Kitties!
Do you remember seeing Felix hunchy-running behind Salem in yesterday's post?
Here's another photo to tickle your brain cells:
Well, it turns out he wasn't sneaking past Salem to avoid being whapped; he had other, Highly Important things to do.
Oh, hello there Mommy.
Look!
I have a pet cricket.
I see that, Sir.
He's not moving too much any more.
Well, he is missing a leg.
Mommy, that's ridiculous. He's got at least elebenty legs left. He didn't need both those big ones, anyway--one of 'em is a spare. I'm an expert on these matters. Trust me.
If you say so.
I am! Here, I'll prove it to you that he can still move.
::nudge::
*hopitty-limp hopitty-limp*
CRAP!
Mommy, this is all your fault.
*sigh*
Happy Friday!
XX Felix XX
Don't you just hate it when your snack gets away?
ReplyDeleteIt was gonna end up in litter box in one form or another anyway!
ReplyDeleteThat is a fast moving gimpy cricket!
ReplyDeleteYeah, "Mommy comments" DO affect reality! She should know that.
ReplyDeleteThe cricket HAD a leg until Mommy said it dint. Mr. Heisenberg says so. Maybe... I think...
I'm sure he'll come limping back. Unless he jumped into the "pool."
ReplyDeleteDont you have it when your snack takes off like that?
ReplyDeleteYour Mommy better have made it up to you later. With a leg of turkey.....
ReplyDeleteSnacks are so unreliable these days!!
ReplyDeleteUGH! Felix, this happens at my house ALL the time - I can't tell you how many times my good times with crickets have been ruined by my human!
ReplyDeleteOOOO we've never even seen a cricket! What an excellent little thing it is!
ReplyDeleteMr Felix!! You are a walking, stalking, mighty hunter and ginger encyclopedia! We are in AWE! Yay!! Take care
ReplyDeletex
Felix-next time I have a cricket related question, I'll know who to call.
ReplyDeleteBugs break waaaay too easy, Felix. srsly.
ReplyDelete-Gracie
Did it taste good?
ReplyDeleteI hate to say it, but at this point Felix might as well finish off his "pet". I hear crickets are very crunchy.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry,Felix, it hopped over here and 'crrrrrrrckd' all through yesterday evening...we'll send it back!
ReplyDeleteThe Maple Syrup Mob
xxxxxxxxxxx
Well, it was fun while it lasted...maybe a friend of his is around somewhere!
ReplyDeleteDid you end up crunching it, Felix? Inquiring minds want to know.
ReplyDeleteFelix, I had a pet like that once. And one of his legs was missing, too! Then he ALSO went and hid and that was that.
ReplyDeleteVery frustrating!
Oh dear, you broke him. We're always breaking ours as well.
ReplyDeleteDang! He was a nice protein snack too!
ReplyDeleteHow annoying are mums? I like to store my catches in my pantaloons to enjoy later, but my mum pins me down and combs them out. It's just not right.
ReplyDelete-Lishy.
Felix, my mother would have taken the cricket away from you pronto! She really got irritated at our cats for pulling the legs off crickets.
ReplyDeleteFUN.... I´m laughing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a good bug hunter you are, Felix! We like the toys that move on their own too. Well, for a little while anyways. Purrs...
ReplyDeletemmmm crunchy! Purrs for a happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteMy brain cells are indeed tickled!
ReplyDeleteUt-oh...Mommy hates it when we leave *cough* spare parts around!
ReplyDeleteOh Felix youz one clever kittie, not letting the uffers nose what youz waz doing..I hopez he didn't jump in that poo box..BOL xx00xx
ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
Felix, did your Mom help that cricket get away? And after you worked so hard to make him yours....
ReplyDeleteOur Meowm snickered about what your Mom said about the cold and nekkid mens.
Felix, we learned long ago that if you play with your noms for too long, they tend to escape. Any longer than a whap and a flick and the chances are you lose it.
ReplyDeleteFELIX-ISSIMO! If I was dere I sure be helpin' you corral that dude! They do gotz alotta legs don't they! (s'a good thing too!)
ReplyDeleteHappy Hunting
xoxo
Ollie

ReplyDeletethe critters in the cottage xo
Well at least it was fun while it lasted. Crickets and grasshoppers are the most fun. We love chasing and jumping after them. Have yourselves a super week end.
ReplyDeleteoopps Felix, maybe he will come out again to play with you...'cuz with less than elebenty and seven leggies, he isn't swimming across that pond
ReplyDeleteMr. Cricket is gonna hafta come out sometime, Felix. And when he does, we're sure you'll be there ready to help him lose one of those elebenty legs so he can't move again. heheheh...
