We received the esteem'd and highly coveted MOUSES! award from TWO blogs, Mario's Meowsings and The REAL Maple Syrup Mob.

Thank you all, we are very honored to accept this Extremely Prestidgious Award!

As you may know, our Mommy regularly uses rather "blue" language, in fact, we're surprised that we don't shrivel up and die when she kisses us with her be-fouled lips.  However, her repertoire is a bit limited...so it was deeply gratifying to have a brand-new expletive to use for our very own; MOUSES!  It's a grand word, and it lends itself to all sorts of creative manipulations as various parts of speech...which is where Mommy with her gutter-mouth got into trouble...she cooked up the phrase MOUSER FLUFFER!

We're pretty sure MOUSES! is Not Intended to be used in such a rude manner.

*sigh*

In other news, Mommy is working six-and-a-half shifts next week and we might be a bit scarce.  It's a bummer having her gone an extra day, but on the other paw it means breakfast is only late one morning!

Things Sheebie Likes

Friends and Kitties!

Sheebie here, and I have a confession to make:

I stole an award from the Kats!

It's true.

The Crew at The Cat on My Head gave them the My Favorite Things award:

This gave me an idea...what if I made a list of things that not having made me happy?

1.  I don't miss my knee brace or feeling weak.  My busted kneecap is doing great and I can almost climb stairs again.  Also, I can sit comfortably at work.  I'm trying for a full five days this week...

2.  I don't miss stale, fuggy, hot air in my house.  The new HVAC unit is installed and the drywall guy should be coming for a job preview this week.  We own a portable A/C that normally lives in the garage and it saved our bacon from spoiling last Wednesday when the replacement replacement unit was put in.

3.  Sometimes, sunshine is over-rated.
Saturday it was overcast, and it rained!  So I didn't miss the blistering heat.  The smoke and ash from the fires up at Mount Charleston/Kyle Canyon are over 50 miles away from us (so we're safe), but I think they might be seeding the clouds that build up every afternoon because we normally don't get rain this early in the monsoon season.

4.  I don't miss wrassling with Maui to comb out his dreads.  However, I think he may miss his modesty...

...and yes, he is neutered!

So, I have lots to be grateful for today and I'm gonna keep on looking for good things.  What gives you a cheap thrill burst of happy?

Thursday Stuff

Kitties!

Felix here, with a State of the Lounge report.

First.  Mommy is in the middle if working EIGHTEEN days straight.  Yes, she volunteered.  Yes, she IS crazypants.  Yes, Daddy is being a star , picking up the slack and playing with us extra!  So far, none of our meals have been late so it's all good.

Second.  The Baby is feeling much better!  Mommy has mad pilling skillz but it takes both her and Daddy to give her a pill--that gal has no bones and can slither out of anything but a full-Daddy-lock.

Tres.  Many of you wondered why I was so puffed up last Saturday.  Well.  Me and Sylvester like to drive the peeps around the bend play "Creep Your Brother Out" and stalk each other.  Darn it, this is embarrassing...but he wins, a lot.  And Mommy captured the moment of his victory.

Traitorous wench.

Fore.  The Morgue, otherwise known as The Freezer, does NOT contain a mouth-watering array of delicious frozen wildlife--they merely lay there in state until trash day.  I know, total rip-off.

Finally.  We got a very nice award from the Cherry City Kitties!

Deep Thoughts with The Baby

Thank you!  It's nice knowing that you think of us.

Since I'm the Evil and Devious Deep Thinker of the Katnip Lounge I elected myself to tell you seven things I think about. 

 Because I know best.

1.  I think about Going Outside.

ALL the time.  

Some people have gone so far as to say I'm a little monomaniacal about it. 

2.  I think about catching that hummerbird and using his bill for an after-dinner toothpick.

3.  I think about Revenge.

3.1  A lot.

4.  I think it's a good idea to keep your weapons sharp...

...you just never know what sort of riff-raff might wander into your territory! 

5.  I think Daddy needs to get to work. 

6.  I think scritching satisfaction is directly proportional to the Human's difficulty in achieving said scratch.

7.  I think I may have a little dirt on me.

8.  I think I need a nap.

ALSO:  Mommy mentioned that she had 20 gig of storage with Google for five dollars a year.  Well.  She found out that our account is a "Legacy" account, and now storage is $2.49/month for 25 gig.

  Here's the LINK to buying storage.

Mommy uses all Google products (and at least four different computers) so for her, even the more expensive pricing plan is a bargain to have all her files accessible everywhere.  And at the rate she uploads to Picasa, we will have to upgrade soon...we're at 40% capacity and that's only the 2012 photos plus our blog!  

We apologize for our Mommy giving out erroneous information...after all, it's hard to be purrfect like us Cats.

Dingleberries, although sometimes unavoidable, are simply Not Done in PURRlite Society.

Eye gummies are never in style.  Even if you fight your minions at gummy-removal, let them "win" in the end.

Love Eyes are always in fashion.

We got Something Very Nice!

Well.

I can't imagine what I need...

I've been in my Forever Home almost a year now, and it's all I ever hoped for.

I have lots of yummy food to eat; crunchy kibbles, stinky goodness, and best of all I get table scraps!  Bacon, ham, pork roast, roast beef, chicken, fish, turkey...I eat it all.

I have room to roam in a safe environment (no more cage for me!)...

...and a brother to stalk.

My wish came true already, so I'll wish a wish for other kitties.

I wish that all the kitties in shelters had a Home like me!
