Micturating Mancat Monday

Kitties!

Tiny Johnson here.

Do you know what our crazypants Mommy did?
She looked in a thesaurus to find an "M" word for whizzing!  Because she's a fiend for alliteration.

Anyway...some of you have expressed (pun intended) interest in our litterboxpools.  A few years ago after a windstorm a kiddie pool ended up in our neighbor's yard, and Daddy immediately saw the peeing possibilities.  For us, that is.  The rest is history!
We have two sizes--but we prefer the smaller one.  It's cozier.  We also have facilities (in the form of traditional litter boxes) located throughout the house and a box in the Little Out, too, just in case.

The pools are quite simple to use...
...and they're nice and spacious for a Plus-Sized Cat such as myself.  Just look at all the options for tinkling, and other stuff.  You know.  Pooping.  Not rolling around in the sand like one of us--no names but whose initials are CC--has been known to do!

There's acres and acres of sand to dig and bury in, if you're the covering type.

And egress is so easy...always a plus if you like to charge out of the box and run around like your pants are on fire when you're done.

Happy Monday!

XX  Johnny  XX

pee ess:  Mommy says thank you for the well wishes, she's black and blue but not too sore...your purrs helped!  xx

  1. Your Mommy is indeed Queen of the Pun, master of the Synonym and a good few other things. We were hoping for a mancat Monday post from you TJ and have clearly scored triple points when it's also a post on my favourite subject. But you behave so well! The walls of that pool are so low, surely sand gets thrown everywhere ? But no, it's all perfectly clean! You guys are just too well behaved. Personally I am more anarchic in my micturations - my current fav is to standard approximately an American foot in front of the box and hope for the best when I aim. Hehehehe.

  2. Your daddy is so smart. We think that is cool. Do any of you ever get pounced on by one of the others when you are using the pool?

  3. How much sand is in there? san is quite overwhelmed by the size of your pool and indeed so am I. I have to do a lot offur the work offur covering the stuff up.

  4. Yo, now THAT'S a micturating masterpiece. *I* would like a king-sized space such as that. Alas, no catio, and the Human says I can't have one in the living room.

In other news, tell May Ling the Torties are DELICIOUS!

  5. Oh my gosh! Peeping Pee Post!
Star does that 'jump out of the box and race around the room like you just unloaded half a cat's worth of weight and are feeling light as a feather and have to run to tell everyone all about it' thing too.
Um, I hate to nitpick.. but is that..um something that escaped the box next to it there? Is someone an agressive digger or is it a clingon that got away.
I can't believe I'm saying this much about poo... I think I need a seditive!

  6. Your Mommy could have turned the W upside down to create an M :)

With such nice big sand boxes the possibilities of use are just endless.

  7. HaHaMeow! It doesn't get any better than this, alliteration and micturating! The thesaurus is our Mommy's favorite book. MOL!

  8. We think we would LOVE a pool sized litter box! But Mommy says NO. We'll have to make do with the little ones we have. :(

  9. What's a cat to do for some privacy?! Goodness! My Nahum sometimes forgets to squat and if he's pointing toward the entrance, well, there's a problem!

I've heard of these pools being filled with sand for outdoor litterboxpools which can be used by feral cats. Why would a feral cat need an outdoor litterbox you ask? These are used when neighbors complain about feral cats pooping in their flower beds or yard. Hopefully the ferals will like going in the sand better than the neighbor's flower beds! Poop on!

  10. That is a lot of sand and well, I guess for some cats is litter "box" heaven:))

Since you have so many cats, do you have any good advice on keeping the odour down?

  12. My human says we "don't have room" in the house for a litter box pool and "besides, there is only three of you!" But there IS room! I mean, there is ALL that space in the middle of the living room. She can go work out somewhere else.

  13. You certainly have a king sized dumper there..MOL, I'd have such great fun in that :) xx00xx

  15. We confess to being slightly uneasy when we saw the title, but the contents were a lot less worrisome than we feared they would be.

Providing adequate and comfortable "facilities' are a most important duty for humans. We have six litter boxes, three up and three down, and #1 says she feels she spends all day cleaning them...

  16. Mom and I both like large bathrooms :) Not sure about tearin down the wall to make egress easier though ;P

Somehow I missed what happened to your Mom. Glad she just has some bruises and not anything more serious.

  17. We would love to have a litterbox that big, but there's no way it would fit into our house. Do you use regular sand in it? Our mom says it would take a lot of green papers to fill that huge litterbox with our corn-based litter.

  18. Looks like you have lots of room to do your things. Sorry to hear your Mum had a fall. Take care. Anesha

  19. If I had the real estate a pee and poop pool would totally do it for me. Pretty much all of the Gs bound from the box!

Micturating... thanks for that tidbit of knowledge.

  21. At least your sand stays dry - we have regular little in 2 boxes inside and an outside brick built box filled with play sand. Hannah being a diva of course refuses to go outside ever!!

