Kitties!
Sweet Pea here.
As you know, I am a kitty who likes to eat fruits and begetables. Yams, asparagus, pineapple tops, strawberry hulls, celery, oat grass and catnip (of course!)--you name it, I've tried it--and probably liked it. However, one of my all time favorite things to much on are corn husks. Yep, you read that right, I adore those yummy green corn wrappers above all other unmeats.
In fact, I woke up out of a light afternoon nap Dead Sleep the second I heard Mommy start peeling off the delectable Leafs of Roughage, sprang up onto the counter, and dug in!
the link is HERE
Mommy was kind enough to peel me off a couple of thin strips to munch on, and I kept it down for nearly SIX minutes, a new purrsonal best.
heh.
Do any of you eat begetables?
Happy Wednesday!
XX Sweet Pea XX
Well if that isn't love I don't know what is..
ReplyDelete(I meant you must love him very much to give him something you know he is going to throw up)
ReplyDeleteYou're a funny one, Sweet Pea. No felines eat veggies here but Annie must have her share of my poached egg every morning. She even likes the toast. Hugs
ReplyDeleteThat looks like fun! Our Mommy shucked corn outside so we couldn't get hold of the silks. She's such a killjoy.
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Are you part goat?
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Corms. I never tried them, but Sweet Pea, YOU make eating that look good! I like grass. Maybe I'd like this?
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool kitty you are! Nope, we've never eaten begetables!
ReplyDeleteSeppo is banned from all fibre and greenery on account of his Greenhouse Gas production, from which we are suffering right now. It's hot hot hot here, and Mirsku is indeed incapacitated. Flat on his back gazing up at the sky. A dreamy look in his eye....
ReplyDeleteI has tried to eat corn and taters.
ReplyDeleteSweet Pea, you are crazy! And lucky - my human refuses to give us cat grass because we throw it up! Much less something like corn husks.
ReplyDeleteNo, I am a meat eater. :) Enjoy your vegetables. :)
ReplyDeleteSweet Pea, that's a new one on us! The cats who came before stole cooked ears of corn and ate them, but the husks were gone from them then. We have never thought of nibbling on a corn husk. Don't give Ashton and all the crazy things she eats any ideas!
ReplyDeleteNo we are meat eaters although our rainbow brother Megat used to eat tapioca chips
ReplyDeleteI don't like vegetables and if there are any in my foodables I leave them in a pile on the side of my dish. You make that corn look tasty though, (but not as tasty as you). I bet it is very satisfying when it comes back up.
ReplyDeleteWe don't eat anything like that but we quite like ham and love chicken.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
the late great mr. max used to love steamed broccoli... never have heard of a feline cornhusker before though.
ReplyDeleteSweet Pea, I applaud your husk nibbling. Me, I like V8. Plus, I get a bunch of vegetables at once!
ReplyDeleteCorn wrappers? You are one unique kitty! Most green my boys eat is cat grass, then a tiny bit of pumpkin.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your veggie. Happy Wednesday!
A cat in the corn! MOL!!!
ReplyDeleteSweet Pea you are too cute.
Sweet Pea, we know you are, er, unusual!(
ReplyDelete(Our mom had a kitty who loved peas, but would spit out the skins around the inside and MMM likes tomatoes and tomato sauce.)
Oh, I love fruits and veggies too! My favorite would be the stinkiest fruit on the planet. The Durian!
ReplyDelete...Tutu
Oh yes, Tucker adores corn on the cob (raw, please), and peas (any form). Also cataloupe.
ReplyDeleteSweet Pea, we loved how you wouldn't chew on the piece your mommy gave you until you were good and ready to! Hee hee!
ReplyDeleteI have never tried anything like that. Is is good with whipped cream?
ReplyDeleteHmm, I've never tasted them. M has never tried to give them to me and I've never helped myself either. Peronally, I'm a kibble kinda guy!
ReplyDeleteNever tried to get Angel or Chuck to eat corn husks before, but will see if they are interested the next time we have such delectibles in the house.
ReplyDeleteSweet Pea, now I know how you got your name!!!
ReplyDeleteNope, we don't usually eat begetables. Though I've been known to munch on a house plant or two. ~Wally
ReplyDeletemol! Sweet Pea, normally we aren't fans of begetables but we are suddenly interested in korn husks for the yak-factor :D we love the encouragement you get from your mommeh :)
ReplyDeletePIp, Smidgen, Minnie, HOllie
No begetables! Just Cheetos! -Scout
ReplyDeleteI shuck my corn at the store so my kitties can't eat the husks- I guess I am a meanie.
ReplyDeleteDo you eats the begetables just to see what they will look like coming up Sweet Pea?
ReplyDeleteSami has been known to eat raw onion tho mom bean takes it away from her 'cuz it's not good for kitties.
Sasha lubs fresh grass. But the only green Saku eats is our greenie treats.
Enjoy your snack Sweet Pea!
Sasha, Sami, & Saku
Our angel Thelma loved veggies. Most of us like to gnarl the corn cobs after the humans eat all the corn off. We usually don't get the chance, though. We think eating those husks is really goofy. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
