Kitties!
Johnny here.
We had forgotten all about the fact Daddy took some picture of our humiliation exams when Rupert and I were about to be tortured dropped off for our dental cleanings last month.
But here they are--better late than never, right?
The vet listened to our hearts...
...and she invited Mommy to listen to mine!
I have a very mild heart murmur, just a little squeak every so often. Dr. Auggie heard it and thought Mommy would be interested in hearing what it sounded like--she was--but naturally as soon as she put the stethoscope on I intentionally stopped the squeak, so all Mommy got to hear was my normal ba-BUP ba-BUP ba-BUP.
Kitties, opportunities like this to thwart your peeps' desires can make a vet visit worthwhile!
Well, almost.
As long as the thermometer stays in the drawer...

Happy Monday!

Poor sweeties! Good job thwarting though! Looks like Rupert is seriously trying to find the way back into that PTU while they're distracted with you!
ReplyDeleteThat was a cool trick, hiding your heart murmur, Johnny!
ReplyDeleteCor, human beans get to sit down during your exam at your vets? I have to stand when Megs has one. Michelle in Wellington, NZ, xxxx
ReplyDeleteAnd in the meantime, Rupert is desperate to break into the PTU......
ReplyDeleteWe are glad you guys are better and now the snotties are leaving the building too.
Good one, Johnny. One of the cats who came before used to purr nonstop so the vet couldn't listen to her heart. You could try that one, too!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, you are too funny, Johnny! But it's cool that your mom got to hear you through stethoscope!
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine if your mom WERE a vet??? Poking and prodding at home, all the time!
ReplyDeleteHa, Johnny, you should teach your cool trick for hiding your heart murmur to our Granpa (Claire's dad), just to see the face of his doctor MOL ! Purrs
ReplyDeletebeing able to control your heart is the key to life (and love).
ReplyDeleteWay to go guys!!
ReplyDeleteOoh, now I want to listen to Chuck's heart next time he's at the vet!
ReplyDeleteYou both look pretty chill at the vet's office. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteEmma and Buster
That was a clever trick, Johnny.
ReplyDeleteRupert is sure looking longingly to get back in the dreaded carrier.

ReplyDeleteMOL! Good job, Johnny! Tell your mommy she shouldn't give up her day job. ;)
ReplyDeleteVery sneaky, Johnny. We are having our yearly round-up this week when the vet comes to the house. Lily has a heart murmur as well. If she can remember, Mom's going to ask Dr. Neel if she can listen to it. We'll let you know if Mom hears it. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteThat is cool that your Mom got to listen. Praying your murmur just stays "little" xoxo catchatwithcarenandcody
ReplyDeleteif your not careful, the mom will go out and get her own stethoscope and listen to you all the time
