Disaster!!!

Kitties!

Tiny Johnson here, reporting on the interesting doings at Casa de Crazypants!

Friday evening the peeps were experiencing technical difficulties...the router died and they were frantic to replace and reconnect it...finally, after a phone call to the cable company (who were extremely helpful in troubleshooting the problem), a trip to Wally World, several plugging/unplugging/replugging of cards and devices, reboots, and all kinds of unpleasant "banter" they were successful--back to sucking off the internet teat.

Of course the situation was all highly entertaining for us.

In the interest of truthful reporting it must be stated that Mommy got her laptop connected first and she had to read the instructions.  For her and Daddy.
We know who's the I.T. tech around here...

ANYWAY, it was all very exhausting, so here's a gratuitous kitteh photo of me:

mmmmmmmm...Daddy's shoes smell like Valerian root.
Stinky.

Happy Caturday!

Pee Ess:  We want to tell you that (against our will) Mommy has cut way back on our commenting...some lame-o excuse about time constraints, blah blah blah.  We're sorry if you miss our witticisms!  We're trying to make the rounds two or three days a week--we still lurk and read every day.  Sometimes the lack of thumbs is a real bummer.

  1. Withdrawal iz very hard for our beans Tiny (at least that is what our mom says - what do we know?)

  2. I can certainly understand why you'd be exhausted after such an ordeal. At my house, I have very poor IT support. Very poor, indeed... purrs

  3. Sorry to hear your commenting privileges have been revoked. (snort!) We'll see how long that lasts. HaHaMeow! Have a great Caturday, anyways.

Pee Ess - glad you got hooked back up to the innernets. XOXOXO

  4. My Human said last January 1 that we could test drive a year of posting and commenting every day. Well, since it's November 16 as I dictate this, she has agreed that we are too close to the end now to back out. But she is finding that between the posting and the commenting that she is spending like 2 (?) hours or more every evening on my blog. Now I think that's a FINE amount of time to be devoted to such an important activity, but she tells me that maybe after we do our year, things are going to change around here. I of course have certain weapons at my disposal, but I really don't know if this is a battle I am going to win.

    Sigh.

  7. Hey our innerwebs went down on Friday night too! Only our Friday night isn't your Friday night but maybe there is a westwards moving conspiracy.
We are having to ensure Äiti does her commenting properly too and are not happy as our witticisms are far too important to miss.
And as for your Mom's recent comments on my blog - I am still seeking therapy over the suggestion I fit into a SMALL postal box - it definitely says medium on the side. And is Pekka intelligent - oh yes indeedy. Not quite as gifted as me, but he's pretty darn smart when it comes to playing sneaky tricks. Äiti thinks Mirsku and Ruska are in fact the most strategic, but remember she doesn't know who actually tracked and caught the squirrel!

  8. Oh I totally understand! I totally flip out when something goes wrong with the internet! Glad they got it back on!
I also totally understand about the commenting thing... I could spend the whole day commenting if I wanted! There's just so many! Sometimes you just gotta do a few and do the best you can. I totally agree with that Blogging With Out Obligation thingie!

  9. When internet problems happen here, my human picks up her laptop and leaves! She goes somewhere else that does have internet until the problem gets fixed. Actually, I kind of like it - I get a little peace when she is gone.

  10. We are so glad you managed to get the interwebby back up again, we sure know how frustrating that can be. Enjoy your weekend :)xx

Imagine what you guys could do if you had thumbs!

  12. No Internet? That truly would be disastrous for me as that's how I make my living.

I am coming up on my 5 year blogoversary but while I still blog daily I gave up cat blogging a while back... so you certainly won't hear a negative peep from me. ;-)

  14. We know what you mean. Mommy hardly ever helps us visit anymore. Heck we are lucky to get a blog post out of her.

  15. Computer problems make the humans curse in so many interesting ways!

  16. Would've like to hear the banter. I'm sure that was entertaining...

  17. Very funny! I watch my mom curse and scowl at the computer constantly but yet she continues to play with it even though it bothers her from time to time!
Love your dad's shoes! Very preppy!
Thanks for your funny Silly Saturday caption! Too silly!

  20. MOL tell your mom if she had a purse as big as the one in the mural she could carry a baker's dozen to work!!
Hugs Madi and we totally understand about commenting..your mom works hard so she needs some free time for the kitties and the hubby.
We know you are thinking about us!!
    :-)

  21. We HATE computer problems...mostly because we can't do much about them...and neither can the mom and the dad-guy. The mom is no computer genius...not by a longshot! We're glad you got yours fixed.

We understand about the commenting. The mom has cut us down to posting about 4-5 times a week now and she allows us to comment on blogs at least 2-3 times a week...some of our favorite blogs (like yours!) we make her go to every day. But she says she's been spending WAY too much time helping us. We disagree, of course, but what's a cat to do???

    ReplyDelete
  22. No inner-nets would be a disaster! My Mommeh does not have much time to help me comment, either.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yikes, damn that mercury in retrograde. Hope it's smooth sailing soon!

    ReplyDelete
  24. It would be crazy to have to live without the interwebs! I'm glad you were there to help fix the problem.

  25. I am so glad that you were able to fix the crisis...

But, I am confused. if daddy's shoes smell so bad why you sticking around???

Trish, thank you so much for the amazing comment... I can't begin to express how much it means to me. I read it to Marc and he too was blown away...

    XOXO

  26. I sure am glad you got it all worked out, those things can be very frustrating! Don't worry about commenting, we can't always get around either, so we understand!

    ReplyDelete
  27. We totally understand about the commenting. It really does take up way too much time. We don't get to everyone too. We will miss you. Have a great week end.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I got tired just by reading what your mom went through! I do not like having IT issues at all. Glad problem solved!

  29. No innernets make our mum tear her hair out and say lots of bad words. We haven't been commenting as much lately either. We try to visit some every day but mum says she has lots of other things she should be catching up with.

    ReplyDelete
  30. don't feel bad. Mom is the "techie" in our house and that's not saying much!
As for the comments, no worries!! mom is probably going to be cutting back as well. Why? She says she "needs a life" whatever THAT means! MOL! Love, Cody

  34. Ah! The joys of internet not connecting!
We's knows how yous guys feels! Mommy say that over 150m posts from our furrends everyday its hard to keeps up! We thinks that after 9 hours a day online with her real job, what's 9 hours more for me?
I mean does she has to paint those pictures? Feed the hairy slobbery sisters? Can for the next market?
    Kisses

  35. Would like to read more detail about that router mess. heh heh. TW doesn't know how other bloggers do it. She can't figure out how to write a daily blog, comment on a hunnert of them AND have a life all at the same time.

  36. Brighton and Coco love whiffin' stinky shoes, too! Teri says the only way she would get her chores done around here is if she couldn't get online, too...hahameow!
