Kitties!
Sweet Pea here, reporting on happenings at the Katnip Lounge.
BREAKING NEWS!
The V-E-T called with the results of The Baby's blood work and pee tests, and everything came back normal. She is certainly feeling better today--and she hasn't yakked at all--but she's nowhere near her normal naughty self. Mommy has coaxed her to eat a few bites of tuna and temptations and junk food kibbles throughout the day, and she's lapped at the water bowl, too. As of now Mommy and Daddy are keeping an eye on her. The V-E-T said that the next step would be an X-ray to look for an internal obstruction, and if she starts yakking again it's back to the Horrible Place. The Baby DID poop yesterday (sorry!) so we know things are moving.
At least we know that other than feeling puny, The Baby is a healthy Kitty.
In other news, Mommy has decided to disable the word verification for now. We have readers who are unable to comment because of it, and that's just Not Right. We want to hear from EVERYBODY!
Except dirty, rotten, no-good spammers.
If we get a lot of spam, we'll have to re-enable it...but we're gonna think positive and hope we don't.
And in other OTHER news, we want to apologize for our lazy Mommy lack of commenting. And apparently we are going to be having company--the Grandpawrents are coming to visit us, which means we'll be busy busy busy playing! We think we'll get back to our regular commenting schedule in mid-April. In the meantime, if you suddenly feel the presence of thirteen (extra) Cats, it's just us lurking on your blog.
Happy Friday!

Thank you for that timely reporting, Sweet Pea, and may I say I have obviously been so distracted by some of your sisters that I am only now coming to appreciate your sultry beauty and come-hither stare.
ReplyDeleteBut I forget myself! I am thrilled to hear that The Baby is feeling somewhat better today. I think you should send your Mommy or Daddy right out to the store for some Gerbers though. That'll fix her right up!
Yay! I am so glad The Baby is okay! Worrying is no fun. Have a nice visit with the Grandpawrents!
ReplyDeleteSo good to hear that Baby is a little better today. Hope each day brings some improvement.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the grandpawrents.

ReplyDeleteGlad that Baby got good news and hope that she acts and feels better with it! And feel free to come hang out. You'll be back about the time the Woman leaves and turns off the computer and while Ichiro can turn on a light, he can't quite turn on the computer...
ReplyDeleteYay! So glad baby is doing better! Sweet Pea you are lovely! Fangs for the update!

It sounds like you kitties are going to be very busy over the next couple of weeks! I'm glad that The Baby's tests came back good, but I wonder what is causing her to be less than her troublesome self. Isn't it funny how humans get worried when we kitties cause LESS trouble?
ReplyDeleteWe are very pleased to hear the test results, but hope that The Baby keeps eating lots and feels 100% really soon.
ReplyDeleteAnd we are interested in how your new commenting regime will go - we wonder if we should remove the word verification thingy too - so keep us posted on spamming. Have a good time with the relatives ! Make sure they keep you amused.
So glad The Baby is doing better! Have fun with your guests.
ReplyDeletePurring now that we know The Baby is doing better and her results are normal.
ReplyDeleteWe disabled our word verification thingie, but we enabled comment moderation after a few days. That has helped keep nasty spammers away.
Grandpawrents are good. Grandpawrents are fun. That's what they are all about, so enjoy, have fun, parrrty, and take care. So glad the Baby has a good report. Take care of the Baby.
ReplyDeleteGreat weekend everyone.
Hey Pisi & Squeak are really happy to hear your good news! And we think you have a really pretty face, too! Hope the sun is shining where you are, so you can stretch out in it!
ReplyDeleteGlad dem tests camed out good, maybe yoo just ated a bad bug. Speedy gets an upset tummy when he eats bugs. Dat is why he kills dem and gives dem to Sadie to eat.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear the baby's test results came back normal and hoping it maybe is just a little tummy type short life virus. We'll miss you while your grandies are visiting but will enjoy it when you get back to posting.
ReplyDeleteWhew !!!... I feel relief after read the breaking news. But I still purrs for The Baby get back to her normal naughty self and I hope she eat more .And Claws Cross for the nest step.

