Kitties!
We've had all kinds of excitement out on the Catio.
Daddy moved the Lotus cat tree outdoors for something "new" for us.
We like it!
He also moved the Hummerbird feeder up by the Catio.
As you can see, we like that too!
The Hummers come in about 5947384 times a day to fuel their evil little engines and wet their foul little whistles.
They are fearless!
Daddy can stand there all day, photographing them.
Mister Pidgee hangs around and The Baby talks to him a lot, trying to convince him of her bad intent hospitality
*eck eck eck eck eck*
Nyah Nyah!
The Hummer took a break from torturing us and rested in the Lime Lemon tree.
Do you see him?
The lemons are ripe, they are BIG and juicy.
Not that WE would eat a lemon...
...but the lady wearing the baggy-bottomed pants does!
Styling. Mommy's middle name.
Mommy had never picked fruit off a tree before. You can see she really got into it.
She and Daddy picked a big bowlful of lemons, with more to come!
Oh, and a shadow. THIS is why Daddy shoots most of the photos at our house.
ahem.
So that's the news from our house...have any of your Pawrents gone out on a limb lately?
Happy Thursday!

They are most excellent photos of the Evil Hummer Bird. We know that your Daddy's camera is not good enough to take the uberfast shots of you swatting him from behind, hehehehe. And go easy on the style for your Ma - our Äiti could compete totally with her. Except for in picking lemons as they don't grow here - they'd be frozen and we hear sorbets don't come on trees......
ReplyDeleteBut we like the idea of moving cat trees around - if she doesn't do it for us we will do it ourselves. Happy Thursday guys.
Those are great pictures of the hummingbird! Your dad has much talent. And your captions are, as always, hilarious. I LOLd at "eck eck eck."
ReplyDeleteDoes mom or dad cook? Maybe they can make a little lime, er, lemon sauce for when you catch one of those derelict birds.
ReplyDeleteAt least your human dresses appropriately for fruit picking! I can just picture mine in one of her all-black outfits and black rocker boots, tripping all over herself trying to wrestle anything off a tree! It would give the neighbors something to laugh about for a whole season.
ReplyDeleteI don't like hummingbirds. I get the feeling that mean-spirited birds like them are tough and tasteless.
Obviously, if Frank Lloyd Wright lived today, he would design cat trees...
ReplyDeleteNo going out on a limb around here but if we had a beautiful lemon tree like that Mumsy would sure go out on one. You kitties have it made in your catio...so nice! We saw that little hummer in the lemon tree. Mumsy says she loves lemon pie and she bets those lemons would sure bake up a good one. Hugs and nose kisses
ReplyDeleteWe think you guys have amazingly awesome cat trees and we are jealous! Now we know what to ask mummy for for Christmas....
ReplyDeleteWow! Jonesie is super impressed with those beautiful lemons! We can't grow those here.
ReplyDeleteI just wish the publicist would GIVE me a limb to chew on.
ReplyDeleteLove love love all your cat trees and runs and all the fun stuff!
ReplyDeleteThose lemons look yummy, someone needs to defend them against those evil hummers!
Oh wow! That looks so excellent!
ReplyDeleteWow, that was alot of excitement on the catio! That was a skeery moment when your Mom was picking lemons. All of our hummers haf left fur the season. Say "hi" to them fur us. *evil laff*
ReplyDeleteWut is ur Mom going to do with so many lemonz? They're a little awkward, but they might serve as emergency cat toiz. Otherwise, pfft!
ReplyDeleteHi Salem way up high and The Baby way down low!
Great photos of those bird and love those lemons. Have fun today kitties. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun!!!
ReplyDeleteLemons harvesting? Your mom sure looks like a PRO! :)
Our mom has serious camera envy. Those hummingbird shots are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteSo...Those lemons would go great with oh, gin or vodka or something. Sangria?
Hey, at least your mom doesn't run around in long johns.....
We love the Lotus Tree, and it looks good on the Catio! We also love the Catio!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday..

