We are SO Ashamed...

...because we ate DOG treats, and we LIKED'em!

Kitties!

Andrew, the very nice rep from Chewy.com asked us to review a free sample of treats, and Mommy looked over the selection being offered to try--and when she saw these:

...Mommy started laughing!  She emailed Andrew back and asked if kitties could review doggie treats, and he said we could--in fact, lots of cats enjoy eating canine treats.  The ingredients are good, in fact the first ingredient is chicken!  Which we LOVE.  Especially Scouty.

So, on to the shameful taste test!
Salem loved them!

Johhny said "meh", as did May Ling (who refused to be photographed for the event)

Rupert and Grayce checked out a whole piece--Mommy broke 'em up for us but she dropped one.

Grayce wasn't interested (she's not into treats) but Rupert thought they were lip-licking delicious.

Maui gobbled them down!

As did The Baby,

And Sweet Pea!

Sylvester liked them also, but refused to be caught nibbling on camera.
Felix hates everything.
Kona and CC decided that these treats were not for them, either.

Scouty was the acid test...that boy lurves his chicken.
Would he eat it?

No!!!!

Oh well, you can't win 'em all.

Thank you, Andrew and Chewy.com for letting us paw out of our cozy cat nests comfort zone and try a yummy inter-species treat!  We would recommend these--to kitties and woofies!

And don't forget, Chewy.com ships any orders over $49 for free!  We have a standing order and it is so nice knowing we don't have to depend on our ditzy Mommy to keep us supplied.

Happy Thursday!

  7. We tried some doggie treats once, bacon ones because Star's a bacon nut. But they put so much garlic in doggie things because a dog will eat anything with garlic, that it offended Star's sensitive feline nose!

  10. We have heard that there are some brands of dog treats that are basically just meat that are really cross-species, but we haven't tried them yet. We're glad to see reviews like these!

  17. :) I saw those this month and I wondered if kitties would eat them. The Crew doesn't have a good history of eating jerky type treats so I opted out. I'm glad they were well received at your house even if it wasn't unanimous. (Is it ever unanimous over at your house??)

  18. OMC! Did you wag your tails to say thank you?

  19. Scouty is so, so funny. I wonder if we would like those. Mommy says her dog she of when she was in college loved Tender Vittles Kitty food. Do they still make that? Anyway, looks like the liking of others food goes both ways. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  20. Well what a good idea. I could get treats for our dog and give them to the cats too. A double whammy. I am sure some of these millions of cats here wouldn't like them either.Great review. Take care.

  22. Y'know guys, the mom bought some treats for us and it wasn't until she got home with them that she saw that they were for cats AND dogs. We ate them! And loved them! So don't be ashamed. Treats are treats!

  23. We thinks there can't be much difference between kitty and woofie treats, except maybe the size. AND if they're bigger, that's better, right? MOL

  26. Treats made with chickeny goodness sound pretty yummy. Just because they are marketed to doggies doesn't mean kitties can't enjoy them too. We love the expression on Scouty's face!
