The Cessation of Summer

The theme this week is ~OVER~

I snapped this view of the Strip (it's there, trust me) Friday morning while walking down to the wash.  On the way back home I got to see how well my healed kneecap did with a little jogging--it started pouring when I was about a half-mile from the house!  Other than a small limp, I did great (no pain) and I only got a little damp.  So, judging from all the clouds and record breaking rainfall* we've had the past two days, I think it's safe to say that summer is over.

    I walked to my neighbor's house yesterday...

    I cut through yards rather than walking on the street...

    the equivalent of about 2 acres across, there and back again (Hobbit reference? Yes!)...

    It's snowing as I type this....so, yeah, summer and fall is over here as well.

    That's okay, I like the cold and snow too--it keeps my wacky neighbors in their houses! ;) They are probably saying the same about me.

    yep, we are hoping the Almanac is right and that this will be a very strong Winter of us in CA as well as you NV. We are sooooo in a drought here...rain, snow...throw it at us...we are READY!! Great photo BTW

    Our Grandma from the other end of Las Vegas got rain too and wasn't too happy about it. When our rains come though, they'll stay while you will return to sun and nice temps. You lucky ducks.
