Kitties!
The Mommy here.
Check out Miss Whalem Salem, sitting on the chair and ottoman.
Simultaneously.
From above all looks normal on the pair...
...but from the side it appears that some of Salem has slipped betwixt the two!
Further investigation reveals a lil' white hind footie poking out.
With toes strategically anchored to prevent further slippage, I assume.
What a silly!
Happy Friday!

'Whalem' - hehehehe.
ReplyDeleteWell, that is a convenient little tootsie space, and she take advantage of it so her toesies can breathe. Also it helps in weight distribution across two pieces of furniture so there is less chance of breakage....... Go for it girl.
There is a bit of Salem...it's good her claws are so strategic
ReplyDeleteTime to buy a bigger chair!
ReplyDeleteMommy will pay for this when Salem sees these pictures on the web!
ReplyDeleteIt's always the best parts that fall through the cracks!
ReplyDeleteThats to keep her temperature even. Just like having a foot out from under the covers.
ReplyDeleteXoxo

Looks like a fine feat of engineering to me!
ReplyDeleteWe unnerstand that! Sometimes we are sittin on TBTs legs and they, so slowly, get pushed apart by our weight. "Falling to the floor" HAS happened.
ReplyDeleteSalem knows that you gotta occupy as much furniture as possible. This is usually more evident at night when taking up space in the bed, but Salem is taking it to other parts of the house.
ReplyDeleteHey, we have a DUTY to take over as much space as possible. It's a rule. Everyone knows this.
ReplyDeleteGood jog Salem, to prevent any more slippage. You don't look like a whale to us. That Mom is norty to say that or something similar. Take care.
ReplyDeleteYou could tuck some of your belly down the gap and look like a Slim Jim!!!
ReplyDeleteThe REAL Maple Syrup Mob xxxxx
To a cat there is no such thing as uncomfortable. srsly.
ReplyDeleteThey must make chairs sized xxl.
ReplyDeleteWe think that's pretty clever Salem! Don't want your feets to get too warm under your, uh, beautiful body!
ReplyDeleteLOL that is classic! Sadie will do that with two dining room chairs, but she is far more, um petite than Salem. :-)

; ) Katie
Silly but cute, and Salem's exasperated look in the second photo is priceless. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteMOL! Good job she's got her bum wedged on the chair.
ReplyDeleteOh Salem! Your mom is having some fun at your expense. We think you look quite comfy there.
ReplyDeleteSilly? No, strategic paw placement for the most comfort.
ReplyDeleteI always think we should be more like cats when it comes to finding comfortable positions...but maybe not in this case!
ReplyDeleteToo funny - what a sweetie!
ReplyDeletexo Catherine
whoa. are you sure someone has checked the tensile strength of that chair? you may want to get a structural engineer out soon. I mean, it could blow, any minute...
ReplyDeleteSparky
