Kitties!
May Ling here, and I'm hunting MOTHS!
Yes, mothing season has begun on the Catio. Daddy put a Cat tree under the light for maximum mothage, and I got busy.
First I stretched to warm up.
Then I sat up like a prairie dog and waited for a moth.
SCORE! I spotted a moth!
I stunned him and he fell. Do you see how my eyes crossed following him down?
He roared back to life and tried to escape...
...but I was too fast!
::nibble nibble, munch munch::
Kitties, moths are YUMMY.
(they taste like insectile chicken!)
Y'all feel free to come over and hunt moths with us any evening...there's elebenty bazillion of 'em!
Happy Tuesday!
XX May Ling XX
pee ess: The Grands are coming today!
LOL! Yay!
ReplyDeleteCan I just come over to watch 'cause you are so pretty to look at. Hugs,Deb=^..^=x5
ReplyDeleteYour belly made mom squeee! I tried to tell her to be quiet so she won't scare off your moths.
ReplyDeleteThere are few things tastier than a nice, juicy, fluffy moth! They have not started to run at my house, but I am looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm, good! We don't get many moths here in the big foggy city (I hear tell they enjoy warmer climes) but still, about once a year a big juicy one strays into my path, and lets just say no moth has eaten *me* yet, MOL!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE moths! Soft on the outside, crunchy on the inside! Yum.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if we have moths here...
Mai Ling - you are really good at that job. I loves catching moths too. We had one in the house last night, but he stayed up by the ceiling so I couldn't get him.
ReplyDeleteWow. We have not done that (but we do like crunchy damselflies in summer). That set up your Daddy created is most excellent. Äiti was worried you might burn your paw close to that light but I told her you are a clever cat and she was being silly.
ReplyDeleteYour focus and concentration are admirable - especially the crossy eyes, hehehe. And your belly is just gorgeous. We were wondering though - were you quiet ? Is this the quietest you ever are ?
May Ling You look so sexy over there, Like dancing under the light ball : )
ReplyDeleteMoths are Yummy and Crunchy, And I'm not gonna miss this...Here I come !!!
Squeeze some room for me please : )
xoxo
We love moth season! You have excellent moth catching technique too May Ling!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your Grands!
Theese was an excellent demonstration of moth-catching! Neytiri will be visiting you because she studies insects and the moth is her favorite!

You are quite a mighty hunter! We do not have moths at my house very often, but Melly is a very adept hunter of spiders. Scarlett mostly watches. I loved your prairie dog pose!
ReplyDeleteYow! You have great skills, May Ling! Elebenty bazillion is a lot of moths...we'll be right over...save some for us...
ReplyDeletePip, Smidgen, Minnie, and Hollie
Wow that's a lot of months you got at your house - you all will be hunting for the whole season.

ReplyDelete-Fuzzy Tales
P.S. We noticed yesterday that your background colours have changed...or is our mom hallucinating? LOL.
Mom loves that tummy of yours!

That is hysterical, insectile chicken. It does sound yummy. May Ling, good job catching that moth. We love to catch them too. It is a lot of fun. Hope you have a great time with the Grands and that they bring you tons of treats. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteMy cats agree with you and you should also try spiders apparently they also have a very good taste !
ReplyDeleteA little protein on the wing, eh May Ling! NOM!
ReplyDeleteBet you get some whoppers there too! We love moths too. They're always getting in the house in the summer.
Mom thinks having her hisser out would help her headaches too. Especially since the doc says they are most likely hor-moan related.
We think chasin' moths on the catio would be great fun! We had one in the house once and mom said we "trashed the joint" trying to catch it.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the grands!
Oh the joys of mothing, y'all are going to have some big time fun!
ReplyDeleteOh Yes! Moth Season! Yous is a great catcher! Me should show this to Kozmo! We has some bugs out and me is teaching Kozmo how to catch them but yous is a PRO!!!
ReplyDeleteKisses

May Ling you are a great huntress and I think I could learn a thing or two from you. Last night we had a sucidal moth banging into our back door which is mostly glass. I kept running up to get it but alas I realized it was out and I was in and it was not to be.
ReplyDeleteMOL Madi
hi May Ling! Wow, we have missed seeing all of you! Mom is afraid of moths (she thinks she got it from her mom) and so we don't see them too often - so we would love to come and hang out and chase some with you, but you would have to show us the best technique. We do get to chase some bugs (spiders and flies mostly) but moths are pretty elusive at our place. We are very impressed with how quickly you took care of that one!
ReplyDeleteMay Ling, you are so darn adorable hunting those moths. We don't get many here, mostly flies instead. Would you like to trade?
ReplyDeleteWe love moth season too! but May Ling you definitely have catcing and crunching moths down to a fine art. What finesse!
ReplyDeletethe critters in The Cottage
Moths are yummy and you have the perfect moth catching spot there. I wish I could come join you.. Hugs GJ xx
ReplyDeleteOh you are a lovely huntress! Have fun with the grands!
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles,
Oskar
Our moths havent woke up yet. We just have a wasp an a few stink bugs so far. We want something we can safely EAT!
ReplyDeleteWHOA! It's just like an episode of Catzilla vs. Mothra!
ReplyDeleteWe bet those are very fun to hunt...and very tasty!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh May Ling
ReplyDeleteYOU are a master moth"er"!!!
We are in awe at your skill.
We all have much to learn. We've never hunted moths before.

ReplyDeleteAlex likes to snack on moths, but he still likes a nice crunchy spider the best!
ReplyDeleteWatch out you're not blinded by that light, darling!
ReplyDeleteWe've never had moths before! They do sound yummy! We only get spiders and an occasional ant that comes wandering by...
ReplyDeleteGreat! You´re excelent moth-catching!
ReplyDeleteWonder if we can make it a catalympics event?
