Kitties!
The Baby here.
Everything may look copacetic in this photo, but I am here to tell you that I have been violated.
Have I ever mentioned that I have verreh waxy ears?
Daddy cleans them for me almost daily. (I get to sniff the Q-tip afterwards. That's the deal.)
I also have incredibly boogeriferous snootstrils. Mommy is always using her thumbnail to spruce up my nose. (I don't need to sniff those, they were in my nose for Cod's sake!)
And I get giant black eye gummies. Daddy rubs 'em off onto a washcloth. (No inspection whatsoever.)
You could say I'm kinda high maintenance.
I say I'm worth it.
However, lately I have had way more ear wax and boogers and gummies than usual...and Daddy noticed me scratching at my ears and shaking my head a lot. Can't get away with nothin' around here...out came the harness and off to the Evil Vet we went!
When I have to go to the vet we don't use the carrier, instead I sit in Mommy's lap shaking like a leaf quietly, with my head buried in her armpit. It's safe there. Really. Forest and all.
I got my ears examined and cleaned, and an allergy shot for my runny eyes and snotty nose. And yes, I had my temperature taken.
Talk about intrusive.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have some Vet Stank to wash off.
Happy Thursday!
XX The Un-Itchy Baby XX
Aw Baby...that must have been awful. What is it with white kitty cats anyway. Lily has all those same issues and I am always bugging her to clean something or other. Must say though, once cleaned up there is no cat more b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l than Lily-bug.
ReplyDeleteYo Baby! That's the kind of violation all of us can do without. What's wrong with waxy ears? Maybe we'll produce enough wax to start a candle factory or something? And, the hoomans hate wax so much, why do they wax their cars after they've washed it? Duh? har har har *evil laughs*
ReplyDeletepee ess....I have waxy ears too....
Aww, poot Baby! That's an awful thing to have happen! But you kitties with the white around the eye are prone to messy eyes.. think about adding some eyeliner, might help.. MOL
ReplyDeleteI hope you got a good treat for having to go to that place, and keep you nose buried in a pit to get there.... Did the vet let you sniff whatever came out of your ears? Somehow.. I bet not. poor thing!
Oh you poor little Baby! How dare they? You make sure to wash off all that evil scent off your paws and ears and nose and specially where the temp was taken... talk about violation!!!
ReplyDeleteHow very, uh, err, INVASIVE of them! We bet that allergy shot is just what you needed, though. Mebbe you better haf a nice roll in the dirt, it will fix what ails ya.
ReplyDeleteAwww Baby, sorry to hear about the vet visit.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course you are worth all the care the humans are giving you!
Hope it will console you a little: I've nominated you guys for an award: http://texascatny.wordpress.com/2012/08/15/thanking-you-for-the-awards-finally/
Many purrs
That is not good. Äiti has very waxy ears at the moment, I wonder if I should take her to the vet in revenge for all the violations against cat-kind.
ReplyDeleteBut you must now be sparkling clean and hearing everything in the next state - surely it is time for a mega roll in the dirt ?
That is violation in the First Degree!
ReplyDeleteOh Baby shounds like a traumatic day for you. HOpe you are all better now. Hugs Anesha
ReplyDeleteOooh, I hope you feel better though
ReplyDeleteOh my poor, poor little darling! I will teleport RIGHT OVER and groom your earsies for you. I guarantee my work, too: No trace of vet stank remains or you get a free face-washing too! XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel better, Hammy and I get the same treatment here. Indignities!!
ReplyDeleteAwww Baby, what an intrusive day you have had. Simba gets his nose picked regulary and I get my eyes un gunked too. The things we have to put up with huh :)xx
ReplyDeleteYou are VERY tolerant of all that messing with. We would not put up with all that handling without SOMEBODY getting a bitey.
ReplyDeleteoh you poor thing...I hate getting my temp..but would rather get it in my mouth then where you get yours..my sunny bunny gets her nose buggers picked all the time..she is the only one who will let us do it..and she gets eye goobers too...you are high maintenance..but so worth the trouble..I wouldn't trade my 9 in for nothing..:)and you have me saying oh my Cod all the time now..Just sayin..
ReplyDelete"Forest and all.." LOLOL
ReplyDeleteCopacetic?? My new word of the week :)
Baby, so you've had a wax job and been deboogified! Everything is now copacetic, so stop being so copathetic sweetie ;) xox
boogeriferous snootstrils... ahahahaha!
ReplyDeleteYes, I laughed. I am sorry. I just couldn't help it, for Cod's sake.
Sorry for laughing *MOL*
ReplyDeleteI really feel VERY sorry for you , The Baby !
Oh you poor little thing!!! SUch indignities inflicted on such a regal creature! I'm glad you were at least able to find refuge in Mommy's pit-forest. Poor thing...
ReplyDeleteAwwww The Baby!! But you are so worth it!!! Yay!!! Awwwwww hope you get extra cuddles and ear waxed cotton buds to sniff!! LOL!! Take care
ReplyDeletex
oh, the outrage.
ReplyDeleteWas the vet doing an offer - buy 2 treatments and get one free? Poor you being used for such a purpose Baby.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
sheesh - how rude!!! mom says the Doc had very nasty ears and wouldn't let her clean them - so she told the v-e-t to do it when he was knocked out to be neutered - he came back less a couple of parts and lots of nasty ear stuffs. MOL
ReplyDeleteYou poor thing. :-(
ReplyDeletePoked at both ends...disgusting!Why do we put up with humans?
