Friends and Kitties!
Sheebie here.
The Fitbit I received for Catmas continues to goad me off my butt.
I am lucky enough to get in a couple of long walks on shift at work, doing plant checks, and on my days off I cruise the neighborhood for exercise. It's great, except for one thing--the drastic elevation change, no matter where I go--we live in a valley. Which means hills...
Like this one!
There's a nice park with benches halfway up the mountain--that's today's destination.
Part way up, looking back. It's a total of fourteen flights of stairs to the top. And yes, I'm huffing and puffing by the time I reach the top.
But the view, holy cats, it's so worth the work.
Beyond the mountains it was cloudy and raining in California; from here I can see the weather coming in for hours before it actually arrives. Not that the rain makes it here, much--but that just leaves more sunny days for adding steps on my Fitbit, right?
Happy Thursday!

You make my human crazy because there is no way she can keep up with you... and several other friends she has on FitBit! Her work is mostly in front of a computer, so she has to make time to get her steps in if she wants to get any in at all. But she only very rarely breaks 80,000. We do live in a tri-level house, though, so she gets lots of floors in.
ReplyDeleteOur Mommy really misses the beauty of that place. It was so wonderful to have Blog Paws there a couple of years ago.
ReplyDeleteYou have stairs going up a mountain?
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, Äiti is jealous of the hills and the continuing victory over the Fitbit - her stats are pretty low. We are just grateful they are not made for felines - even if Aila could do with one......
I hope you pack oxygen tanks to climb that mountain, like they do on Everest. You could hire some Sherpas to help you. Be careful out there!
ReplyDeleteOur mom's been kind of epic-failing lately and only able to do 3 days out of her usual 6 in a week. And she's sooooper impressed by your hike up that hill!
ReplyDeleteALSO... if you ever tire of the Fitbit? she ADORES her Misfit. Seriously. NO CHARGING. It runs on a 6 month battery watch. *love*
Our mommy doesn't even wear her Fitbit anymore. Something about doing tax returns all day long does not equal steps.
ReplyDeleteWay to go to your mommy. We have to scratch our mom to get off the couch. On the other hand, one of the cats is always on top of her when she's on the couch.

i must have a defective apple watch. I think I'm getting less exercise now than the day I bought it.
ReplyDeleteMy watch just keeps time.....I even have to wind it!! And just getting dressed in the morning reminds me I need a lot more exercise!!
ReplyDeleteI'm just so darn proud of you! I'm such a coach potato, there I admitted it!
ReplyDeleteThat is an awesome view! Way worth it.
ReplyDeleteIt's so wonderful you do exercise and keep fit! That's something I need to do :-)
ReplyDeleteThe view is incredible. It sure is worth all the work!
My knees are hurting just thinking about all those stairs! Fantastic view, though...
ReplyDeleteguys....yur mom getted a grate shot for sure.....we think itz awesum her getted TWO de top of de mountin !! high paws ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteIt's all we can do to keep my mom from falling asleep on the couch in the afternoons.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place! I have a Fitbit, but haven't started using it yet. Still waiting for my hip to get better. ~Island Cat Mom
