Cat Stacking

Kitties!

For a lot of our readers it's pretty gol-danged gosh-durned nasty outside.
Winter is here in the Desert, too.  We've had ten days of icky rain (!!!), with more to come, and this weekend it's supposed to get down to freezing temperatures.

Not at all like the HOTS we prefer.

So today we thought we'd help all y'all warm up by posting a picture of four of us, stacked up, soaking in the sunbeams.

Did it help?

Happy Tuesday!

  1. Thank You! We now feel even colder here! we cannot remember what sunbeams are- Äiti says She saw the Sun last week but it was not far above the trees. We might get to feel it on our furs in February. But we are finncats and can cope. You guys must really be suffering if it's heading towards zero (or whatever freezing is in silly units ). Keep warm.

  2. We vaguely remember what sunbeams feel like so appreciate your reminder. Hope you stay warm and dry there in your winter desert!

  3. We akshooally sawed da sun today. And what's really surprising is da weather bean sed it was gonna be almost 40 degrees later dis week. It's Wisconsin so dat means, after weeks of barely getting above 10 degrees, some silly bean will be outside in a t-shirt and shorts...we just hope dis time it is not our mom.

  4. Yep, the cold front is supposed to be here tomorrow with rain and wind and plummeting temps. Then heading East in your direction. The cat stack did make us feel warmer though!

  5. Actually, we scrolled down again to look at the pic-shers of Rupert and now we're all warmed up...:D

  24. Oh wow, we don't remember what sunbeams are like at all. It's been raining and dreary here for weeks! Our only how is that the temperature will drop so we can get some snow...vs. just being 40 degrees and miserable.

Thanks for the sunbeam picture! We feel better now!

  25. Sunbeams on fur always help when things are near freezing here!

  27. We haven't had any snow, and we desperately need the rain. We're actually going to be near 70 in a couple of days!

Thanks for your note about Kona Kitty. Fuzzy is not nervous to eat around Zoe - Zoe has been really REALLY good for Fuzzy after years of being picked on by the black beast. Fuzzy dropped a ton of weight when I quit feeding the kidney crunchies. I was considering going back to them, because it certainly won't hurt her to eat them. What are you feeding Kona Kitty?

  28. Postcard from Madi:
Dear Sylvester, Rupert, Salem and Felix,
Wishing I was there sharing your sunbeams!
    Sincerely,
    Madi
PS: I chuckled at your comment on my blog.

  29. With so many conflicting reports on what is 'good' food and what is 'bad' food, I certainly don't judge anyone on what they feed their cats. My cats ate Kit 'n Kaboodle for a million years before they got switched to kidney formulas, and they lived to be 16, 18 and at least 16 (Fuzzy). And I agree about the age - when they get to a certain and and lose some weight, even my vet says to feed them whatever they want. Thanks for your support and advice - you really do rock!
