Kitties!
Felix here, with a State of the Lounge report.
First. Mommy is in the middle if working EIGHTEEN days straight. Yes, she volunteered. Yes, she IS crazypants. Yes, Daddy is being a star , picking up the slack and playing with us extra! So far, none of our meals have been late so it's all good.
Second. The Baby is feeling much better! Mommy has mad pilling skillz but it takes both her and Daddy to give her a pill--that gal has no bones and can slither out of anything but a full-Daddy-lock.
Tres. Many of you wondered why I was so puffed up last Saturday. Well. Me and Sylvester like to drive the peeps around the bend play "Creep Your Brother Out" and stalk each other. Darn it, this is embarrassing...but he wins, a lot. And Mommy captured the moment of his victory.
Traitorous wench.
Fore. The Morgue, otherwise known as The Freezer, does NOT contain a mouth-watering array of delicious frozen wildlife--they merely lay there in state until trash day. I know, total rip-off.
Finally. We got a very nice award from the Cherry City Kitties!
Thank You so much for thinking of us!!
They wrote in their post: This is all about the love. You don't have to do anything, but share. No questions, no contests, no elebenty hundred bloggers to nominate, just love.
How PURRfect is this?
'Specially cos Mommy the typist seems a little pre-occupied lately.
Please, take the award and spread the love!
Happy Thursday!
XX Felix XX
she IS crazypants
ReplyDeleteglad to hear she is doing better.
that is so totally rude
and totally unfair. :)
That is one looooooooooooong stretch of work. Give mommy a big hug. I'm sure she needs one!
ReplyDeleteWow, 18 days straight. Wow.
ReplyDeletePity about the Morgue. But it WAS good for re-enactment purposes, wasn't it?
What a beautiful award. You all are so deserving. Does human food go in the same freezer? Doesn't bother us none, but Mom says she's feeling a little creeped out. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
ReplyDeleteToo bad the Morgue doesn't have some delectable mousies in there just waiting for the big thaw!
ReplyDeleteWow, Lounge Mommy is going to need some heavy duty cuddling from you kitties when she gets home each day for sure! Sending big purrs The Baby's way for her to feel better pronto!

ReplyDeleteWOWza--I'd sure like me one-a them ICE MACHINES, by golly!
ReplyDeleteIn other news, I am soooo relieved FDW is feeling perkier! Whew!
And in still other news, I'd like to hear more about this stalkarati game, Felix. Can I play it on my Human???
I am kind of bummed about the morgue - I was thinking of convincing my human to have a similar set-up here.
ReplyDeleteDarn! And we were so looking forward to the Christmas Cake filled with all the presents!
ReplyDeleteGlad The Baby is feeling better.
Here at the Swamp we have a clean up crew for fallen birdies or other critters. Or as we call them here, turkey vultures. They have mad cleaning skillz. srsly.
ReplyDelete18 days straight? she better get the following 18 days off to spend with y'all.
ReplyDeleteWe're glad to hear she's feeling better.
ReplyDeleteTotally unfair that the morgue is only temporary holding. That sounded like a place to get nice cool treats in the summertime.
What a waste of tasty morsels - do the trash collectors eat them raw?
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Geeez - spammers - now what would a bunch of anipals need with ice machines. We didn't even read it so they wasted their time on us. Anyway, back to important stuff - sorry your mom is caught working so much again. But you are lucky to have such a nice Daddy who steps up to the plate and takes over. The important thing is that you are getting your meals - so he's doing a fantastic job.
ReplyDelete18 days straight?? she is nuts!!
ReplyDeletesounds like all is well around the Lounge....
Our mommy will never complain about work again! She could never work 18 days straight since no one would want to deal with her after 5 days. :) Bummer that the trash people get your morgue. We're glad The Baby is doing better!
ReplyDeleteEighteen days straight? That's awful--what was she thinking?
ReplyDeleteWe are happy The Baby is feeling better :) That means no trip to the v-e-t!
