Kitties!
Maui here.
One of my many jobs here at The Lounge is Quality Control Inspector, Kitchen Area.
I have to lick the sandwich bread wrapper,
Sniff the artisan bread,
and test it for freshness.
Mommy bought this bread on sale...I think she'd better get it into the refrigerator!
hmmmm, are these tissues up to par?
YUP!

Now I would like to introduce our Special Guest,
Henry!
Henry is getting a little braver, he sat up on the wall by the jasmine vine and watched Daddy on the Catio for a bit, and he's looked in the windows by the front door.
Daddy is pretty sure he's seen a couple of ping-pongs under Henry's tail, so he'll be getting a trip to the vet one of these days...the Havaheart trap will strike and voila!, no more kitten-making for Henry.
We don't know if he's truly feral or not...so we don't have any answers as to what's gonna happen after his snip. We shall have to wait and see.

ReplyDeleteHenry is very handsome and we think he would be a great addition to the lounge. (easy for us to say, we don't pay your cat food bill!) Seriously, we think it's great that your Dad is going to take him for his Hoo-Ha-ectomy.
Good inspekshun job Maui, we hope yoor mom preeshiates all da help. Henry is cute!If he is a stray he looks purrty well fed and clean. Mom just sent da letter she sends to alla da naybors effury few years dat any kitty wandering will be fixed. Last year we only hadded two kitties use da shelters behind da house and dey was already neutered and hadded a home, dey just liked to spend sunny days sleeping in da boxes.

ReplyDeleteHenry is a good looking guy and look well fed. But I think if he got his own human. That ping-pong under his tail should be give you guys some sign after this. ( I mean Like... Before my mom adopted me. My parent thought, I might be a stray cat and then I got scare on my head, a few day later, My hair got shave. That told my mom straight away, I got the owner )
And Please say Thank you to your mom and dad to captured his photo, Mom told me it's really hard to captured the visitor at night time. Because you never know when he come.
Maui you did a fabulous job there inspecting and that Henry cat has spooky eyes.

OMC Henry looks like me....well he doesn't have freckles on his nose but he could be my brudder from another mother...

This last summer mom finally had enough of the gray cat that was hanging around and was responsible for 3 of our garage cat Zolie's litters. He used to come & go but he finally decided to take up residence under the deck. He was spraying & making it stinky outside so mom just picked him up one day & took him to the shelter. He was nice, someones cat, he would come right up to you and rub your legs. At first she felt bad because it was obvious he was someones cat, but then not sad because they obviously were irresponsible cat owners letting him roam like that. He was missing an eye too, from fighting. When he finally stopped even going to his so called home and moved in here, she knew she had to act.

What a great job you are doing! Such impawtant werk, too. And Henry... we are glad you will lose your ability to make kittens. As much as we luff them.. there are far too many homeless out there.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what ping pongs are so I asked Simba. He says he doesn't know either so we asked mummy. Mummy says she will sit down with us this evening and tell us all about it. Simba seems quite interested but I think I would rather go and play. Henry is very sweet and i'm sure he would like to come in and play with you all very soon xx

Ah Maui, we have a bread inspector here, too - who always manages to take the wrapper (bread intact) to the floor where the dogs make the bread NOT intact.
