Kitties!
Mommy harvested the limes* lemons.
what the heck? |
The weatherguessers are forecasting our first cold snap of the year; possibly down to freezing!
lemons, limes... |
Every year Daddy has conniptions that the fruit is gonna freeze on the tree and be spoiled, yadda yadda, yadda...Mommy is made of sterner stuff and willing to bet against the weatherman but to shut Daddy up placate him she harvested the lemons (that only she eats).
color me unimpressed. |
Whatever.
We want catnip, Mommy.
Happy Friday!

*for those of you not in the know, the peeps bought the lemon tree several years ago on clearance without tags...they thought it was a lime tree until one of the fruits they neglected to pick in the fall turned YELLOW in December!
Crazypants.
Well, Äiti likes your lemons too - she is running out of dried slices to put in her drinks! Hehehehe.
ReplyDeleteSo how is the catnip growing? And can it really FREEZE where you are ? Keep warm kitties, keep warm.
We had a freeze a few weeks ago, but then it got warmish again until a couple days ago.
ReplyDeleteHey, those lemons look nice and all, but yes ... more catnip, less lemons! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, looks like she harvested more than the fruits, took the leafy branches too! Enjoy the fruity goodness!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd prefur nip to lemons too.
ReplyDeleteEwww, lemons! Count me in for nip too.
ReplyDeleteNip sounds much better.
ReplyDeleteWe'd prefer nip over lemons any day!
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

ReplyDeleteWell, the yellow is very pretty but whisker puckering isn't too much fun!
ReplyDeleteEwww lemons! I'm with everyone else and would rather have nip. My mum doesn't like lemons, but likes a slice of lime in her gin!
ReplyDeleteIf she detaches them maybe you can bat them off the counter and across the floor.
ReplyDeleteTime to turn some lemons into lemonade or nip or something.
ReplyDeleteOMCs lemon trees in your back yard...looks like a good harvest.
ReplyDeleteMy peeps like lime in their sweet iced tea.
Hugs madi and mom
When life gives you lemons .... ;p They look like pretty nice cat toys too!
ReplyDeletethe critters in the cottage xo
Don't be fooled by their pretty appearance and take a bite! *Shivers*
ReplyDeleteMOL ! We had the same idea as LP ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteM's mouth is watering over all that fresh fruit. Nothing better than right off the tree.
ReplyDeleteThe mom thinks those lemons could help make some really good meowgaritas.
ReplyDeletehow cool it is to have a lemon tree!! We wonder if Mommy was right and it never froze?
ReplyDeletecatchatwithcarenandcody
The lady is interested in the lemons but I am also interested in the nip.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, when the lady would squeeze a lemon into her drink, Lucy would go crazy licking her fingers. Somehow it wasn't straight lemon juice but something a little stickier, possibly from holding onto the rind?
Nice to see you, Sweet Pea & Salem!
WHen I was a kid, I thought it was amazing that oranges and lemons and limes grew on trees and people in warmer climates could actually grow them in their gardens. I remain jealous! Sometimes we have the crappiest citrus fruit in our stores... it is really hard to get amazing oranges.
ReplyDeleteMOL, lemons, limes - our mom has been known to put EITHER in a meowgarita.
ReplyDeletedaddies are weird apparently
