Kitties!
CC and my brother Scouty here, along with our Mama.
This is the first photo that the peeps ever got of us!
We had been coming in for a few days to eat--after Mommy saw Scouty skitter up the back wall like a tiny furry lizard when she walked out into the yard--and realized there were bebbeh kittehs in the 'hood that needed feeding. It was the middle of summer and blisteringly hot so we all appeared after the sun went down to have our dinner.
About a month later we were captured by the giant scary humans. Our Mama was no longer coming to eat with us...there are lots of coyotes where we live and we think that's what happened...'cos who could bear to abandon two cute little kits like us?
Anyway, Mommy tried her best to domesticate us and she half succeeded; *I* am a total love bug albeit a bit shy, Scouty, as you know, is still completely feral, or so he'd like to think...he's been seen sleeping on the bed with Mommy on occasion!
Here we are the following winter, half grown, contemplating our roots!
Life sure is easier on the inside...no matter what Scouty says.
Happy Thursday!

We didn't know your Gotcha story before! We had no idea you were so little! We're sorry about your kitty mom but we're glad she knew to bring you to your new mommy and daddy!
ReplyDeleteHow awesome that you guys allowed yourselves to be rescued! How sad about your mom, though.
ReplyDeleteYou were so teeny tiny, and your Momma did a brilliant job protecting you and finding the Lounge - we know whatever happened to her she did An Amazing Thing bringing you boys up. And then you wee kidnapped and now are kept safe with pals you love. And that screechy lady and nutter man, hehehehe. Thanks for the flashback.
ReplyDeleteSoon Scouty you'll be like me, drooling and head butting the Humans, purring without embarrassment, and tapping with a soft paw for playtimes.
ReplyDeleteOh, how the Mighty have fallen, Scouty. On second thought, stay firm in your Ferality.
We think you two formerly ferals did quite well for yourselves!
