Meezer Monday

Kitties!

::hop::

::plop::

Well hello there...May Ling here!
You know one thing I never have to worry about is missing a meal around here.  (No kidding!--ed)  Not because our Mommy is good at shopping, quite the contrary, but because she set up regular deliveries from Chewy.com! Our foodables appear like magic once a month, like manna from Kitty heaven.

They have competitive prices.

And when there was the salmonella scare with pet food, Mommy received a phone call as well as an email from their customer service center, making sure we didn't have contaminated food and offering substitutes to our regular order.  She was impressed.

So, we'd like to do something nice in return and give them a plug:

Give it a gander...
 ...tell 'em I sent ya.

Happy Monday!

Mr. Chewy Monday--TREAT REVIEW!

Kitties!

We received a package of treats to try in the mail last week from Chewy.com.

Ingredients
Chicken, Brown Rice, Ground Barley, Tapioca, Vegetable Glycerine, Chicken Meal, Natural Flavor, Molasses, Brewer's Yeast, Fish Oil, Cranberries, Salt, Sodium Bisulfate, Sorbic Acid, Taurine, Citric Acid, Mixed Tocopherols, Rosemary.

Kitties, the results were mixed.  The chicken-eaters at the Lounge gobbled the TidNips right up, and the rest of us were a little "meh" about them.  In our opinion they would be much more appealing in a seafood flavor; and we notice that the dog treats have a salmon variety that might be tastier to the rest of the crew.

This is the tally:
We LOVED the TidNips:  John, Maui, Sylvester, The Baby, Salem and Felix

We did not:  Grayce, Sweet Pea, Kona, Rupert, May Ling, Scouty and CC

And if you would like to see our Highly Scientific Taste Test, here is a movie for you!  You'll hear Mommy whistle in it, that's our cue to swarm...

Watch it on YouTube HERE

Sorry about the wobbliness, Mommy says it's hard to film and feed simultaneously.
Cod, she's incompetent.

Thank you to Chewy.com for asking us to try out the Felidae TidNips!

Happy Monday!

A Poopy Review

Kitties!

Mommy Trish here, with a review!

Mr. Chewy sent us a free bag of:

I was excited to have the Kats try it out.
Maui helped me clean the litter box.

Bag inspection.

One bag is 17 pounds but since it's lightweight walnut shells it filled one large litter box nicely!

It had a nice earthy/organic smell (no perfumes) and absolutely NO dust.

Grayce was our first tester!

Unfortunately, Grayce was our ONLY tester.  Everyone else refused to use this litter.  I moved the box to different established potty locations, with nary a deposit.  I tried sprinkling it on top of the usual litter, and that box was promptly boycotted, as well.

I was very disappointed that the Kats didn't care for this cat litter, because I sure liked it--it clumped well and took care of odors great (Grayce can clear a room), it's lightweight, environmentally friendly, and the total lack of dust had me sold.  I really wanted the Cats to "go" like the dickens in this new litter.  Ingrates.  I think it's worth the cost of a bag to see if your feline(s) will use it.

Mr. Chewy, I wish my review was more positive but I have to be honest...so thank you for letting "us" try the Blue Buffalo Cat Litter.  Me and the Kats look forward to testing another product for you.

Happy Tuesday!

Monday Munchies

Kitties!

The worst has happened.

Mommy has put us all on a D-I-E-T!

She has some hi-falutin' idea that we should be able to clean our own nethers, at least most of the time.  Because some of us *kof kof Salem May Ling Grayce kof kof* cannot properly play the cello anymore owing to fat round tummies!  Of course this ultimately is Mommy's fault--she put out too much tasty kibble for us to nibble, which we did, all day long.  In fact, the only reason we get kibble is because KonaKitty is our savior holds out for nothing else, practically.  Otherwise it would be wet food for us all the time, as we are all slimmer, have less dandruff, and are perkier on a canned food diet.

So, we now get only canned food to eat, twice daily, with a paltry serving of kibble at bedtime to appease Miss Kona enough to allow Mommy to sleep.  (She is an highly talented pesterer.)  We are not too fond of change so Mommy has been on the receiving end of some serious Stink Eyes and Screams of Displeasure.

Our Hero.

Fortunately, we got a package in the mail from Mr. Chewy!  It was a healthy treat for us to try, Nature's Variety Instinct Raw Boost Bites.  In the Chicken flavor--we love us some chicken.  Mommy couldn't deny us these treats, cos they are good for us, heh heh.

We ganged up on her for some.
They are pretty tasty!

Johnny loved 'em.  He was done in about 3 seconds!

Sylvester was intrigued...but no go.

The Baby ate TWO entire pucks!

