Felix here, reporting for Shabby Chic Day!
Our fabulous Pals Milo & Alfie announced that April 11 is officially the day where we Cats celebrate our home destruction decorating skills.
As you might expect, with thirteen Cats living here at the Lounge, there's not many things that we haven't "modified" via tooth and claw and yak. But the other Cats said I could show off my Art in particular, because my tricky knee was the reason Mommy started blogging, and today is--you guessed it--our
FIRST BLOGAVERSARY!!!!
So on to my Shabby Chic piece...
A couple of years ago, Mommy and Daddy bought a futon-type furniture Thingy for the spare room for guests to sleep on. Guests came and they slept on it. Daddy napped on it, and Mommy laid on it and read books. It seemed innocuous.
But Kitties, this Futon Thingy offended me mightily. It was covered in NAUGAHYDE! Fake leather! Artificial cow!
It was more than my CrankyPantz could bear.

I set to work, clawing on the sides. Daddy put clear tape over my work, so I moved to the top. Then SomeCat delivered the coup de gras and tinkled on it (Thank Cod!) and it was moved out to the Catio where I've been able to really Shabbify it! It's so gratifying to see the fluffy polyester innards ooze out of the gaping wounds in it's faux hide.
Now if you'll excuse me, I see a spot I missed...

Oh oh oh! Your BLOGOVERSARY? The Human and I are shocked, I tell you, SHOCKED! When we found you, we thought you must've been blogging like FOREVER since you were so good at it, but you started only a few days before we did! So it'll have to be a kind of joint celebration Thursday. I can't wait for Grayce to "show" me her fangs, heh heh.

Happy Blogoversary! Wow, it seems like we'z known yoo guys fureffur. Good job on da shabbying of da foo-ton. We did dat to da couch, it made dad mad. Mom neffur really liked da couch any way. Mom found something to cover it dat is purrty and dat maked both mom and dad happy, see, we were thinking of dem all along.
