Totally Random Tuesday

Kitties!

We thought we'd better post some photos of us, just in case you've forgotten what we look like!  Also, Mommy has a ton pictures on her memory card from learning how to use her new camera; Daddy bought her a Sony Cybershot point-n-shoot for her birthday.  She loves it!  It doesn't shoot like her Canon DSLR does, but it's just the ticket to take along on walks and rides.

Kona, using an artsy-fartsy effect.

Grayce was her very first subject!

Sweet Pea helps test the zoom function.

The Baby helps with depth of field.

Scouty is another zoom subject!  Mommy was trying out natural lighting on the Catio.

Apparently she should have used the flash on Rupert.

CC poses nicely on the "pet" setting.

Group shot, fooling around with shutter speed.
L to R:  Salem, May Ling, Grayce, Felix, and CC

Tiny Johnson, with the cute setting on 10!

Over-exposed Salem.

Sylvester is perfect.
Mommy was very pleased with this one.

Um.  There are so many things wrong here...starting with the fact that Felix LIKES wearing his fancy silk rainbow tie!

Holy Cod is Mommy a flasher!  Maui is all washed out.

At least May Ling's baby blues always shine through.

Happy Tuesday!

  1. Yikes. Point and shoot just sounds like it wil be easier for the pawparazzi to bother you kitties! Well, we loved seeing your beautiful selves anyway. :)

  2. These random photos are most excellent, and we think all the shots are perfect. How could they not be ? However now the pressure will be on if there is a camera to hand all the time. And those point and shoot batteries can last a very long time.....

  3. My human usually uses a Sony Cybershot DSC-HX200V to shoot us - it's lightweight and takes pretty decent photos for a high-end point-and-shoot. It's very fun... for her! I've gotten a little sick of it.

  4. Great pictures of a bunch of our favorite kitties. Mom always says that portability is an important feature in a camera, because if you don't have the camera there when you want to take a picture .......... well you know how to end that sentence!

  5. I keep saying I want a point and shoot. It's hard to haul the Rebel into the goat pen all the time. I think something I can slip in my pocket would be easier.

    May Ling looks aggrieved.

  9. Mommy wishes there was more natural lighting in our house so she doesn't have to use the flash so much.
Somehow, we think your Mommy's birthday present isn't going to give you kitties much privacy....

  13. All wonderful shots. Our peeps mostly use their eye-phones to take pictures of us because they are handy to wave in our faces. You get much better detail with yours.

  17. I went all ooh and aah at Scouty & Sylvester's pictures (am partial to gingers AND tuxies)... But then all you kitties look good no MATTER the camera's (and the human's) 'settings', heh heh.

    And Felix looks all 'business-like'.

  18. Those point-and-shoot cameras are brilliant, especially with a 8gb memory card. Except of course if you are the intended subject of every darned shot!! >^oo^<

  27. Our Mom has always had canons but since she got her hands on a Nikon, she just totally loves it and no need for a flash in low light! She first had trouble getting rid of the green dot that was pointing on us....she kept wondering why one of us would swat the other when she pointed the Nikon at us till she realized the camera was putting out a green subject light....ya had to be there, it was funny.
All of you are looking great and your Mom is doing great with her new camera=^Y^=

  37. Mom has a Sony Cyber Shot too but she thinks it is the other one. Judging from her photos...maybe you should worry? Oh wait!! You KNOW what you are doing. Scratch that.

  38. Your mommy has been very, very busy. The pic of Sylvester is superior. We also are fond of the pic of Baby. But let's face it, we love all the pix. Purrs and hugs, the kitties at www.thecatonmyhead.com, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette.

  39. Mowzers! Mommy's jonesing for a *MINI* DSLR - there are a few nice ones out there she's thinking about.

They use Canon 5D Mark IIs at her work, and those things look like they'd get HEAVY after a while. Not that we kittehs make her work - or pay in any way - for a photo shoot of us. Nope. Wouldn't even cross our minds. *innocent look*

How do you like your point-n-shoot? Mommy needs to get SOMEthing, because SOMEhuman accicdentally left HER camera outside overnight and (wonder of wonders) it won't stay charged now. Pffft, silly woman.
