I'm just enjoying the sun up on the Apartment Complex, hanging around, thinking about...wait a second...

...did you hear that?

That sounded like the garbage truck* to me!

uh oh.

I detest that thing, and it's coming closer.

I don't give a stubby bent whisker that I'm safe in the Catio and it's on the street...

...I'm outta here!

    When the trash truck here comes around, we barely notice - our morning sun puddles are on the other side of the property from the street and we are on the second level, so it's very far away!

    Unless the porch is open (which is rare) we don't pay any attention to the garbage truck. That side of our house is pretty sound-proofed because it tends to be noisy to begin with.

    Hobbes likes to lay under the bushes in the front of the house. It isn't the garbage truck that scares him--it is the little girls down the street that walk by with their mommies late in the day. They like him and want to come over to see him. VERY scary.

    I don't hear the garbage truck up in the road but it probably wouldn't bother me. I am used to dad charging around in his tractor with the trailer bouncing along behind.

    Exactly how we feel. When we hear that thing in the alley, we are immediately at the backdoor asking to come off the Catio and into the house. We must say you are looking quite good.
