Kitties!
CC here.
Our brave and intrepid friend Savannah gave us another award!
Thank you SO much!
We are gonna be Totally Rebellious and entirely ignore all the rules attached with this award.
Instead, I'm going to tell you an Inspirational thing that happened to me this past week!
You may (or may not) know that my full sibling Scouty and I were once feral and came indoors late in our kittenhood for taming. Scouty still harbors a fear of being touched, but I've been able to get past that and allow Mommy and Daddy to pet me. In fact, I love to be petted and groomed, (especially at bedtime) and if Mommy spanks my bottom I'm in heaven.
Now, Mommy is a Certifiable Certified Cat Sniffer.
To her there's nothing better than burying her face in our fur and having a good long sniiiiiiifffffff. She can tell us apart by smell alone--except for Scouty, of course (The Stew Pot Conspiracy)--and recently, me. Even though I love attention, I d0n't like faces close to me. But the other evening while Mommy was loving on me when we were in bed I got super-duper blissed out. Mommy decided it was now or never, so she leaned in and went for my tender white belleh meat! And I let her.
That's right, after five years I finally let Mommy snorgle my tummy!
And I liked it.
A lot.
I didn't freak out that her head was next to me and that she was humming and huffing on my tum-tum. I laid back and took it like a Mancat, purring my tail off.
Mommy says I smell wonderful, and it was well worth the wait. I know one thing, I can't wait to get snorgled again! Hopefully tonight.
Is it bedtime yet?
Happy Thursday!

Boy, I'm glad I let you come forward, first. My Mommy likes to smell me, too. Not A smell, but My smell. I thought she was totally froot-loops. I say just lay back and enjoy it. Way to get your snorgle on!
ReplyDeleteAwwwww! You know, it's those long hoped for breakthroughs that mean the most! Happy snorgling!
ReplyDeleteOh how nice for you and your mommy
ReplyDeleteThat's so sweet CC! We hope one of these days Scouty discovers how nice it is to have your mommy pet him too!
ReplyDeleteI love to smell my kitties fur, too! How wonderful you let your mommy give you snorgles! Now if we can just do something about Scouty...
ReplyDeletePatience, CC, we humans can be very patient with our pets, and it is worth it! I am so happy for you, and for your Mum!
ReplyDeleteSmoochies to all of you,
looloo
Oh, happy day!
ReplyDeleteAwww - I like sniffin cats furs too - now I know I'm in good company. Sometimes George smells like fresh air and pine trees - but I can always tell when he's been hanging out in the barn - he smells like hay! Ha ha - Good for your momma at surprisng you with the snorgle. T.
ReplyDeleteWe're so happy for your mama's snorggle! And concats on your award!! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhenever I visit my BFF I snorgle her furries too!!! There's nothing quite like a cat's scent which is very, very, addictive...
ReplyDeleteOkay, so you have come out of the closet as a snorgled puss. Your secret is safe with us. We are a bit more restrained but do salute Tuomo-veli who will allow a snogrle and then impact four paws, claws out around the snorgler's head! He did that once, to our friend the vet! The bood was dripping......
ReplyDeleteOMC! Rumblemum sniffs us too! She thinks we put on kitty cologne when she's not looking...
ReplyDeleteCC, honestly, I think that is a little weird. I am not feral and I still don't want my human anywhere near my tummy. It's bad enough she kisses me on the head. Bleagh!
ReplyDeleteAwwwww cute CC!!! Yay for tummy snorgles from mum!! Enjoy! Take care

After five years, I bet your Mommy was pretty thrilled about this. :) I know it must have taken you a long time to trust hoomans, but you picked the right ones, so relax and enjoy the belleh-love!
ReplyDeleteCC your peeps did one fine job of taming you. In today's pictures you look like one laid back loose as a goose 100% housecat.
ReplyDeleteHugs Madi
CC, we bet your human mom was over the moon with happiness at that. And we hope you let her snorgle your belly again soon!
ReplyDeleteSome of us love snorgling.. we are glad you do now!
ReplyDelete~ The Bunch
glad the blessed day finally arrived. no comment on the spanking.
ReplyDeleteWe are glad (is that the right word) to hear that we aren't the only ones who sniff cats. . .
ReplyDeleteoh CC - that is wonderful....and you give mom hope that maybe one day she will be able to love on Junior...
ReplyDeleteHow cute are you! That made us a little teary. I only like faces up close to me on my own terms. Gotta be careful of germs, you know.
ReplyDelete-Lishy
Woohoo - that is cause for celebration. your mom must have the midas touch! Talk about progress - from feral to such a snuggler.
ReplyDeleteHave a great nap!!!! Dream with angels!
ReplyDeleteConCats!!! Well deserved :)
ReplyDeleteCC you inspired me to go and snorgle Austin's belleh......

