Kitties!
Mommy had a quilt on the big bed, and we got it all furred up.
And for some reason, Mommy doesn't like Cat furs sticking to her chap-sticked lips when she sleeps.
Go figure!
Can you see Rupert's neck stripes?
So she washed the quilt, and since she's an energy-saving green freak she took it out of the dryer while it was damp, and draped it over the sofa.
Sacked out.
The quilt never made it back onto the bed.
(Did you know Johnny snores?)
I do not!
We LOVE the quilt on the sofa!
Mister Maui, in a rare moment of repose.
It's so warm and snuggly.
The Baby dreams about George the Lizard.
And Spitty.
In fact, Rupert now sits on Mommy's lap every night, and CC has been sitting by her for tummy rubs.
Truly a Magic Quilt for all.
Happy Saturday, Kitties!

Pee Ess: In answer to a lot of your comments, Salem did NOT whizz whilst she was incarcerated. She claims she slept most of the time. She has the tiniest petite "mew" so Mommy & Daddy never heard her!
Also, we are going to fire Mommy soon if she doesn't help us visit our friends and comment. We hope to be back to full speed by Sunday.
And finally, once again, Mommy would like to thank Captain Morgan for his fine Rum!

Sounds like you kitties should keep the quilt for yourselves! Or maybe your mum should make you each your own one.....
ReplyDeleteI love that! Our old cat Scoop got his own comforter on his own chair just the way your kitties got theirs! now Au and Target have appropriated a towel that was being carried from the downstairs laundry to our bathroom.
ReplyDeleteMomcat, you know that quilt is draped on that couch to stay, don't you?
ReplyDeleteThe Baby! I cannot resist your sleepy little face. And when I read about Salem's dainty little mew I was filled with longing for her to sing to me!
That IS a magic quilt!
ReplyDeleteI quite like cat furs on the bed. But I understand that the Male does not...
ReplyDeleteSeems like your mom got no choice ! Cat furs will stick to her chap-sticked lips tonight for sure : ) You all just have to be quite, and let's see tonight : )
ReplyDeleteResult. Your mom will soon realise that the best way to save energy is just to give everything to you anyway.......
ReplyDeleteIt seems to us that effurrybuddy shud have a quilt like that on their sofa.
ReplyDeleteHave a great snuggly weekend guys!
hehe, you guys look like you are having a lovely time sleeping on that quilt :)
ReplyDeleteOooo, I love the idea of the quilt on the sofa! Especially since it helps you all get right to work getting your fur right back on it.
ReplyDeleteWe love blankies, too! We have them scattered everywhere. Mommeh finally put a couple of them away.
ReplyDeleteOooh, perfect for the sofa! You sure didn't waste any time refurring it, did you?
ReplyDeleteAwwww kitties of Katnip Lounge!!! Me and Charlie think your have the nicest furrs ever and mum and dad are lucky to be given such precious discarded furrs!! LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE your magic quilt! We think it suits all of you best and is wasted on mum and dad! LOL!
Awwww but mum and dad are lovely!! And we also salute Captain Morgan too!
Sweet Rupert - we love your very subtle neck stripes!! Is that adorable CC you're snoogling with???
Gorgeous Johnny - we think it's Captain Morgan who snores! LOL!
Awww Mr Maui!!! Your floofy furrs will add more class to that magic quilt!
And might The Baby!! You are a fierce warrior (poor George!!) :-) And pray who is Spitty?!?!?! We are intrigued!
Take care and have a fantastic Saturday!!!
x
What a great idea! Why didn't your Mom think of that before? And why doesn't she like furry lips?? What's up with her? Anyway, enjoy the quilt!
ReplyDeleteWow that quilt really is magical! I am sorry you were in prison Salem.
ReplyDeleteMorning Fav Dozen...I, Madi, think our moms might share DNA...my mom doesn't like lovely cat hair on her lips either...BUTT it is her fault...she always tries to snuggle after applying chapstick.
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday,
Madi and Mom
That looks like a awesome quilt. We is so glad you has some comfy place to lay- cause your house has so few places for ktties to have a nice nap... *snickers*
ReplyDeleteMy mommy laff n laff at the Captain Morgan shout-out!
My mom gets my furs on her lips too when she applies the chapstick and then starts kissing mt furs all over!