ReplyDeletepee-ess - you guys are crazypants, your comment on our room name made us laugh so hard!
i don't know much but i do know that when someone hands you a bowl of lemons you are supposed to make lemonade out of them.
ReplyDeleteWe are very jealous of your cat tree - Mum says she's gone deaf!!
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

ReplyDeleteLove to y'all.
Awwwwwwwwww! You have the best mum and dad Kitties of Katnip Lounge!! The hummers are adorable! Yay! Great pics! Me and Charlie love how the Baby is chatting to Mr Pigeon! Hope she got tons of gossip! Yay!

what an adventure....we hope that pigeon accepts Baby's invitation. :) Oh - and we got a text from Miss Kelly last night to send her a link to your blog so another friend could see your catio!!
ReplyDeleteWe are so jealous--our mom loves hummingbirds but is lucky to see one per year here. And lemons, wow, that's so cool.
ReplyDeleteThose are some mighty fine lemons. Your hooomans should be very proud of them. We love your cat tree out there on the catio. The hummingbirds are great too. Bet the cats do love to watch them. Take care.
ReplyDeleteMom is so JEALOUS that you still have hummers...they have flown the coup here.
ReplyDeleteHoley Moley what time does your lemonade stand open?
Hugs Madi
YOu kitties have the best mommy and daddy! And you have the best Birdie and Lizard TV in the world. And Mom is jealous about the lemons cause the ones she is buying in the store are 1/3 rotten she sees, when she gets them home and cuts one open. They come from out of the Country.
ReplyDeleteThe baggy behind is quite the in thing round our way!
ReplyDeleteLiving in a cold wet and non equatorial part of the world those hummers and lemons look very exotic !
Looks like cat heaven at your house. Love the catio with all of the cat trees and stuff for your sweet kitties.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of The Baby telling that pigeon what for!
ReplyDeleteLemons and hummers in December? You kitties have it made! Our human is a real stylish dresser, too. We luf her just the same...
ReplyDeleteWe never knew about birds with evil little engines. We want them to visit us so we can see for ourselves! But Mum says it won't be till the spring. You are so lucky!
ReplyDeleteMom wishes she could grow lemons here in Dixie. Our hummers have gone for the Winter. You fur babies sure have a nice Mom and Dad.
ReplyDeletexoxo Kassey
Y'all always have something exciting going on!
ReplyDeleteWhen they lived in Catifornia for 2 years after college they had a couple orange trees. Mom & dad picked fruit then but a lot of it would fall to the ground and some cute possums would come to eat it after dark! Dad got pictures of them but that was long ago. They didn't have cats then, just the neighbors cat Tiger who would sleep over sometimes on their waterbed.
ReplyDeleteSeeing those lemons made our mom very happy. She goes out on a limb (literally)everyday with our antics. And your catio is meowvelous. Good to mix it up.
ReplyDeleteThat Hummer feeder is so cool! What sweet little birds... It's always good to mix things up for something 'new' isn't it?! I love your catio!
ReplyDelete=^..^=
Those birds have some cheek! We're jealous of those lemons. They look purrfect for lemon and rum punch. Be sure to get extra treats when the servants are squiffy!
ReplyDeleteOut on a limb... I'll say!
ReplyDeleteWe love your catio! And one day we just know The Baby is gonna get Mister Pidgee.
ReplyDeleteWOW, you got LOTS of excitement out on the catio! Those hummers are amazing!!! And SO hard to photograph! Kudos to your dad the photographer!
ReplyDeletexo Katie & Glogirly
You kitties sure have a good daddy setting things up for all your kitty entertainment. Very fun to sit and watch the birds all day!
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm...I bet those fresh lemons taste good!
xo Catherine
fresh lemons! Yum! eat them right up. In the action photo of you perched precariously on the wall picking lemons it appears you are picking lemons from your neighbor's lemon tree. Please tell me you are not stealing lemons again?!
ReplyDeleteFresh lemons off yoor own tree ~ it doesn't get better than that. And the birdie pics are AWESOME! xx
ReplyDeleteWhat do your pawrents plan to do with all those big juicy lemons? And what is that they feed the hummers?
ReplyDeleteWow, beautiful hummer shots! And I want my own lemon tree. Jealous!