  22. We LOVE that last photo--Tucker jumps out of the box after he's done his business and runs around like crazypants too.

  23. mom says if we had the right space, we would so have one of these.....

purrs to your mom that she heals up fast.

    ReplyDelete
  24. We think your litter pools are the best. But the mom says one would look funny in the middle of our living room so we hafta settle for our normal boxes. Sheesh! We think a litter pool could be an excellent design element for any room!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I think those are terrific...if we only had room...and a Catio!

  26. I wasn't really expecting to learn a new word first thing on Monday morning =)
If only there was room in our tiny apartment for kitty pool luxury litter box. =)

  28. Johnny as long as you are just burying pee and poop and not The Baby all is good.

  29. I liked hearing about the history behind the poop pools.

When a kitty runs from the litter box like a cat out of you know where, the lady calls it the "poop run." Addie the cat used to do it to perfection, banking off the sofa like a Formula One driver.

  30. I'm the Alpha Mancat in the house and I don't have to bury my poop. That little minion Scout does it for me.

  31. Mr Johnson!! You are King of the litterbox pool!!! Yay! Take care

  32. i know I have a brain the size of a pea, but what happened to mommy that she is bruised? Did I miss something??

Thanks for the new word :) The Thesaurus is a very clever dinosaur!

  33. when mama saw that m word on your title she was having second thoughts if she's open a new window and go to dictionarydotcom. thankfully you're mama gave the meaning away.

we also love your pool potty.

  34. This gives a whole new meaning to the term, skinny dipping. ...heh heh

So do you kitties ever have contests/competitions in those litter pools???

I'm sensing a whole new olympic category!

  35. Mommy says that's what I need cause I pee standing up and don't care where it goes. So I have a covered litter box to catch the whizz.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I completely MISSED that about the grocery cart yesterday! Those things are EVILE! Remember..running after one is how momma broke her right wrist and battered her knees so badly her legs swelled to elphantine proportions along with cellulitis inflammation. Black feet and legs scares the heck out of any and all on-lookers.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Ah, I read you have a goon who likes to roll around in the box as well. Oliver does that, on occasion Clyde does it as well. It completely grosses me out--and that takes some doing owing to my penchant for rat eyeball sucking.

Miss Jack may need one of these litterpools. She ALWAYS poops right outside the box. Doesn't matter where it's placed, if it's clean or dirty, she is just that passive aggressive tuxie.

much micturating mayhem marvels to all!

    xoxo

  38. Those pools are just the best potties ever. If only we had the room here. One of those would take up half our house but what the hay, the litter boxes do that anyway.
Hope all of you have a super day. Glad to hear you are all right after you trip up. Take care.

  39. Just my kind of post -- complete with toilet humour and puns! By the way, I adore alliteration, as well. For some reason it makes me happy.

Those kiddy pools are ideal for your pride of lions. Johnny was very kind to provide a true-life picture of what really goes on in and out of it. Most of us don't likely have the space so such luxurious cat toilets.

By the way, I am glad to hear you're not in too much pain, though sorry to hear it happened at all. I just hate falling. Must be something about the total lack of control. It pisses me off!

In that case, I guess I could use a kiddy pool, too!

  40. I love your litter boxes. My human sisfur has htat for her two kitties too. M says it makes good sense if you have more than 1 kitty. Sigh! I guess I don't get one then.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh, how we would LOVE a litter box like that!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Your kitty litterboxpools are so cool! I wish we had enough space in the house to have large pool like yours. Both my boys like to charge out of the box and run around from time to time so I'm sure they will love the pool!

  43. We are also happy your Mom is feeling better after the fall :/ Purrs
We like those boxes. Georgia is the one for charging out of the box!!!

  45. We've got four boxes, one for each of us and an extra, but a pool would be cool, MOL!

(no space for a pool here - they'll have to give it up)

  47. Mommie says that since I am a "kicker" (I have to kick out at least a cup of litter each time I go), that she would hate to see what I could do with a whole pool of it!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I love your mom lookin' for aliteration! I would love Tommy to look for correct use of verbs---however, I love the photo of you doin' the bidness in the sand pool. Definite tickle of the whiskers!

  49. Wow, a pool to pee in! Oh, sorry, to micturate in! There's a reason that word hasn't entered the popular discourse. Anyway, Pisi would love to pee in your pool. She'd use both of them. And Squeak would watch. So good to see you!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Those are a GREAT idea if you have the room. My question is though, do you still track litter all over the place??? Criminy, I hate that part--why can't litter stay in the box???!

    ReplyDelete
  51. what can I say...you are all spoiled, spoiled, spoiled...as you should be might I add, being "cats"...what a set up...as for myself...I have never, ever rushed from my 'box duty' like my errrrr, ummmmm...pants were on fire...not dignified! just sayin'...

    ReplyDelete
  52. Well it's good to know that other kitties 'charge out of the box and run around like their pants are on fire' as I thought that was just Banjo. Oh you kitties are funny creatures.
