Furriends on Friday!

Kitties!

Felix here, and I have a favor to ask.
Some of you may remember that two years ago I tore the tendon that holds my kneecap in place.   It was pretty painful and I moaned when I walked; that's how Mommy and Daddy knew I had hurt myself.

They carted me off to the vet and I had knee surgery to fix my luxated patella, the nice Lady Vet (with the soft hands and Aussie accent) fixed me all up.
This is my knee the day I came home.  (The thingy on my tummy is a pain patch.)  I was a Good Patient and didn't have to wear the Cone of Shame--I didn't nibble at my stitches (OK, maybe one) and I took it easy on my leg in my private recovery room for two weeks.  The hardest thing--besides my hurty leg--was squatting to poop.  Sorry if that's too much information!

ANYWAY, our friend Coco from Curlz and Swirlz had the same thing happen to HER knee!
Coco's Mom Teri took her to the vet and she had knee surgery too--Coco is recovering really well--but Mom Teri could use a little help with the surgery cost.

Right now there's an auction to help out:  click HERE to check it out!
There's a ChipIn button on the page, too, even a couple of dollars helps.  It all adds up, kitties.

Thanks!
It's nice to be part of such a great group of friends.

Happy Friday!

  1. Luxated patellae are NO FUN. I had one and was a very brave little mancat about it, and Aila-sisko had TWO - thankfully only one needed surgery. And she was pretty brave too. Don't tell anyone, but I still have a little limp now because of it....... You are a very generous mancat, Felix to advertise this good cause. We are off to the blog now.............
By the way, do you have any lingering problems now, or are you tip top and back to original working order ? No pooping positioning issues we hope ?

  14. Not tmi at all. It's good for people to realize what kitties go through in terms of pain and the same inconveniences people do.
