Sandy Saturday

Kitties!

Rupert here.

Have you ever wondered about our LARGE litterboxpools?  Like, are they big enough to keep the sand inside where it belongs?

Allow me to demonstrate!


First I gotta pick the right spot.  This involves intensive searching, sniffing, and preliminary scratching around.


Ahhh, how do you spell relief?
P-E-E-I-N-G!


Time to cover.  

biggify to see the sand!

And let the sand fly.   
Cleanup in aisle Number One!

    Our mom sez dat da only way a kitty couldn't kick sand outta da litter box is if it was a beach...we don't know what a beach is.

    That is a great litter box! When I was a kid, we had a lot of problems in the neighborhood with cats using people's sandboxes as litter boxes. I didn't have cats then so it didn't make sense, but I get it now!

    Magnificent! We love your Olympic sized litter boxes and are very jealous. We are squeezed up in little tiny boxes and you just cannot do the kicking thing with so much relish as you clearly display.

    Now, we have a question: how often is the bottom of that pool scrubbed? There must be about 30kg of litter in there.

    haha, let the sand fly indeed! My mom got super grouchy with me last night when I kicked litter all over the place just a few minutes after she vacuumed. That'll learn her to make so much noise.

    RUpert, this is brilliant!! We have three litterboxes in our basement and litter gets everywhere. But this would be a fantastic solution to our problem. I must show my husband!! Great idea.

    Haha ~ that makes a perfect kitty litter box! Banjo has a great big Rubbermaid Storage Tub with a hole cut into one side. He can kick up the sand to his hearts content!

    Can you imagine all you kitties or my big boy in a 'normal' sized kitty litter pan??? I don't think so! :)

    We love your large litter box and it's just right for all of you. We have a brick one at the bottom of the garden filled with sand built for the kitties "who came before". Hannah will not put one toe in it so we also have litter boxes inside (we can hear mum sighing now!!). The outside one mum rakes over once or twice a day and picks out the poop (Lucy's)and flushes away. The rain always keeps the sand fresh and pong free! (so not too good in the desert!!)

    I think there are a lot of us who would appreciate having a litterboxpool of our own. My humans put my regular boxes inside a bigger cardboard box, and that helps to contain some of the scatter, but not all.

    I was wondering... Why do you write Katnip Lounge with a 'K' instead of a 'C'? I know that 'Kat' is the Dutch (and Danish) word for 'cat'. Are you originally from one of these countries?

    That is a great idea for a litterbox! We have some very large fuzzies in our household so that would be the perfect size. Now we just need to figure out where to get one of those.

    We have allus admired that huge litter pan! Those high sides allow fer some serious kicking. With the 4 inside reglar ones, TBT has to sweep the area evry day when he cleans them out.
