Friends and Kitties!
Sheebie here.
So...I'm assuming that you are are all passably acquainted with the idea of plate techtonics; the shifting of the Earth's crust, forming various, ever-changing land masses. Sometimes the crust gets a little thin or weak and a volcano erupts over the hot spot...like my spectacular barf-o-rama earlier this week.
Well, the crust shifted.
The norovirus hot spot found a new crevasse.
Scott has it now.
The "good" part is that he was more of a shield volcano--gradually (yet relentlessly) depositing magma at the surface, layer by layer--rather than the furious explosive ones I chose to emulate, which helped minimize the collateral damage to life and property...
I took another day off work to be at his beck and call keep an eye out in case things went downhill like they did for me but Scott's G.I system's a trooper and as of writing this he's up and even feeling a little peckish. I admit the extra day off did me no harm; I took it easy on myself the whole day and feel all the better for it. Hopefully we're both done!
What a week.
Here's to a better one...
Happy Sunday!

Did you barf on the rug? Did the kitties have to clean it up?
ReplyDeleteWoahhhh. Spectacular! If only the katses could talk! What stories they can tell.
ReplyDeleteOh noes. Take care humans and don't pass that on the kitties now :)
ReplyDeleteEmma and Buster
Holy cod, this is like a nightmare. We hope Scott is feeling better by now and this evil has left your household. It's making our Mommy get the willies way over here in Oklahoma!
ReplyDeleteUgh! At least it's over for both of you now.
ReplyDeleteThanks (wethinks) for sharing! Be well!
ReplyDeleteO OH ! NO !
ReplyDeletesending heap of purrs to your daddy
pleasetake care
xox
Gees, enough is enough! Lots of healing purrs to you both!
ReplyDeleteWe hope that this is it for the illnesses for both of you! How awful.
ReplyDeleteShamefully, we are very bad at blog visits, but today we overtook Mom's new (and as yet hairless) computer to check in on you guys. Wow. No fun in your house. Not enough having kitties ralfing up grass, but when the humans start ralfing then life has really gone to the dogs (hehehe..aren't we funny!). We sincerely hope that the ENTIRE house is perfectly better VERY soon and that all (human) reverse (bodily) movements cease and desist immediately!! For us kitties it is not only normal and expected, but, to be entirely honest, something we are proud of. After all, being able to ralf up grass is a true art form and making pretty ralfed up grass pictures can be quite an artistic achievement! Chouchou and I are novice ralfers, but we are learning. Just yesterday I did a bit of artwork myself in plain site under the bed!! hehe!! I just don't understand why Mom doesn't think it is so pretty or why she doesn't appreciate our talent!! Take care - all of you - and stay healthy. Head-butts and purrs from us BadCats (yes, I am actually quite bad these days because I pee'd somewhere I shouldn't - and enjoyed it!!) and daMeenDawgs
ReplyDeleteElioth, Chouchou, Ellwood and Ginger
We purr that things around your place will settle down again,
ReplyDeletewith no more rumblings.
Purrs Georgia and Julie,
Treasure and JJ
Be well my friends. I am sure they will be a great help!!
ReplyDeleteThose volcano's are vicious aren't they!
ReplyDeleteWe sure hope all is well soon. A clean plate is a wonderful thing.
ReplyDeleteWe are glad Scott didn't have as bad an experience as you. Mom remembers as a university student going on a fishing vessel for a marine biology experience. One young man got seasick and could not stop barfing. Once he had triggered that reflex, it would not stop and he had to go to hospital. Sounds as if you, Sheebie, may have a little like the same thing. Maybe a prescription for Zofran just to have on hand would be an idea. They give it for chemotherapy and for morning sickness.
ReplyDeleteWe are so glad Scott (DaddyKatt) didn't have the same experience Sheebie (MommieKatt) did! Whew. We hope you are both on the mend!
ReplyDeleteHopefully the bug has run its course and has left the household for good! Sounds like a rough few days that no one wants to repeat!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
It looks like there is a lot of volcanic activity by you MOL ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteyou can't beat that analogy :) here's hoping you are all feeling better in the week ahead!
ReplyDelete~C...and crew
Those tectonic plates are not the way you want to feel the earth move! I hope all volcanic eruptions have now become dormant and you both are feeling better again.
ReplyDeleteGlad all is okay after the eruptions! Hope that never, ever, ever happens to you again!
ReplyDeleteNoro Virus!! THAT is a dirty word around here!
ReplyDeleteYou have described it perfectly!
Hoping all the magma stays UNDER the crust from here on out for your household!
ReplyDeleteHope the volcanos are done erupting for good now.
ReplyDeleteOh oh - sounds like everyone is under the weather! Get better soon!
ReplyDeletexo Catherine
We hope you both will be back 100% very soon...those eruptions are NO fun. Hugs and nose kisses
ReplyDeleteUgh. This sounds worse that having just a hairball. Hope Mr. Scott is feeling better soon. :)
ReplyDeleteUgh! We hope that sicky stuff gets outta Dodge (and your bodies) real soon!
ReplyDeleteI am so very sorry. It is no fun to be sick and then it is no fun to take care of someone who is sick. I hope you are both back to normal ASAP
ReplyDeleteYou have been quite creative describing being sick. So happy you are both feeling better. I think you are the only person to use the word peckish except for myself. MOL. Janet and Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
