CC has a Message!

Kitties!

CC here, with some Important News!

Mommy is old.
No, that's not the news.

What IS the news is that Mommy is incredibly moronic and tried to move a full dresser all by herself.
Naturally, she strained her back.  This is where the "Old" thingy factors in.  Mommy has been moaning and groaning and cripping around, clutching her hiney.
This is pretty worrysome.

Will she still be able to scrub my tummy?
I love having my tummy scrubbed at night, I start herding Mommy towards the bedroom every evening as soon as it gets dark.

Mommy, please feel better soon!
Your Little Sea Monster needs you.

From Mommy:  Boy, is getting older a pain...literally.  I'm on the mend, but I'm very thankful for the pain pills left over from my surgery earlier this year.  Our commenting is going to be curtailed for the next little bit as I do best flat on my back and it's hard to type; I do have several concerned parties to nurse me along at all times.  That, or they enjoy the heating pad.  Don't fret, we'll still be posting and I have a new Georgette Heyer Regency downloaded on my Kindle.
And CC, you know nothing would keep me from your nightly tummy scrubbins, sweet boy!

  1. Why did your human try to move a FULL dresser?! Why did she not take the drawers out first? This is a double-edged solution:

    1. Dresser is lighter, hence easier to move.
    2. Kitties can have fun in drawers while dresser is being moved.

So have your human heed my wise words in the future. In the meantime, I am glad she is on the mend, and maybe I will toss in a few purrs to help her along!

  2. Your Human is damaged? Oh poor CC! But it sounds like you're good on the tummy-rubbins front.

But...but...who will FEED you? Will your Daddeh remember?? Oh dear. I hope so!

  3. Silly mommeh. Sounds like mine! We hope she feels better soon.

Oh, and mine says yes, aging is for the birds. And, 4 ibuprofens (equals prescription strength) are good too. :-)

  4. CC, I hope your mommy's back feels better soon. Life without tummy scrubbings just would not be worth living, would it? But please tell your mommy that if she doesn't come visit me soon, I'm going to think she doesn't love me anymore. I miss her... =^..^==

  8. So sorry you hurt your back. Mom Paula suggests you try ice on your strained back instead of heat. She's been told that if there is inflammation, that heat will make it worse.

  11. Yowweee. No fun!! Kitties, you all need to be on extra purr-duty to get the healing energies fully activated! With so many kitties, surely you can find one to help you move the furniture!

I know the back pain feeling, I'm still recovering from a herniated disc that occurred several months ago. I'll be happy to lose the persistent leg numbness! Hang in there! And a little excruciating back pain is no excuse for neglecting those important tummies.

  12. Oh good gracious, silly mommy! Sorry to hear that she's injured and I hope her back heals up quickly! The kind of injuries where you're not allowed to move are no fun at all.

  15. May we volunteer the services of Osteocat Mirsku. If you let him walk over your back, the bone cracking massage that he will give should fix you in no time. Alternatively the ninja catupuncturists Jaava and Jura can insert thousands of tiny needles with excellent analgesic effects. Failing that we are sure there are plenty of feline heating pads around.... . We hope you get well soon!

  16. Oh no! We are sending your mum some big rumbly smoochy purrs and hope she feels back to normal very soon. At least your mum has a good war story. You should have heard our mum's whining the day after she weeded the grass. Yep, she was sore from weeding. How embarassing.

  48. I share your pain. I fell on the ice last Dec. God bless the man who invented Vicodin. And good friends who can't take it and give you theirs. And a monthly massage.

Get some of those silicon Moving Men sliding things. They're awesome. You could have moved the dresser with one hand. Really. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
