Kitties!
The Baby here.
I love the Dryer.
Something TERRIBLE happened last week, the dryer started making a strange noise!
It went something like this:
hummmmmmmmmm
hummmmmmmmm
KER-FLUMPH
BUMP
BUMP
HUMMMMMMMMMM
hummmmmmm
This meant that Mommy hasn't run MY Dryer since Saturday. I've been bereft of my hot, rumbly sleeping-aid appliance.
So today a repairman came. He determined what the problem was (a faulty drum roller) and said he could fix it, easy. But...he would have to order the part.
OH NOOOOO!
My Dryer was going to stay cold and silent.
But wait...Mister Repairman said it was OK to run the Dryer, as long as it was a full load to add weight on the drum...HURRAH!!!!
After Mister Repairman left, Mommy got busy.
She did three glorious loads of laundry!
And I inspected each one thoroughly.
You can't seeee meeeee!
Here I am...
Peek-a-Boo!
I had a HUGE bath and a long nap this afternoon, snoring away on my wonderful, wonderful Dryer.
Happy Thursday!

pee ess: we'll be back to commenting on Sunday...gol-danged silly Mommy work schedule...
Hello Sweet Baby!
ReplyDeleteWe are glad that dryer is back operational!!
And, gosh, you do look stunning after a bath! :)
Love, Lucky & Co
Clean warm laundry. ....... Wow. This is pure heaven. You are so lucky. We are banned from that stuff due to fur transmission. JEALOUS.
ReplyDeleteWe're so glad Mr. Repairman said it was okay to run your dryer again. Nothing better than a bath on nice, warm laundry!
ReplyDeleteNow that is really handy - a clothes dryer that does double duty as a cat warmer...I'll bet the latter wasn't on the list of advertised features!
ReplyDeleteWe heard diamonds were a girls best friend but obviously DRYERS are a girls best friend.
ReplyDeleteBaby, for a moment we thought perhaps the bump bump bump was YOU having crawled inside the dryer. How nice to have an excuse to do many full loads of laundry!
ReplyDeleteWe think dey need to advertise dat feature when da drier haf a nice big top...also makes a great kitty warmer/bed! It's good dat yoo can haf yoor kitty heater running.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that your dryer is working. There is nothing better to crawl through than fresh towels.
ReplyDeleteLove the first pic-sher of you, The Baby! What a relief your dryer was still usable. We are feeling very deprived here...our cheapo mom doesn't use or even have our clothes dryer hooked up! It may be time to pack our kitty bags...
ReplyDeletePip, Smidgen, Minnie, and Hollie
You are so lucky, TB! We don't get to partake of fun laundry stuff, because our washer and dryer are in the garage, where we are not allowed. BTW, our washer and dryer are bright crimson red!
ReplyDeleteBaby Baby ( I love your name ), That's lucky ! to able to use the dryer !
ReplyDeleteAnd after you inspected each one thoroughly, I guess your mom will be happy with your wonderful jobs. She will know straight away after she used those towel. Extra Fur for her skin or lip : )
Oh Baby, I totally agree with you!
ReplyDelete*** I think you are doing such a great job there inspecting mommy's work!
Luna
Beautiful and wondrous The Baby!! Me and Charlie are so glad your dryer is up and running!! Yes you must encourage mum to tumble dry loads and loads so you'll never be bereft ever again!! Yay!
ReplyDeleteTake care
x
Oh how nice! Yoo got yoor bed on the dryer ~ awesome!
ReplyDeleteOur dryer is on the fritz too ~ but hubby fixed it. Because who would want to go back to hanging clothes outside on a clothes line ~ that's no way to keep kitties warm! :)
ReplyDeletexo Catherine
Warm clean clothes are the best! We're glad you got your dryer back, Baby!
ReplyDeletePhew! When we read about the noise the dryer was making, we had a moment of real, SERIOUS panic! I love warm dryers too and # is always worried I will sneak inside when she is loading it...
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Bibi-Chan
I was almost afraid to read this post. Glad there was nothing or no-one inside. Things happen. ANyway, enjoy the warmth and hmmmmmm of your friend, the dryer.
ReplyDeletehugs,Deb=^..^=x5
Oh Gosh, The Baby! That was almost a disaster!!! WHEW!!!
ReplyDeletexox
Oh Baby thank cod you got your nice warm dryer back to keep you nice and warm. That is so important. Hope all of you have a super day.
ReplyDeleteYou know Baby...to me dryers mean clean clothing and towels and stuff. I prefer the dirty stuff. I know...that's just who I am.
ReplyDeletemy husband just got a new car and it is the same color as your washer and dryer! I love it!! Those are so sharp looking!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you will at least be able to use it!
