee is healing. I went online and researched how bone heals and it's fascinating! It follows a specific pattern, and can take up to five years to fully remodel a fracture. Mother Nature is truly amazing. Anyway, right now it's achy and tingly--right on schedule--I'm at nearly three weeks and the cellular latticework for the bone cells that lay down mineral bone is almost complete. I have X-rays Monday to assess how it's coming along, and my Doc said if he's satisfied with my progress I can start physio in another week.
I went back to work (light duty) on Friday. For liability reasons there was another employee working with me so all I had to do was sit and click a mouse. I am going crazypants not being able to simply move! Not to mention the mountain of workman's comp paperwork I've had to fill out--I'm never having an accident again--says Trinka the Klutz.
HOME NEWS: I think the other (final?) shoe has dropped in the home repair department, Thursday afternoon the electric garage door open caught on fire! Scott was inside the garage when it happened (thank heaven) and he unplugged it right away. *whew*
We discussed that there's nothing left to go wonky so we should be good to go...
PARK NEWS: Well, if I wasn't a total cripple I'd have tons of photos to show you, maybe even a video! Instead, you'll have to make do with me saying that it's the nicest park I've ever seen out here, bar none. I'd estimate work is about 85% done, but then again I thought that six months ago. And last week they carved out a bunch of new pathways for walking so who knows what might be next.
Now, I have to go whale on the sofa, doctor's orders.
Happy Sunday!
XX Sheebie XX
We think that ouchie knee must be getting really annoying by now!

Wow! Well, I almost got to be first AGAIN!! Sending all the human daddies and pet daddies out there a happy Father's day. And sending healing cellular messages to your bones Trish - hum, it's good for your bones :-) T.
ReplyDeleteGod I hate breaking bones! The wrist is STILL healing, I can only imagine what a knee would be like.
ReplyDeleteTrust a chemist to detail all the descriptions about healing bones... I hope you are eating loads of protein to help. And stimulation from catupuncture surely will aid healing.
ReplyDeleteTake it easy, and don't get too mad in the meantime :)
Happy Father's Day to the male humans! I'm glad you knee seems to be healing the way it should.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know garage doors could catch fire! That is really scary since I hear ours open and shut all the time during the day - and I don't think the humans know how to unplug it!
Katie would like to apply for your job. She thinks that sitting and clicking mice sounds like a perfect fit for her. ; )
ReplyDeleteSo glad the knee is on the mend...5 years though! Yikey!!!
Happy Fathers Day to all your special men!
xo
We have "Daddy" day on another date, but I personally think that it is "Daddy" day every day ! :) !
ReplyDeleteSo glad your knee is mending beautifully.
ReplyDeleteHappy Father's Day! Purrs!
Happy Father's Day to the Cat Daddy. We hope he has a great day. So happy to hear you are mending now. It's frustrating when you can't do all the things you'd like to do.
ReplyDeleteWe're glad you are healing. We had no idea - 5 years??
ReplyDeleteHappy Father's Day to all fathers out there--human and critter!
ReplyDeleteFive years, really? That's amazing. Light duty is frustrating, but give yourself time to heal before you go tripping over anything else.
ReplyDeleteHappy Father's Day!
Glad you are doing well. Sorry about the garage door! Happy Father's Day to the dads!
ReplyDeleteFive years... Egads.
ReplyDeletePurring for a speedy recovery for your knee. We gotta get one of those T's for our dad. Happy fathers Day to your Dads.
ReplyDeletecats of wildcat woods
Yup, those are two good dads. So Happy Father's day to both of them.
ReplyDeleteGlad the knee is following the instructions on how it is supposed to heal and is coming right along. It must be hard though to not be able to do anything. I would be crazy pants. Take care.
Happy Father's Day to Dad and Scott!! Glad you are on the mend! Holy Cod it caught on fire!! Can't wait for the park (in the Fall).
ReplyDeleteSome pretty cool dads there! But Dad #1 needs to work on those pasty legs...heh heh.
ReplyDeleteDidn't I read something about bones healing at the same ultrasonic vibration or some such thing as a cat purrs? Therefore pile the cats on the knee and you'll be good to go in a week!
Glad you're healing nicely and on schedlule. Wish mine was doing as well. Happy Father's Day to your Dad and Scott!
ReplyDeleteHappy Father's Day to the great Daddys!
ReplyDeleteGlad your knee is healing up and you're able to go back to work a bit. Yikes on the garage door opener but thank Cod Scott saw it!
Glad you are right on schedule with your healing. Back to work is great as well. It can sure get boring at home when you are used to working. Happy Dad's Day to your husband and your dad. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
ReplyDeleteHappy Father's Day to Scott and to your dad too.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your thoughtful note about Simba. It means a lot.
I'm glad to hear your knee is mending. I hope it continues.
Happy Father's Day to Scott and to your dad as well! They look very spiffy in their tie-dye.
ReplyDeleteI tore my MCL several years ago, and it still twinges every once in awhile. I can't imagine dealing with a fracture! Hope the x-rays show you're healing quickly.
Have a great day!
Happy Father's Day to the men of the house!! Tommy's had a couple friends who went thru knee stuff--hang in there, everything will be all OK--you've got some doctors and nurses under roof to be sure of that!
ReplyDeleteNoir
Happy Father's Day to your Dad and Kitty/Hubby Dad :)
ReplyDeleteWe purr the knee keeps getting better and the home behaves itself ;)
Snuggle with the kitties!
Purrs Tillie and Georgia,
Treasure,Tiger,JJ and Julie
I am glad your knee is healing well. You are right about the bone remodeling. I have plates and screws in my leg and the surgeon said that as the bone heals it would grow around the plates over the years. I think it must have as I rarely set off security scanners any more. It's a bit creepy really!
ReplyDeleteAustin says that eating a mouse is better than clicking! Just saying! Glad things are healing to plan.
ReplyDeleteYou let those bones knit themselves together. Be careful out there.
ReplyDeleteWe love those guys in their tied-dye! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd we're glad your knee is getting better. We want it to be good to go for BlogPaws next year! :)
So glad you're healing so well, but five years!!! Geez, you can grow a tree in five years! And happy daddy day to Scott.
ReplyDeleteHappy cat dad day! Looks like you are lucky to have two! Glad the knee is mending but send more purrrrs anyhoo.

Happy Dad's Day to the tie-dye twins! And good knee news too! Glad to hear things are perking along in the desert ;-) XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteHope the tie-dye dudes day was dapper ;) !
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear things are on the mend only. ... only. 4 year 10 months left to perfection did you say. ???
Happy belated Father's Day!
ReplyDeleteI keep on sending purrs for the knee to take less than 5 years to heal =^.^=
Glad that the knee is getting at least somewhat better!
ReplyDeleteThose are some good lookin' Dads!
Hope you had a great Father's Day!
Men who love cats are so special, but when they also wear tiedyed shirts they are nearly perfect! I love the Universe shirt. But I really wanted to say that I hope your knee heals very soon.