ReplyDeleteOh Sweet Pea! What a beautiful sight! I hot tailed it here before I got locked up and now I will have sweet dreams until I get my freedom back.
ReplyDeleteWe are glad The Baby's results were normal and hope she soon feels better.
Mum says she uses comment moderation on any posts more than 2 days old and blogger seems to be picking up any on new posts, and that works well for her.
pee-ess
I can see I am going to have to keep an eye on Spitty Kitty.
Purrs Flynn
YAHOOOOO!!! I'm glad the Baby is doing well!!
ReplyDeleteWe're so glad the news on The Baby is good. Stay that way, girl!
ReplyDeleteWord verification is an odd thing. Sometimes, #1 just cannot read the word, so she leaves the field blank and clicks, and the next time around, it comes up in a much easier to read font!
Have a great weekend!
Purrs,
The Chans
I hope The Baby is feeling even better now! Mum says to put comment moderation on any posts three days old, as that's where the spam tends to go. Blogger is very good at picking up the new stuff.
ReplyDeleteWe are so happy that The Baby's noos is good! YAY! Have a great weekend.

Our busy Mom has prevented us from knowing that The Baby was feeling poorly, but we're happy that her tests were good and she is feeling a little better!
ReplyDeleteWe don't get spam anymore but we have disabled comments from 'anonymous' commenters. That seems to have worked for us!
Much love and purrs for The Baby. Our mommy's hate it when we get puny and sick on accounta we can't tell them what's wrong and we make them all play a guessing game. You get all better The Baby. Me and mommy loves you.

ReplyDeletePurrs for The Baby! We're glad the blood work is fine and that she pooped. Okay, the mom is glad about that...she has a fixation on poop now, crazy woman.
ReplyDeleteWe hope that whatever has been making The Baby feel poorly is gone and that she's back to her usual self.

ReplyDeleteps: We also added comment moderation for posts over 2 days old a long time ago. We found out that our old posts were getting loaded with Spam without our even knowing it!
We are glad ta hear the good news about Baby!
ReplyDeleteYou all have fun with the Grandparents...
Sweet Pea we are so glad that the Baby is alright...and that she seems to be getting back to her normal self.
ReplyDeleteWe are sure your Mom knows she can make anonymous posters have to go through approval by the administrator. That is what happens to all of our spam. We get so little from 'real' bloggers. It's always anonymous!

Oh, good luck with the verification off. We have pretty good luck with Bloggers spam filter, so I hope it works for you.
ReplyDeleteWell, we're glad The Baby got a good report from the vet!! Maybe she's just got a little bug or something that makes her feel punky.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time with the grandpawrents!
I'm so glad Baby is feeling better. Our Abbey was sick for several days a few weeks ago...it must have been a virus. Hopefully that's what was wrong with Baby and she's getting better.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Good new The Baby! Hope everything keeps moving appropriately.

ReplyDeleteWe are relieved to hear that The Baby's lab results came back OK. We hope that she is back to her normal self soon. It's hard when one of our babies is sick. Thanks for the kind words about Padre's dental surgery. Mom and Dad are now trying to get him to eat, but all he really wants are his crunchies back.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Padre, Panda Bear, Meerkat, Cookie, and Caramel (& Sunny and Sky)
Thank you for letting us know about The Baby, Sweet Pea! We're glad your sisfur seems to be alright. Heck, if we went to the V-E-T every time Domino yacked up, we'd be pauPURRs!
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's just finding the right food for her. Grain free is better for kitties with digestive problems -- even Domino throws up less now.
Thank you Sweet Pea for letting us know about The Baby. We're glad she seems to be alright and that 'things are moving'!
ReplyDeleteIf we went to the V-E-T every time Domino threw up, we'd be pauPURRs! It's been a life long problem for her. We have recently found that feeding her grain free kibble means she throws up less. I think when kitties get a little older, they start to have digestive problems.