So happy you has your dryer up and running again. I can only dream abuot how toasty warm it must be in dat room for you.
ReplyDeletediego-san loves to disconnect the steam/lint blower thing leading from inside the house to the dryer so everytime i use our dryer i have to make sure the connection is secure. that's the extent of my dryer repair ability.
ReplyDeleteOH MY CATS horror of horrors to have the dryer out of commission...mom would have freaked out...
ReplyDeleteThe last time ours died she had a load of towels in the washing machine...had to take them to the laundromat in the middle of the hottest July on record and the laundromat did not have air conditioning. She said she'd throw out the wet laundry before she ever go to a laundromat again.MOL
Madi
Oh Bac' loves a nice dryer too! I'm glad you got your favorite appliance to work again! Yay!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness you can sleep again Baby - you must have missed it's rumbly sound and gentle rocking.
ReplyDeleteBaby, you are such a gorgeous gal....and we're so happy to hear the dryer can be run so you can sleep again, sweetie. We loved the pix!!!!!!!! And we love ALL of you.
ReplyDeleteWe're so glad you got your dryer back. We understand how impawtant such things are.
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to have such a good repairman that can fix up your special place!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great place you've picked out as your own The Baby! We hope you mom isn't as lazy as ours because it only runs about once a week!
ReplyDeleteoh that sucks but glad your mom can still run it for you!
ReplyDeleteWe don't like the sounds of the dryer much, but we do love the nice warm towels that come out!!
ReplyDeleteOh Baby!! When we started reading, we were very very concerned that you would not have your warm dryer to sleep on. Y'know, we like laying on the dryer too...almost as much as we like laying on the stove when the oven is on!! Now you need to keep dirtying up lots of clothes and stuff so your mom hasta do the laundry and has a big enough load to run the dryer for you!!
ReplyDeleteOMG I have such dryer (and washer) envy!!! When we moved to this house, every single appliance had to be replaced and we haven't reached the W/D yet...they are ancient and U-G-L-Y but because they are out of sight in the basement we concentrated on the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that Baby's warm bed is working again :-)
What is a dryer?? We don't have one of those. Mom hangs clothes out to dry. If it is cold out (and it is!), she hangs them inside near the heat. We can't imagine having a warm, shaking thing to sleep on...can you explain what it is like? You sound really lucky...and we sound unlucky. Some cats just have it all!! We're glad you do!! Purrs, Lautrec, Tiny and Ellwood the dog
ReplyDeleteHey Baby! You are braver than us. We sniff at the dryer now and then, but we stay away for the most part. Curse, if Meowm didn't have stuff piled on it, we might check it out more.
ReplyDeleteYou have a nice spot to stay warm, Baby. Our people don't let us anywhere near the dryer, even on top!
ReplyDeleteWe are glad you have your lovely warm dryer working again The Baby. Make sure your mum keeps doing lots of laundry for you.
ReplyDeleteBaby
ReplyDeleteWe are so glad that you didn't have to wait another week to have your nice warm dryer. *whew* We are sure your Mom was glad to ... to be able to still use the dryer. Even though MOm has a clothesline outside she still basically uses that dryer nearly every time to dry their clothes.
*kitty kisses to my sweet Sylvester*

ReplyDeleteThanks for the birthday wishes!!!
WOW!! That was a rotten thing to happen to your dryer! Good thing your Mom can use it...you need your heat ;) heehee
Guess you will have to dirty up clothes so she can run the dryer every day!!! hahaha
Purrs Mickey,Georgia & Tillie
Poor The Baby! We are glad you gets to has your warms back. We saw you in the laundry!
ReplyDeleteWe loves your mommy's rain in the desert picshurs too!
Thank goodness, Baby! My sisters are so weird they only sleep on the dryer when it's summer. And Russell just tries to get into it every time the door is open. (He tries to get into the washer, too.)
ReplyDeleteBaby--I think you got the best seat in the house! Peek-a-boo, I DO see you!! If our dryer didn't work, I hate to think what Tommy would do...you'd hear scream all the way to your catico! :)
ReplyDeleteNoir
Tell, you Mommy THANKS for like the cards. Hang them and frame them? Wow--you made Tommy's night! Thank YOU!
Yoko used to sleep on dryer before this house but no one has found this one. It is a great spot to nap on and hide in the laundry - just don't go in the drier!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that your dryer isn't working properly - I hope it's back to normal soon!
ReplyDeleteTotally unrelated... We found the best Werd Verification Werd for you. Wait til you read it... MOL!
ReplyDeleteOK, theese shows that crazy character I was referrin' to...Great sleeping spot "The Baby"!
