Happy Memorial Day, Kitties!
Today is the day we honor the brave soldiers, sailors, airmen, and other selfless People who gave their lives to gain and preserve our freedom.
Kitties, did you know that Cats were right there, fighting alongside these courageous People? We were!

Awww thanks for the links. I have a lovely book called "Animals at War" by Jilly Cooper and some amazing pics and stories of all animals (feathered, furry, equine, piggies!) who were involved during WW1 and WW2 (mainly UK). So these links are a great addition for me. thank you.

ReplyDeleteCool. We'll have to check out the links. To Au and Target -- Memorial Day honors all people (and animals) who died in their nation's service, no matter what war. I think it became an official holiday in 1868 but was unofficially celebrated before then. It was originally called Decoration Day, when the graves were decorated in remembrance.