Grayce gave then two (theoretical) thumbs up.

Sweet Pea ate her serving on the Counter Perch Towel.

May Ling chowed down her serving and went off to barge in on the others'!

Maui was not about to share.

Neither was Salem.

Kitties, in all nine out of thirteen of us enjoyed the Boost Bites, which is pretty good, considering that we are cantankerous contrary Cats.  Mr Chewy carries a venison variety, and also beef, which we are going to try next--Sylvester and Felix are beefeaters (not the kind guarding the Queen!) so Mommy thinks they will enjoy them more.

Thank you, Mr. Chewy, for asking us to review these delicious and nutritious treats!
Our dieting won't be quite as bad, knowing we'll have a yummy snack every afternoon.

Happy Monday!

Monday Munchies!

Kitties!

We've talked about Mr Chewy before:  it's an on-line pet supply store that we simply LOVE.
We have a standing order for Taste of the Wild kibble which we find very delicious.   More importantly, we haven't run out of kibble once since Mommy started the automatic delivery service.
Thank Cod.

So when we got an email offer to try a Natural Balance product we were verreh excited!
We all enjoy fishy flavors, so we picked out the Salmon Formula.
We could hardly wait for it to arrive.
It's here!  It's here!
Quit dawdling woman!  Dish this up IMMEDIATELY!
We normally get Friskies Pate canned food.
The peeps buy it in ginormous 48-can cases at Sam's Club, eight cases at a time.  We eat a lot!

The Friskies has artificial color in it, and it's not as nutritious as the Natural Balance.  Mommy says the Natural Balance has more of an odor, but it's a food smell, not gross or stinky or anything.

Here's what's in the Salmon Formula:
Salmon, Whitefish, Fish Broth, Chicken Liver, Chicken, Ground Brown Rice, Carrots, Eggs, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Chloride, Guar Gum, Taurine, Dried Cranberries, Carrageenan, Zinc Sulfate, Ferrous Sulfate, Vitamin E Supplement, Copper Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Niacin Supplement, Sodium Selenite, Thiamine Mononitrate, Calcium Pantothenate, Calcium Iodate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Riboflavin, Vitamin A Supplement, Folic Acid, Biotin, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement.

Our opinion is that this can is chock full of wonderfulness!

We did a side by side comparison with our (former) favorite fish flavor.
photobomb!

OMC, is this new food most totally excellent!

The old stuff didn't even get one lick.

*nom* *nom* *nom*
The results:
Time after time, cat after cat, the Natural Balance won paws down in our highly rigorous scientific taste test.
We recommend it.  It is pricier than what we eat now, but Mommy thinks that we can afford the Natural Balance a couple times a week, especially because KonaKitty, who detests wet food, chows this down with gusto.

THANK YOU MR. CHEWY!!!

Now, a word about the Customer Service at Mr Chewy.
It's fantastic!
For example--

Mommy had an issue with her debit card on file and Customer Service called her before our order was scheduled to ship.

With the recent food recall, our Taste of the Wild kibble delivery was delayed, and once again Customer service called to let Mommy know; they even had suggestions for a replacement food.

That's right, an actual phone call from a real live person!  Mommy was very impressed.

And we are impressed with our new food...is it supper time yet?

Happy Monday!

Tuesday with Mr. Chewy!

Kitties!

KonaKitty here.
As you may know, I went on an involuntary slimming regime when Mommy switched us over to wet food, so now we get crunchies again.  We get premium crunchies, but the pet food store is kind of out of the way to get to.  So we were DANGEROUSLY low on kibbles when we got an email from a nice man named Brent, who works for Mr.Chewy, a new web store for pet supplies. In the letter was an offer for a FIFTY dollar coupon in exchange for a review of their service.

Mommy was on that like in a flash!

She says the website is easy to use, has great selection, competitive prices, and checkout's a breeze!  There's even a feature for automatic reordering, which is great when you have a scatter-brained Mommy like ours.  (Or if your Human is organized!)  If you sign up for this feature, you get 15% off.

And listen to this: shipping is FREE on any orders over $49!!  Even CAT LITTER, which weighs a ton.

Delivery was prompt, too.  Mommy ordered on Tuesday afternoon and our goodies arrived on Friday morning!
This is what we got:
The BIG bag!
Another BIG bag!
DAWG TREATS!  We know, but they are just so TASTY!

There's one more great thing we like about Mr.Chewy and it involves YOU saving 10% on your first order!
If you order and use the code TCER6438 you will receive 10% off, and they will donate TEN BUCKS to these charities:
You can't lose!

Now, I need to go have a little snack.
Fill 'er up, Mr. Chewy!

Happy Tuesday!