Sokay, it's only a scratch and I'm told the stitches can come out on Monday!
What a smart boy you are CC! See, the wise dealers always give out the first few hits for free, and then once you've got 'em on the hook, you can make 'em pay and pay. Sure, let her hum and huff for free another time or two and then up the ante--oh, start small--maybe a Temptation of two? And then once she's really in your clutches, you can start demanding fried chicken and fresh salmon.
ReplyDeleteWow that was exciting...I am an admitted cat sniffer too!!! Well done CC you are a very good and generous boy to let your mummy snorgle you. Perhaps if Scouty was watching he might get inspired :-)
ReplyDeleteoh I am a cat sniffer too..I love smelling their sweet little heads and they all smell different our pody lynn (maine coon) smells like a graham cracker..very sweet..I am so happy you got to sniff your little man finally and that he was loving it,.;)
ReplyDeleteHa, ha ha.....that's funny....but beware humans, we kitties get spooked by loud noises even from outside! =^Y^=
ReplyDeleteCC that was very inspiring and we know it made your Mom very happy. Mom loves to sniff me too. She says I smell "clean" whatever that means.

Snorgling is pretty cool, isn't it, CC?? We think you're hooked now!
ReplyDeleteOur mom doesn't sniff our tummies...maybe we'll have to convince her it's a good idea.
ReplyDeleteBut we all like face time, especially when Mom is asleep! You shud see her reaction when we whisker her to get her to wake up and feeds us. MOL.
Enjoy the snorgling CC
Sasha, Sami, & Saku (Mom Eileen)
Another milestone in yer life! And in yer Moms...
ReplyDeleteDid you smell like talcum powder? TBT says all healthy clean cats smell like talcum powder.
First CC...I luvluvluv the new rules for this Award...purrfect...if ya get it ya have to tell something that has happened to you recently that is/was "Inspiring"!!
ReplyDeleteOk, next...ya give me and Mom and Dad such hope for our relationship. They cannot pick me up...they have to plot how and when to 'do it' and then catch me unawares (like for my nail trimming). I don't like peeps to put their face near me...but I have started to allow Mom to lightly lay her head on my back, and now on my shoulders...NO TUMMY SNORGLING yet...
You give us hope that I will grow over time to trust more and more
Finally...and...errr...ummm....I hate to be the only one to bring it up...but did ya know...well...hmmm...how can I say this...did ya know you kind'a sort'a 'out'ted' yourself? ya know what I mean...with that comment "if Mommy spanks my bottom I'm in heaven"...OH MY CAT!!! YOU ARE A SPANKING CAT!!!
I swear I shoulda never let That Woman go over there and check alla you guys out! I mean, with all that deviant behaviour! MY WORD!
ReplyDeleteThat Woman does have a sniffing problem too, but lately she seems to do it to The Ornj Mutant mostly. Can't say I blame here there, he is really buttery cream frostingy. Ahem! At least, that was SHE say's. *I* would have no idea!
love, purss & spanks
Ms. Stella O'Houligan
This is the best Snorgle news. Trish deserves a medal. It took Domino 7 years!
ReplyDeleteWe thought our mom was weird smelling us! Though she doesn't snorgle cause we have dignity and claws, and wouldn't allow it. She can smell our backs, and our butts if she wants, but that's it! We don't like bean kissies either, but will put up with ones on our heads.
ReplyDeleteWOO HOO!!! SNORGLING!!!!!! Actually we aren't big on snorgling here, but we are glad you finally let your Mom snorgle you!
