Friends and Kitties!
Sheebie here.
I've been wrestling with my word--Content--this week. I don't know if it's the full moon or what, but my mood lately has been the antithesis of contentment, complete with terrible sweaty dreams for the past three nights.
Unsettling.
Perhaps it's just post-vacation letdown, maybe it's the fact I'm tapering off the prozac. In any case, I'm not feeling very prolix today. Hence, just a couple of phone photos taken at work last week:
Since our winter was nonexistent so mild, and we had two lovely drenching rains in December the desert wildflowers are starting to bloom like gangbusters. I'm not sure what these particular plants are called, but they're showing their cheerful yellow faces everywhere and they are the first flowers blooming each year. In a week or two the whole desert will be yellow!
I saw Spring's first customers too; see Miss Bee? (Sorry about the blurriness, it was windy!) She and her sisters were too busy gathering nectar and pollen to pay any attention to me, barging around the flowers. There must be quite a hive somewhere near the property because we always have plenty of bees around. I like to watch them, totally absorbed in their work. It must be nice, to have one purpose and be wonderfully crafted to do it so well.
Something I'll bear in mind this week.
Happy Sunday!
