A Status Report, By: The Baby

Kitties!

The Baby here.

Some of you may have read on Facebook about my impromtu vet visit on Monday.

First off:  THANK YOU all so much for your purrs!  They worked, because;

Secondly:  I am back to my sassy spoilt self.

It was very strange--Monday morning I was in fine form, pestering Mommy requesting my cream dot  (without the coffee, natch) and pacing for pets and loveys--but by the time Mommy got back from yoga at 11:00 I was hunched up and visibly shaking, obviously in pain.  So the peeps packed me up and whisked me off to see Dr. Auggie tout suite.  I had only a very slightly elevated temp (they took it TWICE) so given my history of irritable bowel disease I got an injection of Cerenia for nausea (with pills for later, if I need 'em) and Clavamox for infection, just in case.  And all of you were purring for me!  So by 6 PM I was much better.  I had several long drinks at the water fountain (and pooped), and ate a big midnight snack when Mommy got home from work.

Hopefully, my distress was nothing more than a passing thing.  I had eaten some dried kibble the week prior and Mommy thinks that may have irritated my innards.  No more of that for me!  Which is kind of a bummer, but I'd rather not have to see the vet again until my next check-up, and not a moment before.

Thank you again for keeping me in your thoughts.

Happy Thursday!

The Awful Terrible No-Good Day

Kitties!

The hind end of Johnson here.
Apparently a Mancat can't wheeze and sneeze and shake his head and fling snot all over in his own home without the peeps having a hushed discussion and then dragging said Mancat (howling the Song of His People) off to the vet.

The trauma forced me to lose a whisker!

Naturally the vet loved me, but unfortunately not enough to prevent her from violating my exit valve to see if I had a fever (no) and prying my inlet valve open to inspect my teefs (clean).

The whole traumatic experience almost made me want to get back into the car...and that's saying something.

The verdict?  I have a little kitty cold--I am prone to them--so it's ten days of the Vile Brown Ooze and helicopter peeps until the wheezing subsides...
*crappity, crap crap, crap*

Happy Tuesday!

Sylvester's Terrible Day

Kitties!

Sylvester here.

Yes...here at the Vet's office!

Daddy got his first smartphone last week.  Mommy showed him how to dial it--and nothing else.  So what did she say when Daddy called her at work and said she was at the vet's office with me?  "Take pictures!  Just tap the wee camera icon, point and shoot."

Treacherous strumpet.
Can't a guy get the sneezies without getting hauled off to the Palace of Doom?

It's just seasonal allergies, for Cod's sake.  And where's all the baseboard?  What kind of outfit is this, anyway?

I don't see you; therefore you don't exist.

::door opening::

aiiieeeeeee!!!
Here she is--the Ebil Vet Lady!

You may admire all NINETEEN pounds of me.  Pure muscle, ladies.

The "Thing That Shall Remain Unnamed" received my Super-Duper Highly Suspicious (and totally justified) Hairy Eyeball.

The Look of Love.

Thanks Daddy, even though it was a buttock clenchingly terrifying awful hour I know I'll feel better soon.  And I'm looking forward to rassling with you twice a day to take my allergy pill.  It's gonna be elebenty-six kinds of fun, I just know it.

Happy Caturday!

A Cod-Awful Experience

Kitties!

The Baby here.
Everything may look copacetic in this photo, but I am here to tell you that I have been violated.

Have I ever mentioned that I have verreh waxy ears?
Daddy cleans them for me almost daily.  (I get to sniff the Q-tip afterwards.  That's the deal.)

I also have incredibly boogeriferous snootstrils.  Mommy is always using her thumbnail to spruce up my nose.  (I don't need to sniff those, they were in my nose for Cod's sake!)

And I get giant black eye gummies.  Daddy rubs 'em off onto a washcloth.  (No inspection whatsoever.)

You could say I'm kinda high maintenance.
I say I'm worth it.

However, lately I have had way more ear wax and boogers and gummies than usual...and Daddy noticed me scratching at my ears and shaking my head a lot.  Can't get away with nothin' around here...out came the harness and off to the Evil Vet we went!

When I have to go to the vet we don't use the carrier, instead I sit in Mommy's lap shaking like a leaf quietly, with my head buried in her armpit.  It's safe there.  Really.  Forest and all.

I got my ears examined and cleaned, and an allergy shot for my runny eyes and snotty nose.  And yes, I had my temperature taken.
Talk about intrusive.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have some Vet Stank to wash off.

Happy Thursday!
