Sick Mommy ManCat Monday

Kitties!

Sylvester here.


We had heavy duty nursing duties on Sunday!
Mommy got up at silly o'clock for work, and as soon as she stood up...WHAM...a migraine hit her.

So she took some medicine, fed us (we LOVE Mommy), called in sick to work (rare), and went back to bed and slept until 9:30 (even rarer!).  When she woke up she felt much better, prolly because we all piled on the bed and purred and purred for her head to feel better.

And our care didn't stop there, we took turns all day with her on the sofa, making sure she took it easy.  And kitties, that is harder work than you might imagine...because when Mommy gets a migraine she gets REALLY gassy, too.  But we made the sacrifice and she's all better now!

Now I need my rest.
I am all tuckered out.
This is MY heated box, and I keep MY nip Lemon in it.  The heaty pad warms up the nip it smells delightful.  (Unlike Mommy!)

The box is in the chair that Daddy would like to occupy.
Tough luck.

There's even a rolled up blankie in the chair crack to level out my bed.

Life is Good!

    We hear migranes are pretty nasty, so we are glad you all banded together and purred your Mommy back to health. So gas is a side effect of the migranes? Who knew?!

    You are so good to your mum and glad she is feeling better. My mum says she thinks she is mirroring your mum cause she is up at silly oclock for work as we speak and has had the worst night ever with not sleeping with a headache. Ouch she feels for your mum and sends love. Hugs GJ x

    So you are multitasking as nurses and caregivers -that must be exhausting (particularly in all the gases)- We hope you rest up properly in your recovery! And we really hope your Mom is okay - migraines sound nasty.

    I'm glad you took care of you mom! When Harley sits on our heated cat pad, he likes to use a catnip bananer for a pillow. It looks like a lemon pillow is good, too!

    You kitties are too kind. My mum used to get migraines but now she takes medication to stop it. So my duties as nurse are not required as often.

    Beautiful Sylvester!!! You are just so lovely!! Me and Charlie think you deserve that chair for looking after your poor mum!! We are so glad you and all the kitties of Katnip Lounge were there to help her with her migraine!! We are so glad she is feeling better now (and less gassy, we hope! LOL!). But seriously!     Sylvester, you guys did a great job nursing your mom! We're glad she feels better now, migraines are beyond awful (our mom gets them sometimes).

    I can't even begin to imagine the healing power if 13 kitties and their purrs! I'm glad you are feeling better :-)

    I get migraines too and they are awful. Molly used to lie on my pillow when I was having one and be my nurse cat.

    Our mom get migraines too and they are awful. Her Imitrex makes her all woozy so she usually has to sleep it off with our help too.
    Sylvester you are such a great cat! What a treasure you are to them and we know they made a great decision to bring you home to the Lounge.

    Oh thank goodness she had all thirteen of you to be on the bed and couch with her~! I know for a fact (and I am only one baby) that without my purrs, mom would be toast when she gets sick. Mommy may write a blog over at her place about that.

    Hope your mommy feels loads and loads better Sylvester, and that she's n longer bumping along the ceiling. Mommy told me to say that. I don't know why she's laughing or what she means!

    Oh, your poor Mommy! Migraines are no fun at all. How wonderful of all you kitties, and especially Sylvester, to wear themselves out taking care of her.

    Certainly a little reciproCATion is warranted considering all the tender love and care you get from Mommy every single day.

    It's fantastic to see you being the epitome of the spoiled cat, there, Sylvester -- considering that you were deprived of family life for a couple of years. You're sure making up for lost time!
