Kitties!
Monday it poured down rain in the morning.
We had a third of an inch in less than a half hour!
There was thunder,
and lightening,
and...
and...
a lost doggie!
Apparently it DOES rain cats and dogs...
He was pretty frightened, but friendly. Daddy coaxed him into the garage and shut the door to check him out. Thankfully he had a collar with ID! His name was Loki. Daddy was able to contact Loki's Person (who was at work) and they came to get him immediately. Loki has a fenced yard, but he was covered in dirt so Daddy thinks he must have dug his way out of the yard. and started wandering the neighborhood.
He was a wiggly guy--this is the best pic we have.
We could hear Loki barking when he was in the garage, and there were many many many puffed tails and Suspicious Looks aimed towards the door.
We have our paws crossed that the next time it rains we get water only!
Happy Wednesday!

Meomw says that is flooding waters and that she got caught in a storm like that when she lived there in the desert. She didn't find any lost woofies though. We are glad your Daddy was nice and saved him.

ReplyDeleteWe've never seen a pic of your place with wet streets or wet anything. Neat!
Paws up for a rescue with a happy ending! Loki's owners must have been very grateful at such quick thinking to get them home to him safely.
ReplyDeleteOh my, it does rain dogs! Loki is such a cute woofie. Your dad is wonderful to rescue him. Glad Loki had collar with ID and is back home with his humans. And now peace is back to you kitties :-)
ReplyDeleteGood job (your dad)! We're glad he was able to rescue Loki and contact Loki's human. Paws crossed they fix their fence (or fix whatever needs repair) so that it doesn't happen again.
ReplyDeleteAwww good job, Kat-daddy, saving the dog! I'm sure his owners were thrilled.
ReplyDeleteHooray for the Dad! That was sure nice to help that poor dog out. And I'm glad he had a tag so his parents could be called quickly.
ReplyDeleteWe started dog-sitting Sammy the Weiner Dog years ago and at first, he'd bark at Grace. With one swipe, he learned that messing with the cat is not the route to go. You have to train the dog not to mess with you.
Nice Daddy! Maybe next time it will rain Kats and you can add to the group?? :)
ReplyDeletehopefully the next time it rains it won't be like in the movie magnolia where it rained frogs.
ReplyDeleteYay for your daddy, even if some cats were skeptical! Hmm...looks like some goggie smooching going on there...hey hey, none of that!
ReplyDeleteBravo to the Daddy! Loki is a very lucky pup!

ReplyDeleteHe was nice to give him shelter and find his people though. Loki probably shouldn't be out alone when his people aren't home.

Your dad is a hero. And Loki is lucky.
ReplyDeleteLoki is very lucky your dad rescued him and got him back with his owners. We get very heavy rain here sometimes, but no dogs have rained down in our garden.
ReplyDeleteIs daddy secretly thinking about adopting a woofie?? Oh my!!
ReplyDeleteOur Mom thinks Loki is very cute AND he was very lucky your Dad person was there to help him get back home.

Loki is a cutie! That's so great that you were able to help reunite him with his family!
ReplyDeleteWell, while it was a nice thing to do, I really hope he took a shower to get the d*g smell off him!
ReplyDeleteWhat happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas we fink. Everything is different in your place. Even the rain brings dogs :) He's a cute one. Wish you could have sniffed him.
ReplyDeleteEmma and Buster
Pawsome job Dad Katnip Lounge! Loki was a lucky puppy to find his way to your house during the storm (mom bean thinks he probably was afraid of the storm), even if you kitties weren't thrilled to have a woofie so close.
ReplyDeleteSasha, Sami, & Saku
