Kitties!
Scouty here, snuggling with Johnny on the couch.
I love my big brother, even though he humps me. Or maybe because he humps me. I'll never tell.
Anyway, the other night we were cozied up on Mommy's sherpa blankie when Daddy lumbered by.
Should I stay or should I go?
Daddy makes me nervous. Mommy makes me nervous, too.
Actually, everybody makes me nervous, on account of I'd be so tasty stewed.
Daddy looked a little peckish so I made my escape!
Discretion is the greater part of valor, you know.
Happy Thursday!
XX Scouty XX
Scouty, you are just like Lewis-veli who runs as soon as any human comes close. We don't think he would taste good stewed, and nor would you. But we know sometimes it is better to trust our feline friends than our human servants. Even if they like to climb on top of us at times (not that anyone does that to me of course......)
ReplyDeleteOh Scouty, I love how you use Johnny as a pillow... perhaps a humping pillow :)
ReplyDeleteWould you not be fishy tasting?
ReplyDeleteBest to go wif that "gut" instinct! We don't think you would be very tasty, though. Humpy, mebbe. Tasty, no.
ReplyDeleteIt is always better to be safe. Personally I never trust the Male.
ReplyDeleteI'm so with you, Scouty. I know once in awhile, I betray my feral roots, but only rarely and only when I'm not quite myself. Mostly, I am JUST LIKE YOU. Peeps are pretty scary. The Human has had waaaaay too many Introodurs, um okay "visitors", lately and I really do think some of them want to eat me. Best to keep our distance.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you would have felt better, Scouty, if you had gone to live with a pair of vegetarians!
ReplyDeleteAwwwww Scouty i'm pretty sure they would never make stew out of you. You do look very cute snuggling up there :)xx
ReplyDeleteAs long as you don't fall for their "fatten Scouty up" trick, you *should* be safe from the stewpot...
ReplyDeleteMy myopia had you writing "Direction is the greater part of valour (well, I also see everything through the lens of Brit Eng.) Anyway, got to thinking and reckon that myopia is the greater part of humour ;)
ReplyDeleteAwwww sweet Scouty!! Don't you worry! Lovely not so Nekkid Johnny will protect you from crazypants mum and dad! LOL! Take care
ReplyDeletex
it's good to have a hump buddy.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you were having a good snuggle. Have a great day kitties.
ReplyDeleteNigel is convinced he's going to be stewed too! Scouty...guess what buddy...it's NEVER gonna happen!
ReplyDeleteJunior has the same issue - better to run than be stewed!!
ReplyDeletePoor Scouty, it must be difficult always being on the alert for stewing!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's best to be safe and not sorry Scouty.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Aw, Scouty. Would you be skairt of us too? We would LOVE to snuggle you.
ReplyDeleteSmart choice, Scouty. You look far cuter in your current undigested state.
ReplyDeleteSmart choice Scouty !
ReplyDeleteYou never know with 2-legged , just look what happened to me !
I got a lousy T-shirt dragged over my head :(
I think you should give in and give Dad a chance!
ReplyDeleteScouty, trust yer two humans. I trust my human, but no one else. I run and hide when other beans are around. Donchya think they'd have stewed ya by now if they were goin to? (Ya still need to keep an eye on yer humans and the PTU's though!)
ReplyDeleteWe're with you on the humans. Truffle is a little more skittish, but Brulee tends to like everyone.
ReplyDeleteTruffle and Brulee
Horrors, Scouty! Does your mom or dad ever say 'I'm so hungry I could eat a cat!'? My mom does. I'd RUN if I were you!
ReplyDeleteScouty, one of these days you're going to discover how nice it is to be touched! You are just so handsome too!
ReplyDeleteOh Scouty, don't worry. Your dad and mom are not going to eat you! The snuggling photo is so cute. I hope you got together with Johnny later again and had nice snuggling time :-)
ReplyDeleteScouty...when in doubty, get outy!!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo series.
Hugs Madi
You might wait until you hear the stewpot being placed on the stove before you vamoose! That way you can keep your warm spot if it's a false alarm.
ReplyDeleteDiscretion is all in this situation... hhehehehe!
ReplyDeleteOh SCOUTY!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
so true... never push ones luck.. We love visiting, Love Helen, Darcy and Bingley xxx
ReplyDeleteWe think maybe you can hang around for your 'rents though. They seem like good eggs.
ReplyDeleteYour brother didn't even wake up so how scary could your human be?
ReplyDeleteHmmm, we wouldn't hang around either if there was a chance we'd get stewed.
ReplyDeleteI agree with tThe Chans...Oh SCOUTY! Quit that. I am delectable, My furs shine like the sun, and my delectable little sides and flanks tempt a fork to probe for tenderness BUT I know mom won't. I just know she won't. YOU should know YOUR mom won't eat you up either.
ReplyDeleteScouty, peoples make me a little nervous too...you were smart to make your retreat...that's what I woulda done...hump or no hump.
ReplyDeleteZoey
