Many Cats asked about the Cat Tree in the big bedroom.
Of course, there's a story behind it.Way back, a bajillion years ago (1999) Hubby saw an ad in the classified section of the local newspaper reading: "6' cat scratcher, $30." He had a hunch that this wasn't some kind of stripper-pole for Cats...so he & I piled into the truck and zoomed off to see this thing.
And, we saw the cat tree we now own!
We got the deal of a lifetime. The Cats all love it. The ultimate respect is paid to this Cat tree; it has NEVER been peed on, unlike many other things I could mention. At any time at least one tree denizen is in it, I've seen as many as six at one time. Any Cat on it is safe from the Sucky Monster; and Scouty will let me approach him to give him treats (no touching!) most days. I think it's the scent of thousands of hours of napping that makes this tree so special and soothing to our fur kids.
I wish I could tell you where it came from or who made it, because this is the best dang tree in the universe. It was one of the things we knew for sure was coming with us from Chicago to Las Vegas, along with the big TV, a mattress and our business stock.
It's the bomb, pure and simple.

You paid $30 for that? $30?!? Holy cow, I would have thought $300+. You sure couldn't get anything like that here in a store for under $300. Too bad you don't know who made it! :-)

Wow! That's the coolest cat tree we've EVER seen! You get the award for bestest bargain. I wish WE had something like that!!

ReplyDeleteThat really is one terrific cat tree. It looks like it is made out of wood which means it is probably really heavy and that may be why the cats like it so much.It probably smells really good to them. Don't blame you for moving that tree. It is very special.
