Kitties!
One favorite thing we're thankful for is our fleece-lined box tops. The tops are from paper ream boxes, Mommy brings them home from work. They are supposed to be for Daddy's business because they hold four rows of cassette tapes perfectly--BUT--they hold one feline even better!
Daddy has several boxes in his office. You can see that they fit Cats of all sizes...Small(ish), Medium, and...
LARGE.
Thank Cod cardboard has some give to it.
Mommy sews the fleece liners to fit the tops, and she puts a folded towel underneath the fleece so our little Cat bodies are properly cushioned and coddled.
Daddy, who is the arty one around here, ordered the fun fabric off the innernets!
Some of the box tops have heaty pads in them, which is only right and fitting. Although the one by the sofa is an unheated location. Which is OK by Johnny--with such thick fur he gets too hot.
We occasionally reward Mommy and Daddy's efforts with a little Extreme Cuteness.
(Not to be confused with Everyday Cuteness.)
Extreme Cuteness is exhausting, so we don't do it too often. Also, it doesn't pay to spoil your Peeps.
Sweet Dreams, John...
What are YOU thankful for?
Happy Thursday!

We are impressed by the fleece-lined box top beds! But we will stick with the big waterbed, and the cat trees. Yours are sure prettier though!
ReplyDeleteWow, those boxtop liners are wonderful and so nice to have multiples of them for various cats. Look so cozy and comfy.
ReplyDeleteHow cool that you included instructions! Now if only I can pull my human away from the computer to make them!
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea! I am in love with the last picture. that little paw hanging over is precious!!
ReplyDeleteYellow submarine Fleece! That is cool! Plus paper box lids! Your Mommy and Daddy really knows how to give cats what they want!

Here's a possible lazy version - find a pillowcase with fabric you like and slide it over the box and squish it down. It won't be as pretty as this, but would probably work.
ReplyDeleteThread the heat pad cord out the open end.
Wow, we love your box tops and are going to have a word with our mummy about the disturbing lack of heated beds at our house!!!
ReplyDeleteWe love the boxes. we also have many of these box tops but have never thought of lining them with anything for the amigos. Its a great idea that we are gong to try out asap.
ReplyDeleteWe think you all are extremely cute every day! Those lined box tops are pawesome too! We'll show our grandma in Las Vegas the instructions since our mommy can't sew anything.
ReplyDeleteWow, those cat beds are pawsome. The mom will have to try it out even though she HATES sewing. Maybe we will ignore them when she's done...or set the house on fire.
ReplyDeleteYou are very lucky kitties!
ReplyDeleteI am very nearly blinded by the Extreme Cute-titudes of these pictures, but not so blinded that I don't see those cool boxtops and wonder why the Human doesn't make some of those for ME.
ReplyDeleteWe'z thankful for your fantastic floofy self, Johnny! Love ya buddy. (PS: Theese boxes are pretty cool too.)
ReplyDeleteAwww, love the Extreme Cuteness!
ReplyDeleteWhat am I thankful for? Your cute pictures!
Your Mommy sure is handy with those hands of hers. We love the way she turned those simple and plain looking cardboard box tops into something so pretty and cat friendly. Love those pictures of LARGE Tiny Johnson. MOL.
ReplyDeleteOK that's it! When I die, I want to come back as a cat and live with you. And I want my own box please. In fuchsia.

My mum is swooning at the Extreme Cuteness. Me, I'd like to see CC do Extreme Cuteness too.
ReplyDeleteI got totally lost around step 5a and had to have a lie down (with statutary cat accompaniment) I am impressed nonetheless and now feel inferior with regard to heating pads! I have always insisted human thigh is all the heating Austin needs! Was I mistaken?
ReplyDeleteThose definitely are worth being thankful for! You have the best humans on the planet, guys, we hope you realize that. :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Solstice!
it's too bad your dad doesn't sell eight track tapes. i bet those boxes would be even plusher.
ReplyDeleteJohnny and Gang, your peeps are so creative! That is some fun, cuddly fabric, and you guys look EXTREMEly cute lying in there!
ReplyDeleteThat is a much better use for those box tops!!!
ReplyDeletePerfect size for all and cushy/cozy at the same time! You've got it made!
ReplyDeleteI love your boxes... maybe my mom should do one for me.
ReplyDeleteWhat are we thankful for? You. For your loving care of more cats than we can imagine in one place. For your wit. For your pictures. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYour kitties are some of the most pamPURRed we've ever seen! You are very special beans indeed. Most folks don't spoil even a single cat as much as you do your thirteen.
ReplyDeleteI must say you certainly have your PURRiorities straight!
Merry Christmas to you all, efurry one!
Mum read this and showed us and then we heard her offering prayer saying "thank goodness I don't have any box lids". Is she hard hearted or what!!
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Heating pads! You have heating pads! We need to have a word with our human...
ReplyDeleteHey you! Did you see this:

Synchronicity!
I think fleece lined boxes would be a good idea as my two manically shred the bases out of any cardboard boxes we leave for them! A New Year's project for me perhaps. xx
ReplyDeleteThose do look very comfy. It's a shame that #1 is so totally useless with a needle...
