We Are Ready (and Dressed) for Some FOOTBALL!

Kitties!

GO BEARS!

OK, we know that they are prolly gonna lose...after all, the quarterback Jay Cutler has a broken thumb and wide receiver Johnny Knox is out injured, too.
Still, we aren't fair weather fans--we root for our team no matter what!

Daddy got us this fan-bandana a couple of days ago and we've all been scrimmaging to wear it.

There's a long-winded funny story about how we got our Bears bandana...

Mommy and Daddy went out for Greek food.  Now, the only good Greek restaurant by us is at the mall, believe it or not...and right next to the food court is a sports memorabilia store.

So naturally they went in to look!

The store didn't have anything either of them wanted, and nothing for US, either.

Understandably, we were NOT heartbroken by this turn of events.

Because something else was occupying our attention, we were almost OUT of kibble.
(Never mind that there were three cases of stinky goodness in the garage, running out on kibble is a Cational Emergency!)

Daddy rescued us from starvation by going to the pet food store.

He had totally forgotten about a bandana for us until he was in line and the guy ahead of him bought one for his *gasp* D-A-R-G...so of course then he remembered.

Some of us were less than impressed, heh heh.

Happy Sunday!

  1. Thank Cod the humans here loathe all sports - a sporty bandana is one thing that will NEVER encircle my neck!

Sadly, that's probably the ONLY thing I never have to wear!

  2. All my girls and boys are in the 'less than impressed' group when it comes to dressing up for a game, of for anything. The are very happy with the 'clothes' they were born with.

Great pictures though. And I like the 'story' too. If I am not mistaken you have re'arranged the sun room furniture in the header have you not? Just love that room by the way. Back a few years if I had had that room I would have had much fun building the trees and the 'furniture' and the Small One would have had a ball painting.

Thanks for the visit to our place. Be safe, stay warm and dry, and be always happy. Come when you can.

  4. Wearing OUR teams bandana would be a mark of humiliation... We dont mind if they lose, but when they are complete dedded mousies, thats too much to take.

We remember one year so bad a "fan" put up a fake season's game results, having them lose to college, then high school teams, finally routed by the "Little Sisters of the Poor"! MOL!

  5. I am dismayed on so many fronts, I hardly know where to begin.

First, uh, the '49ers? They are closer, they are winning, they are the Right Team for All Right-Thinking Humans to Root For.

Next, a bandana???? Seriously? After the Jaunty Scarf and the Sparkly Hat? Your People need help, Kitties.

Finally, The Baby? What did they *do* to you, Darling, that resulted in your enduring this humiliation? Surely, it must have been something against the Geneva Convention.

This calls for a coordinated effort to retaliate. Perhaps an Occupy Action is in order--Daddy's Desk? Mommy's bed? The Kitchen????

  12. Nice bandana guys, you look very dapper, but what is this 'football' ? Is this a game where a round ball is kicked across a pitch and no one is allowed to touch it with their hands because it is FOOTBALL ? Like we will be watching football later when Äiti's team will hopefully be putting lots of balls in a net. Or is this some strange game with weird shaped balls that get thrown around a lot and touched down with hands? We can play football - proper sort - but can any of you guys play YOUR sort. MOL, hehehehehe.

  21. No way would we ever be as patient to allow our Mom to put clothes on us. We'd make mincemeat out of her.

And if we ran out of kibble, we'd make her pay...hehehe

    Go Bears!

  36. The Shepherd says the game is tied at 0-0 right now - there 's still time for your boys :-)

Did the mom & dad make something yummy with all those lemons? I'd see a lemon pie and some lemon sauce with bread pudding and some really good lemonaide and maybe a big glass of lemon-ice tea -

Hope you all have a great holiday season! T.

  37. It's nice that all of you take turns wearing the bandana! Our team lost again this week which was expected but we still root for them too.

    ReplyDelete
  38. We got a laugh at all of you modeling the bandana. Though we have to say that we'd have bought a Packers one here. . .

    ReplyDelete
  39. Oh ye of little faith -- last we heard they were still in the running. And how would we know that, loathing or at least misunderstanding football as we do so completely over here?? Answer: What Bugs requires, Bugs gets. I showed him how to use the internet. I wonder if that was entirely wise. Time will tell.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Wow - was there actually a picture of each and every one of you in that bandana? Your humans have a lot so patience and stick to it ive ness.

Mom is too lame to know if your team won or not, but it is fun to see you all as fans.

Sorry to see the Bears LOST again, but it made our mom very happy. She was even more happy that the PACKERS are 13-0! We had to scamper a couple of times while the game was playing. All that jumping and yelling... Our mom can get really loud!

    ReplyDelete
  49. That's given Mummy some ideas. Time to hide in the storeroom under the stairs...