The human told us not to get any ideas about stalking each other. Sharing The Stink Eye is enough for her.
We're disappointed about The Morgue. We thought at least you got to play with the frozen critters :(
You all need to make sure your mom's hands are tied down and she is wearing a muzzle before she goes to work..that way she cannot volunteer!
ReplyDeleteHugs Madi your BFFF
Maybe you furries could have your own freezer morgue. Think of all the delicious things you keep in there for a quick snack!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your well deserved award. We hope daddy keeps up the good work while mom is busy.
WOW, what a week you are having.....we had to catch up on the news. So glad Baby is feeling a bit better. They could use you guyz at our Walmart, birds are always flying around the store once the plant area opens in the spring.
ReplyDeleteSounds like your Daddy is doing a great job picking up the slack of your over worked Mommy........and thanks for the purrz for our Dad and Grammom=^Y^=
Thanks for keeping us up-to-date. (Yawn) My Mom has been going to "appointments" (she says), but Dad filled my empty dish for the first time today!?!
ReplyDeleteMandu
…. tres ….. fore ….. ?? mol
ReplyDeleteIf I were you I wouldn't be paranoid, but mommy seems more than happy to be spending 18 straight days away from you guys!! You might want to take a look at your bathroom habits! Just meowing!!
18 days straight????? The final proof we needed that some humans are terminally WEIRD!!!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
Keep practicing, you will win one day!
ReplyDeleteYes, your Mom is crazypants!
We are glad the Baby is feeling better!
Omc, we hope you get some cuddle time and do head over for our big news.
ReplyDelete18 days
ReplyDeletemy goodness
I don't suppose you felines have considered helping out around the house a wee smidge? (no, I didn't think so!)
Glad to hear Baby is feeling better.
That's a great list. We love ALL of it. Except for #Fore...we were really hoping you'd post a morgue menu of delectable treats. And we were hoping you offered Fed Ex shipping.
ReplyDelete; ) Katie
Good thing your daddy is taking care of you guys...otherwise you might all starve!
ReplyDeleteOur mom says your mom is nuts, but we likes crazypants better, MOL
ReplyDeleteGood to hear Baby is feeling better. That's a fun game you play, no stalking here, just lots of chase the kitty, turn around, chase the kitty.
Sorry to hear the morgue isn't a buffet for you kitties. What's up with that?
Have a great weekend!
Sasha, Sami, & Saku
Great update! Nothing of interest ever happens around here anymore.
ReplyDeleteIf your mommy wasn't crazypants before working 18 days, she will be after! Our mom has steel jaws of death clamping thighs she uses to vice grip us kitties into pilling position if we don't cooperate & she's itching to try them on The Baby. Look out! Bragging rights involved! Oh, and so sorry about your freezer!
ReplyDeleteYou totally dashed our hopes about the Morgue! What a lovely delectable kitty pleasing thing that would have been!
ReplyDeleteHow disappointing about the morgue. Such a waste!
ReplyDeleteI am glad The Baby is feeling better.
And yes... your mum is crazypants. 18 days! Whatever is she thinking of deserting you so much.
crazypants or CLEVERpants...in that The Dad Man has to tote that barge, lift that bale and serve them kittehs. purrhaps this is really an 18-day vacation from her Feline Duties. You should ask her about it when she's home, or, at the very least, register your disappointment in one of her shoes. But let her know all will be forgiven if she provides a steady supply of Birdie Popsicles. That seems fair.
ReplyDeleteHoping Mom isn't working herself too hard!! Glad everyone else is doing well!
ReplyDeleteWow that is a lot of work. Back in the day Dad would work 10 to 14 12hour shifts in a row. Crazy, maybe, but he would do them all in the same pay period. He says that time and a half sure bought some cat food.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info on the fluff tail. We have those games here too.
Thanks for the Baby update. Dad tries to get liquid for us. We HATE pills.
Thanks fur the award
Purrs
