Look Who's Coming to Dinner!

Sweet Pea here.

Guess who's been "visiting" us?
The pigeons!
Daddy has been feeding them again to keep us amused.

Check 'em out!

The Baby and May Ling are trading recipes...

...the favorite so far is Roasted Squab with Meow Mix stuffing!
Mr. Blue (on the left) is dancing with excitement with the anticipation of being our...erm...dinner "guest".

Mrs. Brown is back and she brought a new pigeon with her that we've never seen before.

Mommy calls him (her?--we have no idea what sex these pigeons are) Sir Speckles.
She is so original.

Daddy also put out a watering station.  Look at how Mrs. Brown is that what peeps mean by "pigeon-toed?
ha ha ha ha!

Drink up, Mrs. Brown, we kitties hate dry stuffing.

Hmmmm, she must not have a good sense of humor...

The End!

Happy Thursday!

  1. We think Mrs. Brown is flipping you the bird!
...still laughing at the dry stuffing line!!!
    ; )
    Katie & Glogirly

  2. What a great dad to provide that kind of entertainment! Those pigeons look like they flew in from NYC. Do they have an accent?

  3. Looks like you got the bum of disrespect on that last one! How very delectable!

  4. Oh Sweet Pea--You are the Furry Face of Feline Death lurking there behind that grill! You're skeery, MOL!

  5. Mr Blue looks like the family we have next door. I have a great view from my window. I wonder if they'd want to come and over FOR dinner...

  6. WE would consider that a mild form of torture. We can handle seein birdies at the feeder in the yard, but up close that would be TOO hard.

  7. Wow! We haven't seen birds that big before. We have some little finches flying around our front porch this week.

    Truffle and Brulee

  8. We would go nuts! Come on, how do you manage to stay inside with that going on ? By the way, to tell which sex they are, Äiti says you have to watch carefully and it's the boy pigeons who climb on top. They can then be eaten. You have to wait with the girls because in a few weeks they will be producing really tasty little snacks for you.

  9. That is awfully nice of your dad to feed the birds to keep you amused. And it works out well for the birds too, although I'm surprised they're not unnerved by 13 pairs of feline eyes staring at them. I guess they ARE bird-brained, though. Heh.

  10. OMC Meow Mix Stuffing!! MOL!!!!!

Those birds ARE seriously trusting of that metal mesh... anyone got a hole clawed through it yet?

  11. I am thinking that they are REALLY stuffed with Meow Mix

  12. Keep feeding Meow Mix to those birds, and they'll start meowing soon :)

  13. Is that pigeon giving you kitties the back of disrespect?! How rude!

  14. Those pictures have us chattering at the screen! Our mum chased our pigeons away when we lived in Sydney because a whole flock moved in and started crapping everywhere. We have two doves at our house now and they are much more polite.

  15. he he - those pictures are great. What time is dinner - I'll be over. I love roasted pigeon!

  16. Awwww what fun Bird TV for you adorable Sweet Pea! These are great pics of beautiful pigeons!! Yay! take care

  17. OMC! Our human says we'd probably have a stroke if we had birdies that close to us! So much temptation!

  18. You sure have yummy Bird-TV at your place now!

  19. Trading recipes, ha ha ha! You guys continue to make me laugh.

  20. LOL, Meow Mix stuffing!!

THose pigeons are TAUNTING YOU KITTIES!

  21. We are banned from feeding pigeons here. Maybe ours headed west to you?

  22. Oooh! You were goosed by a pigeon in that last one. Quite an achievement :)

  23. She's mooning you! That darn pigeon is mooning you!

Wonder who Mrs. Browns boy toy is? Perhaps a young'un?

  24. oh the pigeons, good signs of Spring!
I also like to be near the window here in my place and watch the birds outside!
    Wonderful shots!
    Luna - WE LOVE LUNA

  25. Those look like they are FUN to watch! Cool!

  26. That's so fun! Pigeons are so adorably silly. :)

  27. *sigh* we don't gots pidjuns, just mean bluejays and cardinals dat won't ever come close. We do haf a cuppul of morning doves dat are to cute to be considered noms...and huge crows, really, dey are as big as Zippy!

  28. Alas, I have no recipes as I don't eat junk food.

Now, if you were to ask about recipes for House Sparrow Stew; Phoebe Pot Stickers; Purple Finch Flambe or even once a very looooong time ago, Meadowlark Melange... Well, I can help you there.

    Ms. Stella O'Houligan

  29. Mmmmmmm...they look so tasty! Even with a little melted butter for dipping. ;)

  30. Our Mom puts cracked corn out for the Mourning Doves and they invited their city cousins(pigeons) to come and dine :/
    Your pigeons are pretty.
They are entertaining to watch.Wish we could play with them ;) heh, heh, heh
    Purrs Tillie and Georgia,
    Tiger,Treasure and JJ

  31. At first I thought you were inviting me to dinner with you Sweet Pea. I would love to share a pigeon with you.
    Purrs Flynn

  32. Now that is some delightful dinner entertainments.... errrr... maybe I should reword that... ;)