ReplyDeleteThe Maple Syrup Mob

ReplyDeletepee ess: Sissy sends her sympafy...she has a weepy eye that gets wiped all da time.
That is never, ever a good day when that happens!
ReplyDeleteWe send you many sympathies The Baby! That's just horrible! For some reason though, our mommy is laughing about the forest. Humans are weird.
ReplyDeleteMOL MOL MOL we are not laughing at you but with you!! Bless your sweet little waxy ears.
ReplyDeleteBaby it appears that you need to learn to sit with your tush'ems to the all next time you visit the vet.
Hugs Madi your BFFF
Poor Baby! So what caused your ears to itch that much? We hope it wasn't ear mites. Those things are NASTY!
ReplyDeleteMommy is the Gummies wiper. And she uses her fingers. Yeeeesh.
Tanner has really bad ears too, and this time the vet checked and he is on tresaderm for a week...it has really helped!
ReplyDeletepoor Baby! Purrrrs purrrs purrrs!
ReplyDeleteAwful! Perfectly awful! But we do hope your ears feel better!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
Heh heh. Mom picked up on the forest reference right away...you are so snarky!!
ReplyDeleteWe are glad that when you get boogery & waxy & gummy that they take you to be attended to, even if it is A Little Bit Scary. Hope you are feeling better now and the stink is gone!
Aww the wayz yooo's discribed that..sooo funny but I needed a bucket...Wez soo glad youz OK,,Urg the Q-tip and booogers...too much information..lol
ReplyDeletehugs Mollie and Alfie
Well all we can say is that you will feel so much better. We have some kitties here that have the same problem. Orange boy had to have a shot on Wed. for allergies. It seems a lot of kitties are having these problems. Hope you feel better now.
ReplyDeleteseriously Baby! That is too much violation for one little cat...and are you actually OUTSIDE??? I didn't think any of you guys go outside?? Especially you with your sensitive skin...do you have on sun screen??? You probably need level 150?? Sorry about the rear end intrusion, isn't that just the very last straw!! ugh, paw pats, Savannah
ReplyDeleteNext time, try biting the mommy's armpit. That'll make her think twice about holding you hostage while they do the unmentionable to you!
ReplyDeleteMy human says we're real, real sorry we haven't been in touch lately. Work has been crazypants and we've lost touch with a lotta peoples because of it. We really hope you forgive us! She's on a new computer thingy now, and says if your mommy emails her, she'll add her to a folder that has lots more baby pictures in it!
We're really sorry again. We read every day, but our human is just inconsiderate enough not to write!
Oh The Baby! How awful to be violated in such a way. I also get very waxy ears and a while ago they got worse. I was also marched off to the evil vet and given new ear cleaning stuff that made me smell like a strawberry. Then when my ears are all nice and clean, mum puts horrible drops in them that makes them all nasty and oily. Where's the sense in that?
ReplyDeleteEric
hope you are feeling better, I was there yesterday myself... :(
ReplyDeleteForest...oh my COD you got my mommy lafffing and she really needed a laff.
ReplyDeleteWell, The Baby. You have King Spitty coming over to give you a baff..so that should make it all good again. Sigh.
By the way, if mommy can do it and if she doesn't mind, ask her if she can tell Tia and Millie that in no way can I comment on their blog. Mom and I read it but we could not get any link to respond. I didn't want her to think I didn't visit. It just won't work.
xox
That was a hard day, Baby! We hope all that cleaning and shot last a while...
ReplyDeleteOh The Baby! What a day you had. But we hope it was all worth and your ears are back to being the normal waxy that they usually are.
ReplyDeleteOh dear Baby, we are sorry you had to visit the vet and be violated. Hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteAlthough we nose you had to go through sum horrific pawcedures at the VET, we hope you fweel better soon! The thing we HATES most is when they put that fever stick where the sun don't shines!!!! Hello folks....that is an EXIT not and ENTRANCE!!!
ReplyDeleteOMC! The evil Vet! How dare they!
ReplyDeleteMe thyinks yous should roll in the dirt! Me does that when me gets home from the vet!
ReplyDeleteKisses
Nellie
PS Oh yes, yous MUST also yaks all over the place in the middle of the night too!
Banjo is going to the vet this afternoon. He will be one mad puddy tat when we get home.
ReplyDeleteHope you got the vet stank off Baby!
xo Catherine
Me is so sorry dis happens to you, The Baby! Me goes to the V.E.T. in a harness too. Is much more dignified, me says!
ReplyDeleteMe hopes you feels all better, but still gets to smells the Q-Tip.
Your furend, TK
So sorry to hear about your ordeal. Vet stank takes about 24 hours to disappear, but maybe Salem will share some nip dust with you - THAT should make you feel better!
ReplyDeleteMOL, this was one of the funniest posts I've read in a looong time.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you had to go to the V.E.T. We just did that too.
MOL on "vet stank"
I have kitties that have that same type of maintenance schedule, and yes, they are so totally worth it. I hope your vet was able to help you, even if he did stank you up.
