Ssssssunday Ssssselfie

 Kittiesssssss!

It issssss I, King Ssssssnake.
I wasssss sssspotted ssssslithering in the rockssss...

...and decsssssided to ssssnap a sssssselfie.

The Mommy:  King Snake was in the back yard at my folks' house; they are pretty sure he/she had just woken up from hibernation.  My folks "encouraged" it to move along--it's a constrictor and eats small prey (not cat-sized items like Shadow!)--but who wants a snake in the garden?

Happy Sunday!

  1. It is amazing how well mister King Snakes camouflaged against the rocks. Thanks for sharing this unusual hopper, er, slitherer today. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  4. My human! SHE would LOVE to have a king snake in her garden! She loves, loves, LOVES snakes and has always wanted to be pals with a king snake. It's a good thing we don't have them here because she would pester them to no end.

  5. The next door kitties Chez Cattail* include one snake hunter/destroyer, one assistant, and one to three interested bystanders. As the snakes involved are non-venomous and prolific, we enjoy watching the events.

*Chez Cattail is the informal name of my home. "Cattail" is part of the address; we don't collect them except as attached to our furry companions.

  11. If a kitty finds The King he may need to find a rock or handy hole to hide in.
He does have a great selfie

  19. Ack! He is a beauty, but I agree with the others. No snakes for me! I have a hard enough time with spiders. I know these things play a vital role in our gardens, but they worry me.