ReplyDeleteRupert, that subtle pinstriping on your neck just rocks! WHEW! I have a red fleece lall my own on top of mom's blankie if you'd like to share for awhile.
I guess we know who the quilt belongs to now!!
ReplyDeleteWhat's up with the mums not liking furry lips? They should be grateful we share our furrs with them. Sounds like Captain Morgan is doing a good job. Maybe 'he' will help out for Meow Like a Pirate Day.
ReplyDeleteWe like layers of blankets. The more, the betterer!
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing which acts as a better cat magnet, than something placed in a new location!
ReplyDeleteThere are 2 cats that live here with me, Chloe Grace & Moe Ling. Similiar to some of your names. Our tiny tortishell cat Moe snores like a trucker. She even wakes my mom person up in the night sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI just made a post about sleeping on a quilt on my Daily Oskar blog! My grandma makes quilts for us, so we have lots & love them even more.
Thank you for joining Pet Blogs United! My mom person will send you an e-mail soon.
Nubbin' wiggles,
Oskar
What a lovely, comfy-looking quilt!
ReplyDeleteI have the same problem with cat hairs on chapsticky lips. I'm pretty sure Melly knows when I've just applied the stuff, because she always comes right over and rubs against my face.
Quilts are great!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe're happy to see that Salem had no ill effects from your imprisonment yesterday.
Love to all of you.
I'm gonna look online for a magical quilt, that would go over pretty well here too!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't your mom know that all quilts belong to the kitties?
ReplyDeleteWell, the whole house is for your benefit, so if you decide you want a quilt on the couch, by all means, keep it there!
ReplyDeleteDid your mommy put it on the sofa to save energy from drying the quilt or save your energy by napping on it? We think she was wanting you all to save your energy!
ReplyDeleteOur mommy has a problem with furry lips too. We don't understand what the problem is either.
Ah the magic quilt. There is one in this house, too. It moves around the house so the kitties find it in various places. What fun!
ReplyDeleteLooks like Mommy needs to buy her own quilt and hide it when she isn't using it. But good job all you kitties that didn't let that clean quilt stay clean but 30 seconds. Do get your furs all over it. Great pictures of all of you on the quilt. We would like to come share it with you. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteOur mom gave up and just decided dat cat fur adds extra fiber to her diet...
ReplyDeleteOur mom hangs stuff outside to dry when it's nice, even in da winter if it's above freezing (which isn't furry offen), and in da basement. It saves energy, money and da clotheses.
It's a beautiful quilt and sure has a magical power!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
cat furs are good. Your mom could make sweaters for the whole family too.
ReplyDeletebonks for a happy week-end.
we are also loving the cooler weather
There is nothing more enticing than a quilt or a blankie or sheet spread out where it does not belong.
ReplyDeleteLike a kitty magnet!
Pee Ess...
ReplyDeleteOur mom is having a relationship with a fellow named Jim Beam. Maybe she & Jim & your Mom and her Captain could get together sometime.
That quilt is a PURR-FECT spot for napping!! We think your Mom should leave it there ALL the time!! Our Mom doesn't use our sofa to dry her bedding - she uses the stair banister, (but we use her bedding when we gets the up-chukkers & she has to wash it ALL the time!! MOL!!!) - not a great place to lay, but it works really well to hide from each other!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!!
~Nico, Simon & JayJay :)
ps. Simon: May Ling, your last made me *blush*!! I think you're the prettiest girl in the world!!
Haha! That wasn't very smart of you mom to drape that quilt over the sofa like that. She had to know all you kitties would be sleeping on it in seconds flat of her doing that! We think she really does like furry lips.
ReplyDeleteGreetings everyone,
ReplyDeleteWe stopped by earlier this morning, but had to come back i order to leave a comment.
I felt a little envy cus you're having the wonderful quilt blanket to comfort you, especially since it is for the humans and so very big.
Maybe I can convince dad I need my own too.
Wishing you a wonderful Sunday,
Miss Kitty
Newly washed human sized blankets are the best to snuggle up in!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have had a super fun weekend!
xx Oscar
Oh, that quilt makes for a lovely background for some precious photos! Teri had to laff when she read the line about furrs and chap stick. Now that Sir Spoticus is in kitty heaven, there's not much fur sticking here...those Disco might change that now he has a 'body beard' as Pierro said!
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful magical quilt, all ready to be newly re-furred! and a great background to many great photos of you all, too.
