Kitties!
We learn so much from all of you; in fact, yesterday we learned a fabulous new word from Nitro over at the Meowers from Missouri: Wallerin'.
Here is their definition:
Wallerin' is handlin' a kitteh by floppin' him around on yer lap or a chair or bed, rollin' him ofur an' curlin' him into a ball, makin' him "exercise" by holdin' his legs in his legpits an' wavin' 'em, makin' him bite his tail, holdin' him downside up, etc etc etc. that is to say, generally tormentin' him in a nice way.

Goodness Gracious! That bottoms up picture had Mom in stitches! There's a whole lot of wallering that goes on in this house but we're making sure NONE of the pictures get on the blog.

There is so much that is wrong about this in so many ways. Where to begin ? let us just say that it is obvious that two humans are needed for those shots and Äiti is really bad with the self-timer. We think we are safe from this World War Wallerin' stuff. We darn well better be. I'm not going bottoms up for anyone!

Whoa! The mom will snorgle us, sometimes with teeth, and she does the dirty eye manoeuvre, but if she ever tries the bottoms up, we might have to damage her. Permanently.

ReplyDeleteWe've been wallered and never even knew it! Dad often turns us upside down and gives us tummy rubs at the same time. Mum used to do it to me, Flynn first and calls it chumbering because one of the silly names she calls me is Chumba Wumba. Now she wants to practice different wallering moves on us.

Oh yes..wallerin' is a good Southern term. Mommy has wallered us many a time. cat rollin' is a fave. (not purrsonally though).

ReplyDeleteoh, boy! what a fur-storm we created wif a post that was only red by 7 cats to begin wif! we're hopin' not too many noticed you sed you gotted it frum us, so we don't start gettin' hate-mail. those were some stellar pictures; yer picture-taker must not laff as hard as ours! we laffed hardest at "bottoms us" acause maui looks so much like xing, an' we just got so tickled imaginin' whut would go on if ennyone tried it wif HER!
