Of Felines and Flatulence

Kitties!

Johnny here, with a funny story.

We found out that Sweet Pea likes sweet Potatoes!

A lot!

A WHOLE lot!

We call 'em "Sweet Pea-tatoes" now.

So here's the story:
Mommy goes to bed and reads every night, and we all pile in with her, usually five or six of us.  She lays with her knees bent, and Sweet Pea likes to go under the covers and camp out in the "knee-bow" tent.

We were all snuggled in, when we heard a hissing noise, Ssssssssssssss!

And a Terrible Smell filled the room!

Maui covered his nose.

Rupert passed out.

Salem got up and left!

The Smell was coming from beneath the covers...Sweet Pea's whiskers were twitching up a storm, tickling Mommy's ankles...kitties, do you think the sweet pea-tatoes were responsible?

They WERE!

But not from Sweet Pea!

The Smell was from Mommy!

Mommy lifted the covers and Sweet Pea shot out like a cannonball.
We'll see if The Pea goes under the covers tonight...

Bwahahahahahaha!

Have a Fabulous Friday!

XX  Johnny

  1. hahahahahahahahaha! A certain male human who shall remain nameless runs around and becomes what he calls a "one man band" when he has that problem, complete with trombone and tuba!

  3. Um, since we kitties don't digest sweet potatoes very well we wonder (with only full respect fer Sweet Pea), mebbe Sweet Pea was the cause of the unnerblanket smells...

We mean, we sometimes sleep unner the blankies wif TBT here and sometimes we run out. An sometimes the smells smell like our dinner an sometimes not. Iffen TBT eats a steak an we get chicken, and the unnerblankie smells are like chicken, well ya can guess who is at fault.

So it could be either way. Just sayin...

  8. Sweet Pea, that is pretty interesting that you like sweet potatoes. I think the jury is still out as to who was tooting under the blankets!

  9. We don't mind toots. Mom hates when we make the apartment stinky with poops. We live in a very small place with 2 litterboxes, so if we go, Mom has to get it fast and open all the windows quick.

  24. Hehehe - this is very funny. Did the gases glow ? Were there bright lights like we have here in Finland ? Because I want to be in the nice warm house with a lovely bowl of food later, I dare not reveal what happens in my home on the human side, but none of us felines eats sweet potatoes or yucky vegetables and we do still manage a full range of smells.

  31. LOL! Well, at first I thought for sure it was from Sweet Pea. Lucy is a gassy lady quite a lot. One time the vet was giving her an examination, feeling her tummy, etc. The vet said everything was fine except for all the gas she could feel.

I love that Sweet Pea loves sweet potatoes!

  43. Hi, Miss Sweet Pea, I hope you don't mind if I share my own poot story with you a few days late. Many years ago, not too long after I had moved in with my mom, some guy moved in with her. One day, he was back in the bedroom playing Nintendo and my mom was in the living room watching tv when I SHOT out of the bedroom, yelling my furry head off. My mom said 'little Fuzzy girl, what is wrong?! What are you so upset about?? Carl, what did you do to her??'. Well, he started dying laughing, and when he was finally able to speak, he told her that he accidentally tooted, but since she was in the living room, he thought it was safe. He didn't realize I was going to be so offended!!!

    It was gross.

    Your friend, Fuzzy
